Why did you bake the maps? Just to preview in eevee or am i missing something?
@@RexDE I baked the maps only for the vehicle, because that specific material uses Ambient Occlusion as a cavity map to spawn dirt within cavities! so any objects like the floor, buildings passing by, animated characters, might potentially cast their unwanted AO onto the bike, spawning a disco of dancing dirt🕺
@@tinynocky OK thanks, I didnt know other objects would also influence the ambient occlusion. But now I understand 😀
Great work man
@@user-ic3os6px3jIt had to be 5 seconds. Did you even watch the video?
Now I know why you need a team on animating a whole movie.
Edit: Anyway, I'm doing BASIC animation for a popular novel, you can check if you want.😁
Not sure if it's called animation 🤔
Pretty sad to know that, would love to learn Blender and create my own animations but that's too much hassle for such little return
@@wallacesousuke1433 being discouraged will only delay you further. You'd be surprised at how quickly ideas come together when you're working on them, especially when there are so many assets available for you to use already. Pick something you want to focus on and use assets to fill in non-focus areas. Obviously you can't use assets without permission for professional projects, but for personal projects and to get a grasp on animation, it's fine.
@@doug12244 sadly I'm kinda too old for that, and there would be little financial return from learning Blender since there isn't a large demand for 3D animators in my country, and internationally, I'd competing with thousands of people with more experience and talent lol main reason I would want to learn it was to create my own games but being a solo dev is hellish difficulty and again, I wish I was a decade or so younger, for now I'll teach myself graphic design
@@wallacesousuke1433 I saw a video of AI quickly modeling a 3D chair with complex textures so animation skills will only become easier to do with time. A scene that would've taken hours to model will be reduced to only a couple of minutes.
@@penonpaper3132 yo drop a video link for the enthusiasts lol
The video title is misleading. You didn't animate this. You did the whole damn scene from scratch and even documented the whole process! Love your understatement and the efforts you put in every single pipeline step.
so real
You almost got a dislike in the first half lol
Had me in the first quarter of the comment.
My daughter went to uni for gaming arts design (mainly for the art) and the things she was able to do was just amazing. She's now a graphics designer in a printing business, but watching this made me remember how talented some people, like you, truly are. Bravo!
SHE COULD HAVE BEEN START HER OWN BUSINESS... MAKE MORE MONEY
@@junevvaldez5959Why are you so mad over someone not making more money?
I was insanely suprised by the talent and dedication, The top 100 was just amazing
where can we see the rest?
18 days?! You’re so talented at animation! 😭
18 days for 6 seconds of footage isnt exactly efficient lmfao
@@sb-di3of You really don’t know the difficulty of animation do you?
@@sb-di3of how long should they take then?
@@poor_youtuber1390 18 days for an entire scene with animation and almost everything modeled from scatch is fast as fuck, believe me. This kid "s b" clearly doesn't know what he is talking about
@@sb-di3of lol
This breakdown indicates clearly the difference between average and great. It is those 100 little boring tweaks that make such an amazing difference. When I started I was arrogant enough to just say, "Hey, nobody will even see it so why do it?" My results were so fake it was painful. Well done to you. This is truly some very beautiful work indeed, and thanks for sharing too!
I think that goes to show with almost every creative project. Nowadays, what's makes you different from ai quality?
It probably helps to be OCD as well.
that maple story sound in the background is so relaxing
The process feels like a fever dream... who would know so much goes into such little time! Awesome run down!
Cool to see other people workflows. This is like 100x more professional than my workflow 😂
No Replys on a ytber with over 1M subs let me fix that

Wow its rango jalex love ur videos man

God i feel like i just learned 50 different new things. That was some goldmine of information. Really appreciate it. Fkn love the final render. I cannot believe that didn't make the top 100.
But as a Blender youtuber, what really really impressed me was the editing man. How long did that take Coz it feels like that must've taken more than 18 days to compile together, no 😂?
ow thank you that means a lot! oof yes the edit took longer than the actual project itself HAHA, a little over a month
@@tinynocky do u make money doing this stuffs?
Indeed Mustached Default Cube, Indeed!
@@youtubeuser206 I mean even if he didn't, it is an amazing lil project to add to his already insane portfolio if any lucrative future animating opportunities present itself
@@tinynocky Hi, where did you learn to edit so well??
That was really a worthy goal! The animation is beautiful!
This was really an awesome breakdown of all the different techniques involved with making a really engaging, but still relatively simple, scene and animation.
I can easily see a whole team taking on these different aspects separately, but you really integrated this whole process well for this project!
Bruh 😮💨 Working 18 days for 10 sec clip is hell.
Shut up
I don't know what to say, I've never felt more overwhelmed as an aspiring artist, this js just awesome and the fact that you did all of this alone ... damn it's so cool, cant believe it didn't make the Top 10!!
If youre reading this, and you know of anyone interested in Blender, Behind the scenes, or even movie making, send them this.
im a novice animator and just watching this is so inspiring.
amazing breakdown, amazing vid, everything.
i think this vid here is worth more than you winning tbh
Damn, this is impressive! Ive jist started learning blender and hope to get here someday.

Your work is awesome! Such a workload in only 18 days - your are definitely a speedy animator!
xD
And must have a minisized Supercomputer.
That 18 days for all the modeling, texture, rigging, scene, lighting... That actually lightning fast!
Excuse me?
you should make some sort of series like this- this is amazing. so talented, id love to watch it!
MapleStory Music made this video three times more enjoyable.
i thought i had maplestory open when watching this
Oh wow this is a great behind the scenes for everyone from like intermediate to super advanced blender users!! Extremely well edited! Probably the best blender video I've ever watched honestly
I like how this video has more views than the challenge it was created for.
this is insane!! your process is sooo interesting to watch and I love your style, keep it up!
that video is a freaking massive amount of work!!!! holly molly! Not only the animation and 3D skills are impressive, but the video editing is sooooo on point and well done! respect!
This was so cool to follow!! your sculpturing is great!! love the characters, super professional!
I'm currently in the process of learning blender. The amount of tutorials out there is honestly overwhelming, way more than what I experienced when I was still learning to edit videos. I know the donut tutorial is out there for beginners, but this video helped me out a lot on knowing what are the other things I can expect to make on blender. Thanks a lot for this!
the process planning is mindblowing to me :0 its so optimized with such great structure
Wow I'm amazed by the amount of hard work you put into editing. How you are able to show us the whole breakdown in a so interactive and good looking way without losing it's formative purpose. I really love your videos! Thank you for sharing all of this as you do! It's really valuable!
thank you so much this means a lot!!
After watching every minute of this video, I seriously wonder how you didn't make it up the ranks, there is ton of work here even in such small scene, I dont know much about the character modelling, but the color grading , I understand the details you put into this, but i am not sure if people or even the judges would have noticed such details, that was a lot of work, seriously crazy , hats off to you , keep making more.
While this is really great work and I wish I would have 1/10 of the talent shown here, i'll be honest the top 100 was truely amazing and anyone in the top 100 could be hired in the best studios.
such a beautiful clip showing the birth process of this great short video, so much fun and so much learnings from it!
Thank you! Making this is no easy task. This will help so many in creating 3d animations. I personally learned so much and will be rewatching to study and up my 3d game. Wonderful work! 😊
Not done with the video yet but I'm so impressed how you managed to do this in 18 days.. :0
18 days for 6 seconds of footage = 60 years for a 2 hour movie. do the math. this guy is slow as shit
This is good. The way you are telling the story of your concept is really nice. Something to learn from here. Going good. keep it up. :)
This breakdown highlights the distinction between average and great. The 100 small but significant adjustments make a remarkable difference. Initially, I underestimated their importance, but now I realize their impact on authenticity. Your work is truly beautiful, and thank you for sharing it. Well done!
Wow, your 3D animation is absolutely stunning! The amount of time and effort that you put into creating this 5-second masterpiece is truly impressive. I can see why it took you 18 days to perfect every detail. Your talent and dedication are truly remarkable, and I'm so glad to have subscribed to your channel. Your work is inspiring and always leaves me in awe. Keep up the amazing work, and I can't wait to see what you create next!
Thanks so much for doing this, your submission was super awesome and definitely deserved to be in the top 100!
Your art style is so cute!❤️You're so talented!!
My god, haven't heard Maple Story music in about 20 years. This hit back killing snails and slimes West of Henesys. Amazing job on the short animation by the way.
You definitely needed to be in the top 100 man! Regardless, you've made a beautiful piece of work and an amazing video documenting the process. I'll take notes from you on how to make my next project breakdown video.
This process is extremely incredible! You killed it!
This is one of the best workflow videos i saw and truly does a great job of demonstrating every step. Learned alot.
Amazing work, really inspiring! Thank you for sharing your BTS and thought process
The most valuable part of this video for me was the hair shader. I personally work with a lot of fluffy characters, but I don’t like to make my pc sound like a jet, so that principled hair in eevee trick is an absolute lifesaver for me.
The fact that you did all these things yourself for which Disney has more than 6 different dedicated departments for, shows that this is hard and under appreciated talent/work!
And tomorrow AI does it with one button
You've done an awesome job with this animation. Would love to see the entire movie :)!
I love the maplestory music in these videos, it’s my go-to study music. I’m learning blender right now and your art style is fantastic!
which song was it? i knew it was maple but the one near the start of the video, it's driving me crazy that i cant remember it
@@FreshApplePie Ereve: raindrop garden at the start, the subsequent songs are maple too like henesys hunting ground
Gosh the maple OST is so nostalgic 😢
Liquid gold, truly appreciate the effort you put in this video. Amazing job!
When are you making a whole course? Your artstyle is simple, cute, good looking and your workflow is so tidy and not hard to grasp... but what's really special is how you explain things, you're chill and easy to understand. Hope something is on the works, and if not then keep doing what you're doing since your work is amazing.
Dude, this is absolutely incredible! And it was filled with tons of great info! You have really mastered this stylized workflow. Super inspiring!
Wow, outstanding project and dedication to your craft. Thank you for making this look easy even though it would not be. Having dabbled in blender a few times I am inspired to try learning more techniques. Good luck in your endeavors moving forward. Subscribed 👏
This is f****** amazing! ❤ So creative, I have no words. You got me so inspired, I want to learn 3D now. Wish you all the best!

Amazing work! Thank you for sharing the process, it’s very helpful and inspiring!

Been looking forward to this video for a while, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I’ve learned so much from your videos 🤩
The quality of your work is remarkable, considering the amount of work required in a mere eighteen days. You are certainly an agile animator!
I was confused how this did not make it into the top 100 until I actually saw the top 100 and realized this guy did alot in 18 days and great for him but the other competitors did unbelievable work. Wish I had the quarter of talent and skill as these guys

This is incredible! Animating is extremely difficult, and this has encouraged me to animate myself! :D
Extremely helpful video, and honestly I think your piece deserved a place in the top 100.
Amazing work in such a short time... No doubt you have a lot of knowledge/experience with the tools and talent as well. Congratulations!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing your process! ❤
Great for a animator to achieve this in 18 days. Congratulations 😊
I learnt so much with this breakdown. Thanks for sharing, your skills are amazing and the way you share and go through your process is invaluable. We tend to focus so much on the end result but the process and thinking behind it is even better. Cheers!
Great video! Seeing your entire process makes me feel what I want to create is actually doable.

I love how they showed how they made it while explaining to us on how we can do it as well!
This is truly inspiring me the moment I saw your video because I also have to work on my 3D animation project at school in only 2 months (not an expert in Blender to be honest, just more than a beginner TvT). Thanks for this wonderful process and I learnt a lot!

giving up is sometimes a good thing. It just depends on if you're enjoying yourself or not.
Amazing! Dense but absorbable info, perfect pace! I can't thank you enough :D
This is awesome. I've been getting a bit interested in animation more and more, thinking "hmm, wouldn't it be cool to make an animated series?" Now that I know it takes 18 days to make such a short clip, I believe I now understand that I will not be making an animated series of any kind lol
Although I had thought that if I would do it, I'd see what sorts of details I can work around, almost certainly commission characters instead of make them myself, but yeah... idk why not look into it at the very least.
Gosh! This is amazing. Love seeing the process of how all this goes, as someone LITERALLY just gettin' into Blender. Hope to make some great things in the future, fr.
I watched this video for absolute fun, didn't get a lot but damn those 5 secs video in 18 days, hats off to you animators. Love this.
Awesome!
Simple and cute design, impressive detailings!
I've been wanting to learn 3d rendering for some time..
I think the only reason you might've not made it to the top 100 was the environment. It didn't feel polished compared to the great character designs and animation. Really enjoyed watching your process, currently procrastination on learning blender haha.
