the beam rear axle worked for the GTI for many years before it went IRS; you loose some adjustment, but it is quieter and more simple to work on. Well, I'm pretty much screwed; my Mrs. will not (want to) drive anything lower than her '16 CX-5. She was in a R50 Pathfinder prior, and even the CX-5 is a "step" down from that. The chances of my wife having any car lowered is next to nill....no, it is nill. She won't even do an axle-back muffler. Kudos to you for having an understanding and enthusiast spouse. If we were a two Mazda house, the new 3 hatch FWD 6 spd would be my car of choice (2nd only to the miata)...I really want a '6 Wagon, but we know how that story ends....cheers.
I like how you said you were go through it with us and then completely doesn’t as the next cut is everything already taken apart with the new spring installed XD
Great vid which helped a ton when I was doing my Eibach springs, but man, either you had a much easier time putting things back together, or you left out a lot of fun parts. I had a heck of a time getting the knuckles back into control arm. Probably would have been easier if I had someone else to help. I thought the back springs were going to be cake. They came out easy enough, but getting the Eibachs back in took a lot of strength. I'm thinking the Corksports were probably a little easier since they're physically shorter than the Eibachs. The Eibachs were actually a little bit longer than the stock rear springs. Thanks again for the vid!
Looks awesome good job, just one thing i would of done differently is replace the sway bar end links with heavy duty adjustable items. Apparently the stock end links end up under a lot more stress from the different ride height and therefore forces them to sit on the wrong angle. I have done the same to my (2018) Mazda 3 2.5l White Line and Superpro make these and I'm sure some other brands do to.
Liked the video, I’m actually waiting for my CS lowering springs and the Mazda Aero kit coming in from Japan because I wanted the spoiler to be colour matched with my car. I received the upper front strut bar from Corksport.
Are they fine on the stock shocks? I was getting mixed tips on whether or not new springs and the stock stuff was good or not. Was gunna do it on my own Mazda 3
Do you have the turbo? I’m going to install these on my turbo and I’m sure I’ll notice a diff in that the turbo has a more stiff rear differential and they’ve added a torsion beam (not independent rear suspension like prev 3s)
@@ryanc2927 I do not personally, however they are advertised for the turbo as well on the website. I'm sure between the two cars, these springs will work fine for both.
Got these springs coming in tomorrow - installing on Sunday with a friend’s help. Bout how long did this take you, and out much would it have helped having an assistant?
I just bought the 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo. Not much online about it but they look practically the same. Would be nice if I could throw some questions your way.
I just bought one as well. The ride is already well modified over the reg 3 but It has a rear torsion beam installed (which prev 3s don’t have) and these springs supposedly help handling despite that. Let me know if you wind up installing them or the corksport big brakes or strut tower bar as these will be the only mods I plan to purchase.
No. There are important wires that were unhooked during install and then put back safe. Also while disconnected if the car was turned on this could trigger lights
If it’s a turbo Mazda got rid of the sway bar and added a torsion beam. I have the turbo and if I lower it like this guy the springs will help that fact. But yea I’m not sure if the end links should be replaced on a reg hatchback - another poster suggested that would’ve been a good idea in a more recent post I see. I’d like to know that answer as well
You should have replace the struts and shocks as well, because I am very sure in a short period of time let say like 20000 miles later that you probably will feel the struts and shocks it's not doing there job. Done that on my last 2 gens of both brand new mazda3 and the stocker only lasted around 20k with aftermarket springs.
Speed bumps will clear just fine as long as you slow down. Dips, will bottom you out, railways are your worst nightmare, avoid potholes obviously but yea. awd variant gets dumped so just a heads up
@@aneesh797 due to the awd variant being heavier it'll lower significantly more than the fwd variant, an additional .2 to .6 inches. It turned out to be too low for daily driving so I went back to stock.
Any problems regarding suspension since you drop the car? I've read that some people are experiencing link kit or broken shock after couple months. Thanks

Those front knuckles were hard. I think rage helped me get them back in the correct spot!
Your Mazda video helps me a lot! Thanks!
Where'd you get the sun shades? They look great!

I brought this up 2 months earlier than your post... as you can tell, 7 months at least has past for your inquiry and he hasn't answered...
I’m still wondering if need to do this on my 2023 sedan
Liked the video, I’m actually waiting for my CS lowering springs and the Mazda Aero kit coming in from Japan because I wanted the spoiler to be colour matched with my car. I received the upper front strut bar from Corksport.
Looks great and its a fantastic car, my ones coming soon and im so excited😁😁
looks sooooo good! great work. love this car
looking to do this myself. I was wondering if you had any issues with the oem shocks blowing out and if so what was your choice for replacement
Can you do a video on front bumper removal if you ever do?
THIS IS WHOLESOME
Are they fine on the stock shocks? I was getting mixed tips on whether or not new springs and the stock stuff was good or not. Was gunna do it on my own Mazda 3
the stock is pretty good and handles well.. just personal preference i believe
I put these on my 3. Makes a big difference!
How’s the ride... I got really bumpy road where I live?
@@mathieuchampagne3410 its surprisingly very good. A tad stiffer but I live on rough roads and these are great. 5 stars for me

Looks awesome 👍
You should put some wheel spacers in the back
Do you have any problem with the car dragging over speed bumps?
Any more performance Mods set for the New Mazda3?
Exhaust soonenough
The car rides ruff with the stock shocks, how does it feel compared to ? I'm looking up grade mines.
Got these springs coming in tomorrow - installing on Sunday with a friend’s help. Bout how long did this take you, and out much would it have helped having an assistant?
assistance on fronts would have been nice. Backs are easy. About 3 hours tops
Jason In2details awesome thanks! Looking forward to getting it lowered

How was driving in the snow???
How much harsher is the ride after swapping the springs? As it is, its already on the slightly hard side.
Not bad but you can tell the cracks in the road. Mostly they are just little shorter and little tighter
@@jasonin2details looks sick tho. I have the sedan and a 2 year old baby. Maybe in the future, I will look to do sth like this. Looks so goooood.
How much were the CorkSport Lowering Spring in total??? If you don’t mind
Are they bouncy? How's the ride quality compared to stock?
Do these springs make the ride bouncy? I don’t want to feel like im bouncing around while driving
Nope not at all. You will feel more bumps but not that bad
Does your ABS and other lights turn on, on the dashboard? My 3 is lighting up like a christmas tree.
No. There are important wires that were unhooked during install and then put back safe. Also while disconnected if the car was turned on this could trigger lights
Was an alignment needed?
It does look good
How does the ride feel nowadays? Did you trim bump stops?
hey Jason are you still running these? How do you like them? has the ride height interfered with the driver safety systems? Thanks!
don't you need to replace the stock sway bar end links since the vehicle is now lowered ?
no, thats not the way the geometry of lowering the car works.
If it’s a turbo Mazda got rid of the sway bar and added a torsion beam. I have the turbo and if I lower it like this guy the springs will help that fact. Perhaps. Time will tell. Then if we still have it we can run coilovers
Wow, Excellent
Did you use any wheel spacers for fitment?
Nope
Is your driver rear side lower than the passenger rear?
Your tyre size?
Last time I did lower springs it made noise when turning like a whining does yours do that or is it no sound coming from it at all
Like a creak sound?
Would it be possible to lift the Mazda3 to make it higher? Thanks!
Could you tell me what the torque specs are for all the nuts and bolts?
way to many for that. my impact gun is set for no more than 100 and i used it on most
does this wing fit a 2015 mazda 3??
no. however that year has many options
Do you need new end links???
nope, reused
Did this void the warranty?
yes! the suspension warranty, nothing else.
Jason In2details awesome thank you! Great content!
The roads I drive wont allow me to ride that low. Im jealous.
Hi bro. 40 mm?
How much lower is it now?
has there been any clearance issues with speed bumps and such, I've been wanting this same set up on my mazda 3
Speed bumps will clear just fine as long as you slow down. Dips, will bottom you out, railways are your worst nightmare, avoid potholes obviously but yea. awd variant gets dumped so just a heads up

Check out the Channel we did a video on Plastidip on the chrome

Do have to do any camber adjustments?
We did not. After install car still drove perfect. We are getting both cars to shop soon for alignment check.
@@jasonin2details How is the tire wear after 8 months?
6:14 This whole....what? 🤔
Bro, I feel so bad for you guys knowing that the 2.5T model is coming so soon.

Will there be any noise after you installed the short spring?
Nope great ride still but can feel the big bumps
Has your 3 made any creak sounds when going slow on bumps or uneven roads ?
YEs sometimes on some crazy unlevel spots. But all my cars I have ever owned did that
