Review: hatchback is sportier looking, especially the front. The sedan has a practical size trunk lol I own a 23 turbo hatch and had a 17 3 grand touring manual. The automatic can't compete with something like the 2 series bmw automatic for spirited driving but it's more powerful off the line but the slow gear shifts and the flat powerband and falloff in the upper usable rpm for spirited driving makes it a lil of a disappointment for what I was expecting from the paper spec sheets
@@charlesa1234 I get where you’re going but it’s not always because something is more popular. I mean maybe, but I’ll give you an example. I have an Acura TLX. Acura pushed their higher end variant of the car hard, six cylinder, sport tuned suspension. And it costs more. I couldn’t even find a review of a 4 cylinder without the fancy suspension. I ended up buying it anyway. They told me I got one of the last ones, and the ones Acura was pushing on social media were still filling up the dealer lots. The Mazda 3 sedan is 8 inches longer than the hatch and a different body style, yet they are priced the same. So, the hatch is cheaper to make, and sure, Mazda is counting on higher demand. But I’ll bet you the sedans sell out first. Which is why they don’t need aggressive promotion, they’ll sell out anyway. That’s a classy looking car. Nothing classy looking about what’s essentially a compact station wagon, no matter how many times some reviewer says how awesome that is. Just my 2 cents.
40k out the door for the Mazda 3 sedan is too expensive, the Mazda 6 is superior in every way. Too bad they discontinued the best car Mazda makes in the U.S.
I like firm Im leaving the Altima SR Maxima SR camp for a used 6 turbo or MX30 turbo possibly. Even turboed the 3 like the wrx impreza all share affordable compact sentra corolla Lancer style roots. So as nice as a 3 is buying any compact car would feel like a step back in life I need to shop mid size sport sedan or compact suv if that makes any sense.
I own a gen4 PP turbo AWD hatch and let me tell you, you are dead wrong about the brakes 😂 On a initial drive maybe but on long term they are tragic. Also I hate the torsion beam in the rear. My 2018 had a better rear suspension. The power really does help you ignore some of it tho
So good to see the sedan review. Most reviews on RUclips are of the hatchback
It means the hatchback is more popular than its sedan counterpart?

as an owner of a 1st gen Mazda sedan, they sure have come a long way since my car..Looks like a fun ride!
This is on my short list I have never considered the sadan until now, great review 👍
Great review!
The saloon looks superb!
Yes, a wireless charger is an option for this car. As a reviewer, that's something you should know or look into before commenting.
❤ Finally the review that I needed to watch ❤

Can confirm lol
People don't buy full-size sedans anymore. They go straight to crossover SUV's
Buy a used one under 20k Miles on it prices are listed at 24 to 25k practically new 30 to 31k otd price tops very worth it
Is the ingress and egress any different between the sedan and hatchback?
4:14 that rear bumper mismatch god damn Mazda 😂
Can you switch fuels from regular to octane without damaging the engine?

Interesting quick about the Mazda 3: Only available in 5 paint colors, 4 of them are several hundred dollar options.
"You have fun stuff like direct injection"
I hope this was sarcasm.

Hatch all the way as it's sportier as the sedan has a nice but humdrum look.
