- AMP Research's PowerStep Running Boards are a great addition to your 2019-2022 RAM 1500. Designed to extend and lower 13.5 inches, these PowerStep Running Boards will provide you with a convenient step for easy entry into and out of your lifted RAM. The Running Boards then retract when not in use. This allows for more ground clearance and better aerodynamics than traditional running boards. As an added bonus, these Running Boards feature integrated LEDs for better visibility at night.

Proudly designed and made in the USA, these PowerStep Running Boards feature OE quality motors with high strength, die-cast aluminum-alloy linkage arms, which are completed in a military spec finish to ensure superior corrosion resistance. The Steps are crafted from extruded aluminum and are completed in a tough, black textured powder-coat finish for an extra secure footing and long lasting durability. Complete with weather tight connectors, these Running Boards can take on any weather or climate.

PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALL!
First off they don’t give torque specs at all when you are screwing down the motor to the hanger make sure you hand torque the 3 bolts or you will crack the housing.
TWO make sure the hangers are all the way EXTENDED before putting the motor on the hanger! Or else it will be locked one position and it will be hard as hell to get the boards on.
THREE! take the fuse out of the connection for the battery before you start and when you are all finished up wiring then put the fuse in. You could possibly blow the fuse.
It just keeps getting better and better.
I’ve been wanting these style steps for a while now but after seeing the install, I wish there was a way to install without having to leave it plugged into he obd slot :/ oh well

I disconnected the obd to pass inspection to my truck and they stopped working, what can I see happened
Maybe I missed it but is there a kill switch in case you get hung up on a rock or something? Or will the boards not deploy if there’s something in the way? Thank you!
Ahh yes, not included with the kit. Just an extra 150 on top of the 1600 it alreadt costs. Lol
Like said - you get what you pay for. The non-corrosion protected connectors will be one of the first quit its job. Nothing to be used in humid, winter or dirty environments.

Let me get this right. $2k for this kit and you get an OBD plug and wire that sticks out? Not to mention stick on lights that are for sure going to fall off 😂... Nah I'm good
