I bought this watch about a year ago. It’s an amazing watch. It made me view Tudor in a different light. The burgundy is way better in person. It fits great.
I picked it up too. Love that it’s thinner and with in-house movement. I have the rubber strap which I like for its more casual everyday wear. T-fit is fantastic.
I got the Burgundy Black Bay in summer last year (after a decent wait of 4 months and calling all Tudor ADs in southern Germany) after wanting a Tudor all along and somehow falling for the hype for this piece. With its red bezel, it is completely different to everything else im my collection, but the overall finish, the bracelet, the vintage vibes make it an outstanding piece. But what surprises me the most is the movement. I am a fan of Omega's co-axial movements (also own one) and always considered them being the pinnacle of watch technology. Yet my Black Bay keeps way better time than my Planet Ocean (well, my PO is at +2 s, so not bad at all), mostly it is indeed keeping +0 compared to my reference time, which comes from a radio controlled G-shock. Well done Tudor
just bought this TUDOR BB 41 Burgundy, as passing thru Duty Free in Germany. I saw it, wanted it, got a great price - less the duty & tax, and with limited availability couldn't pass it by. now seeing all the positive reviews and reinforcement to my decision, and my personal taste, just love this watch....perfect size, look, and finish. been wearing my Panerai GMT, but that's going to stay in drawer for a while, as I enjoy my new BB. thanks Teddy for your insight and expertise, not only on TUDOR, but on all your videos....
Great timing. I got this watch on the 5 link 5 days ago it’s stunning in person and the red wears alot better than you might think from pictures. Feels alot darker and less flashy. Compliments the 5 link well and is an eye catcher forsure
Love the "Tudorilee" bracelet. I`m upping my watch game this year and Tudor is now my manufacturer of choice. I love their unique sales strategy of having shops with watches in that they will sell you. This is also influenced by Teddys great videos and Oisin O`Malleys as well. I`ve got a 7.25 wrist and a Tudor is the way to go.
Yes…what a novel approach to doing business…having shops, stocking them with merchandise and actually allowing people to come in and purchase something right then and there.
I got this watch for a few months now. Wears very nicely on my 6.5 inch wrist and e 5 link bracelet just wrap’s comfortably. love the dial and accents and e burgundy bezel just pops out. Beautiful! The movement is the game changer and i think lots more in e BB range will get this upgrade.
I first saw this watch in Brooklyn. I thought a bit thick but loved the color. My wife blessed me with it for Christmas from a business trip out of the country. I love it on the 3 link!
The bracelet brushing has this faux patina look to it, and I’m diggin it! Always liked the burgundy. If I had 5 grand burning a hole, this would be the one.
I'm very seriously considering the purchase of this BB 41 burgundy for my sixty-fifth birthday this summer. It's been on my mind for many months now, and this video is getting me very excited. The oyster bracelet is more to my liking as I have an 8 1/2 inch wrist and I find the jubilee bracelet too flexible. Good job Teddy.
I ordered this watch from my AD last September and it arrived the beginning of November, just in time for my son's wedding. The burgundy color is deep and shows more red in sunlight. The T-Fit clasp so easy to use, and it allows for a perfect fit on any day. I ordered the 5 link bracelet and it has to be the most comfortable watch I have in my collection. My next purchase will be the 42mm blue Pelagos. I have worn a Sub (borrowed from a friend to see how it felt for a few days), but I see absolutely no reason to pay more for Rolex. Thickness and lug-to-lug dimensions do not amount to anything for my wearing experience. The history and quality of Tudor has made me a fan.
A new owner of this watch with the jubilee bracelet here. I have been looking to adding the red Black Bay to my collection, and this update made me pull the trigger The more comfortable bracelet with the micro adjustment I love from Rolex, I went for the jubilee version, slighty slimmer and the new red color. And not mention METAS certification. I have fairly small wrists, which was why I originally went for the Rolex Submariner over the original Black Bay. It was simply too chunky on my wrist. That is not the case with the new version. So when my local AD finally got one in stock i picked it up. A clear recommendation from here!
In the 6 months I've owned this, I have had 3 strangers come up to me and say "nice watch". Maybe the jubilee, maybe the red color, but that hasn't happened to me before (except fellow watch nerds complimenting me on my Speedmaster). I have owned all three iterations of the red black bay and this one is definitely the best. Love it.
Own this with the oyster-style bracelet. It is my most worn watch since I got it last summer. The accuracy of this watch is mind blowing and the only watch I have that beats it is a quartz based Casio that is linked to atomic time. The burgundy bezel with the sunburst black dial is jaw dropping, you have to see it in person to truly appreciate it.
I saw a flash of the watch with the black rubber strap and thought it looked great. But the one you mentioned would look SO NICE! I love the bracelet but with the rubber strap, it tones down the bling factor and yes, I could see myself wearing this as a daily driver. I like to keep things toned down for 'everyday'. Great idea!
Like the watch, especially the jubilee bracelet flavor and the clasp. The BB58 is still my favorite Tudor though. I wish however the brand to come out with a new movement with the functionality of the Omega 8900. A Tudor Black Bay 58, on a jubilee bracelet with T- clasp and with a jumping hour hand movement will be a killer watch. Thanks Teddy!
I own this watch and a number of others including JLC and breitling, yet this watch and its bracelet in particular is the most premium feeling one out of the lot. I'm looking forward to more timepieces of this calibre from Tudor.
? I've handled a lot of Tudors, but I would not agree to that statement. Robustness is not the same as "premium". And saying that Tudor is more premium than JLC is just ridiculous. I've owned a Tudor Pepsi GMT, it was very nice (although it ran WAY out of spec from new) but miles away from my Breitling and Rolex. Which is okay, since it costs way less.
@keesketsers5866 my Tudor bracelet, has tighter margins between the links, a clasp with more adjustments, a more solid feel with less interlink movements and a smoother as I use my finder to course along the underside of the bracelet, whereas the Polaris bracelet, while excellent by industry standards, doesn't quite rise to these standards, hence the comparison. The dial and finishing is won handsdown by JLC but as the bracelet imarts most of the watch feel for me, I'm prepared to stand by this statement, but thanks for the rejoinder nonetheless. Enjoy your watches in good health my friend.
I should add that this metas cert movement is running directly in parallel with the JLC in accuracy. Older Tudors with different movements may not, but that wasn't my comparison.
Great video, Teddy! I purchased this piece on the black rubber strap with the “T-Fit” clasp. Love how comfortable and easy it is to wear. Excited to see what the brand has in store for us!
Looked seriously hard and managed to get the only one available in the UK i could find and therefore assume last one from an AD in Oct 23. Its amazing to wear, non watch people comment, it's classy and gives me a smile every time its on my wrist. I love it. A future collectors piece
I've had this one on wrist and they really nailed it. It's so much more wearable (for non-small wrists) than the old one. I am now just hoping for additional colors to release this year. A blue one might make me get my wallet out.
It's good to reward ourselves sometimes . While I'm not one to spend on high-end watch (I spend too much money on travel, lol), I can appreciate your gorgeous and timeless watch. I love how it's a symbol of all your hard work. And i choose NKUWAN every time honestly
The purchase of my Black Bay last summer was absolutely spontaneous. Actually, I intended to pick up my Pelagos 39 and had the Black Bay shown to me with both the Oyster and Jubilee bracelet options. In the end, I took both watches. While the Pelagos 39 is my daily beater, I mostly wear the Black Bay only when going out on weekends. It's just a special watch and always will be!
i just got the burgundy! and i love it! seems to be my Every Day Watch! over my GMT jubilee batman, and date submariner... just a perfect watch.. for me it is like a red bezel sub on jubilee..
I owned this watch for almost a year and i absolutely loved it❤ i recently sold it to get a datejust 36 and although the datejust is a level up, i kinda liked my blackbay more
I own this watch and the one thing that always gets me when I put it on is just how amazing the bracelet is! Adjusting it is easy and always gives you a perfect fit, I would say it’s better then Rolex jubilee
I love this watch comfortable on the wrist, the color way is what made me have to have it, the MT cert someone over there knows what they’re doing. Can’t wait to see what’s next from Tudor
I bought the first one that came to my AD last May. You are spot-on about the sizing. 6.5 wrist here, so I was going to get the BB54. But when I tried them both on, I was amazed at how nice the 41mm felt and looked on my wrist. Plus the burgundy bezel and jubilee bracelet on the 41mm made the BB54 look boring (and small) when side-by-side. By the way, Teddy, this AD is in your neighborhood. I have family in Cleveland, so I travel there frequently. I’m still waiting for you to open a storefront so I can possibly meet you.
Own it. Was lucky enough to find it in the 5 link. Wears well. Looks like a much more expensive watch. I get a lot of complements as well. The crown is fell is not as tight or precise as my longines hydro which I find interesting. But it’s a great watch that I would recommend
I purchased mine last July. Absolutely love it. I have owned the metas seamaster 300m before as well. I love omega but the black bay is just better in every way.
I bought this watch last December and it’s getting a lot of wrist time. I love the thoughtful design updates, calibre upgrade and the overall look. It’s a winner. Red is my favourite colour and this checks off all the boxes.
What I like with Tudor is the blank caseback so it's possible to get a nice engraving done on them! A glass back is cool to look at the mouvement but sometimes it's not the focus.
Great explanation! I bought this model when it became available. It gets more wrist time than my VC OS, Rolex, etc because it's such a darn good watch!
I bought it last year and put an uncle jubilee bracelet due to at the time when I bought it, the watch was only with the oyster style bracelet. It does look better with the jubilee. I have the Pelagos blue date dial, the BB GMT opaline dial and PRO. I can’t wait to try on the 2024 watches from Tudor.
I have the blue bezel and the new burgundy bezel. The slimmer case and new bracelet elevate the BB to a new level. The updated watch simply wears so much better.
I was about to buy a BB41 in blue but when I heard Tudor is going to expand the Metas range I decided to wait. For a few hundred dollars it's a no brainer.
I almost bought it but had a weird feeling I’d be getting a call from my ad for something better and held off. Spidey senses were correct , but I’d love to get one of these some time!
I just bought one today. Looks so much better in person and on the wrist. Originally went to buy a Rolex Air King, still want it but not available, and saw this watch and couldnt resist. Tudor did a great job!!!
Not a hope in hell.. and you can come back to my comment in April to see I was right all along. First they will update the rest of the 41mm BB (black and blue bezels), they might do both of them this year or over 2 years. Then it’s the OG 42 Pelagos turn around 2025/2026. Then BB58 black around 2028. Followed by Pelagos 39/FXD. BB54 will be the last to get updated to METAS.
I just bought this watch recently and I absolutely love it! It is a perfect size and wears smaller, in my opinion, than the 41mm size. Tudor has really slimmed down this watch and now it really wears nicely. I had a Tudor GMT Pepsi that I sold because it was just too big and bulky for me. Overall, I really like this watch with its vintage vibe and the jubilee bracelet with the T-fit clasp. It is finished just as good as any Rolex and so for me, Tudor has really come into its own and is no longer in the shadow of the big brother brand. This watch is a home run for Tudor as is the new all black version!
Bought this last summer. Fantastic watch. An unspoken factor is that it is a clear distinction from Rolex to the layman, with its unique burgundy and 5 link on a diver
waiting for my BB54 I was offered this one new. Loved it on hand, but not quite on my tinny wrist; a pity. However, I now have my loved BB54. I have a tiny tiny wrist...
I’m fond of Tudor ever since (last year) I bought the Black Bay 54, which gets by far more wrist time than my other watches put together. I may have to convert to a one-and-done collector at some point.
I'm not a big Diver fan... Just not my thing. But this one might be the one exception. The understated elegance, fantastic color combinations and the burgundy dial... This might be it. And as great watch it is, not crazy expensive. And as someone else mentioned here, they added a black and red RubberB which tones it down just. little more for me to wear it as a daily driver. It's on my list. ❤
The Black Bay wasn't the watch that "started it all" - that was the Tudor Heritage Chrono, two years before the BB and the first of the slew of obviously retro-inspired watches from the revitalised Tudor. A rare omission there from this usually well researched channel. Often forgotten, if it was even remembered in the first place, because it wasn't sold in America or Britain. It was everywhere else though.
What a beautiful watch. My favorite Tudor and one I'd love to own. I think it would look spectacular on my 7.75" wrist. Now I just need to find the cash to own one.
Feels like this is the continuation of our conversation on IG. Really curious what they’ll release at W&W 2024 and hoping for full METAS across the line + that jubilee bracelet. Counting on a full overview + your insight when they’re released! 🎉
One of the only watches IMHO that you feel you get close to what you pay for out of Geneva right now. This model wears so well, finishing is superb, bracelet and rubber strap are both fantastic
I had a blue BB41, i loved the way it looked. I like it even more than my BB58. It was just to big for me which is unfortunate. It wears quite big for a 41mm watch. I have a 7 and a quarter inch wrist too.
Just bought this watch today. It’s beautiful and feels significantly lighter than my original Black Bay 41 and definitely lighter than my Black Bay Chrono. I love it.
Interesting upgrade and considered switching from my bb58. However, was too loud when worn, so look forward to a blue bezel version which is no doubt on the way.
There was one in the display case on oyster bracelet at my local AD so I grabbed it 2 months ago. Just about perfect with the thinner case, Metas (mine is +2 seconds/day, and T fit which I use surprisingly often! Am on the “waitlist” for a no date Sub but nah, I’m good
Putting the thickness issue in perspective, 1 mm is one 25th of an inch. Look at a ruler with both inch and millimeter scales and see if you think that much less would make a difference in wearability. Teddy is always saying things like ”this 39 mm wears more like a 39-1/2 mm". Has he got a micrometer insert in his eyeballs, LOL?
In defence of sizes, I tried on a BB54 on rubber with the T-fit clasp last week. The 37mm jumped out as just too small for me. Even my wife (usually totally uninterested) remarked on how it just didn’t look right. Such a shame as I was going to treat myself for a special birthday. I have the Casio Duro 44mm and it looks acceptable in sporty wear and numerous Seiko and “homages” in the 40-42mm range. They all look good in their own way. But that 3mm difference really put the watch in the “not for me” bag.
nice review! i like the first manufacture calibre version the most (after the first with eta and the rose logo). i think the smooth and fine crown design with the coloured tube was like a signature design for the blackbay which i love. i might be biased owning this older thicker BB although. :D
Looks Amazing. LaT year i buy the Bb58 in Black… i love it. But this looks also amazing… i woult prever a snowflake second hand because this is more the stand alone tudor style. But allways tudor makes stunning watches and has a good style
Hi teddy. I’m very new to the world of watch. I bought my first watch in 2017. Bought a Casio gshock 5524 which is basically powered by solar/battery. Bought it on sale in London. Because of my job, I am surrounded by “watch enthusiasts”. I wanted to be educated more on watches. So, I went to RUclips And bumped in to one of your vids a few years back. You were comparing an orient, Seiko, and citizen. I love my gshock. I mean, on top of it being a watch, its multi-purpose functions work wonders for me. My question is between a citizen and a g-shock, what would be a good watch to wear for work? It was recently bought up to my attention that gshock don’t fit the uniform. So, how do you exactly understand the value of each watch? I mean, if we’re gonna be talking about accuracy in time telling, quarts movement do a better job, right? So what exactly is the basis for a watch to be a good watch? I mean, how do you compare them? Besides the obvious, how do you quantify the value of a watch?
One thing not mentioned directly from you is that the bracelet is slimmer. The old was 22mm, tapering to 18 at the clasp, while the new is 21mm, tapering to 16 at the clasp. This makes it more comfortable on wrist and the bracelet has now the same dimensions as the latest Sub.
I bought this watch about a year ago. It’s an amazing watch. It made me view Tudor in a different light. The burgundy is way better in person. It fits great.
Lemme guess...it's amazing because it keeps time
@@tedlambert12LOL savage. Yeah but it keeps awesome time. Like, awesomely.
I picked it up too. Love that it’s thinner and with in-house movement. I have the rubber strap which I like for its more casual everyday wear. T-fit is fantastic.
it's not even a year old......
You can definetly tell that it is thinner. The bracelet was also nice.
I got the Burgundy Black Bay in summer last year (after a decent wait of 4 months and calling all Tudor ADs in southern Germany) after wanting a Tudor all along and somehow falling for the hype for this piece. How much did you pay?
Great timing. I got the call from the AD today for this watch! I pick it up in a few days time! Looking forward to it!
Great timing. I got this watch on the 5 link 5 days ago it’s stunning in person and the red wears alot better than you might think from pictures. Feels alot darker and less flashy. Compliments the 5 link well and is an eye catcher forsure
I bought this back in August. I absolutely love it.
Finally a Black Bay that will look good on my 8" wrist. Thinner case and a T-Fit clasp are major selling points for me!!
I bought this just yesterday on the 5 link bracelet and can’t stop looking at it
Love the "Tudorilee" bracelet. I`m upping my watch game this year and Tudor is now my manufacturer of choice. Can you share which strap you got? I’m looking at a RubberB strap but unclear which one actually fit with the deployable buckle.
+1 on which Rubber B strap?

Great video, Teddy! I purchased this piece on the black rubber strap with the “T-Fit” clasp. Love how comfortable and easy it is to wear. Excited to see what the brand has in store for us!
Make this in a 39mm case and take my money! I have the Black Bay 58 in 39 and it is outstanding, worth every single penny.

I had to get a black bay chrono as soon as I saw one last year but the more I look at their various watches, the more I realise I want more than one!
Your perspective on models and the larger watch industry is usually very sharp and intuitive.
Just bought this model on the five link bracelet. It’s my first swiss watch. I’m very happy 😊
I own this watch and the one thing that always gets me when I put it on is just how amazing the bracelet is! Adjusting it is easy and always gives you a perfect fit, I would say it’s better then Rolex jubilee
Tudor is still my favorite brand. What great improvements here. I really hope they'll release this five links bracelet for the BB58 😊
I’m calling an AD today about that lol.
I bought this watch last Summer. It quickly became my favorite watch

I just bought this watch. Absolutely love it. I also own the BB Ceramic. Love the movement!
I have had my eye on this one. I’m not typically a dice watch fan, but that color is a delight.
I have the blue bezel and the new burgundy bezel. The slimmer case and new bracelet elevate the BB to a new level. The updated watch simply wears so much better.
Much better that the previous model. Sold the old one. Not selling this one❤.
I was about to buy a BB41 in blue but when I heard Tudor is going to expand the Metas range I decided to wait. For a few hundred dollars it's a no brainer.
I have the Black Bay Pro, incredible watch. My one watch collection.
I bought this watch last November and it feels so special with that burgundy. Worth it every $.
I think we will see a METAS + T-Fit BB58 this year
Im waiting for that! Would be lovely
But when could we expect the new clasp with micro adjustment
@@omarion07 Can't complain about the movement in my 2024 58 now.
Another Teddy outstanding review. Thanks so much Teddy for sharing your knowledge with us.
This wasn’t at the ad when I was in Hawaii, will check again in August
I bought this in May of 2023 being love at first sight ❤
I brought this watch yesterday, my first Tudor watch.
A master chronometer BB54 will be awesome. My current example is +2 consistently. Good enough for me.
I’m fond of Tudor ever since (last year) I bought the Black Bay 54, which gets by far more wrist time than my other watches put together. I may have to convert to a one-and-done collector at some point.
My favorite watch. I was happy that the BB58 got all the attention. I knew this was the one and now you do too.
Always enjoying the review of any brand and model. Would appreciate a more in-depth review of Ressence as a brand like you have with Nomos and others.
I bought it some months ago and am extremely happy with it.
I really hope that Tudor introduces a variant of this watch with the blue bezel and silver, rather than gold markings for this coming year.
Dont you mean this one? :D

Love the burgundy, looks great in person. But the dimensions were just too big for me. Went for the BB54 instead
My 1st luxury watch, it's just perfect. It's a truly GADA watch that can fit every type of settings, from casual gatherings to professional meetings.
What a beautiful watch. My favorite Tudor and one I'd love to own. I think it would look spectacular on my 7.75" wrist. Now I just need to find the cash to own one.
Got this watch and love it and has sentimental value as gifted for a milestone. Just love looking at it.
The matte case and bracelet finish works really well on this dial and bezel👌
I have the BB58 and these improvements are exactly what I wanted
Feels like this is the continuation of our conversation on IG. Really curious what they’ll release at W&W 2024 and hoping for full METAS across the line + that jubilee bracelet. Counting on a full overview + your insight when they’re released! 🎉
Just secured my order for this watch from Exquisite Timepieces! Can't wait to have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bracelet not matching up to the case is hard to unsee once you have seen it.
I own the previous model. It’s awesome. This one looks even better. Might have to upgrade.
The first time I saw this watch I changed my perspective on having red accents. That burgundy bezel is one of the most striking features of any watch.
I love it.
Lovely watch, but wish they would upgrade to a ceramic bezel ring, even a matt finish to keep that tool watch look.
Getting closer to the 1 million mark… go Teddy!
Love this watch, it’s a winner. It’s sporty, but also classy
Interesting upgrade and considered switching from my bb58. However, was too loud when worn, so look forward to a blue bezel version which is no doubt on the way.
Just got this . Love love love
Wish they would make more variations of the Ranger, sheesh
There was one in the display case on oyster bracelet at my local AD so I grabbed it 2 months ago. Just about perfect with the thinner case, Metas (mine is +2 seconds/day, and T fit which I use surprisingly often! Am on the “waitlist” for a no date Sub but nah, I’m good
Got mine on my wrist right now. The five link makes this in my opinion the quality of it is 2nd to none.
They need to make this in 37 or 39mm and it'll be an instant home run!
Black Bay 54 in Burgundy would be perfect!
Passed on this to buy a navy BB58 - this video has me kicking myself.
