Yeah one can use blender too! I just have a lot of experience with the other tools, so using what I feel confident in. Tools are only there to aid the process. The actual creation relies more on us than the tools.
What drawing tablet was that at the beginning? Is it portable? Probably not.... if you know... are there any portable ones? So I can animate away from my office?

Why u prefere a "non vector" software to animate?
I like the look of raster based images more than the digital look of vectors.
