As a former Vegas cab driver, I can confirm this review. Another gem near the strip includes great affordable breakfast at "Ellis Island" just south of The Platinum hotel on Local Ave. You won't be sorry. And remember when leaving McCarran Airport in a cab: "No Tunnel!"
Derek is such a lucky guy to have Catherine to venture with him. You guys are a great couple.
I think that as far as restaurant reviews in Las Vegas are concerned, you two have the best, most expressive reviews I have ever seen. I haven't been to Circus Circus in over 20 years and everything I hear about it is not classy or of high class. But after watching your video this Restaurant looks, 1st class. Happy Anniversary!!! we have come a long way from just seeing Catherine's hands in the background to her being an intricate part of the channel.
I ate there the last time I stayed in Las Vegas. Truly a hidden and unexpected diamond in the rough. The price might be deceptive since you’re getting the soup or salad and a choice of potato included in the price while many other steakhouses on the Strip are priced for the steak only and the sides are all extra.
It’s ridiculous to charge extra for a dam potato after paying $80+ for a piece of steak
Happy Anniversary, Derek and Catherine! The Circus Circus Steakhouse brings back so many memories...We used to go to the one in Reno. The ambience/decor of the Steakhouse in Vegas mirrors the one in Reno. We always ordered ribeye steaks, lobster tails, and garlic mashed potatoes. We would end the meal with their 3 tiered chocolate cake...YUM!! It have been 18 years since we've been there (we used to go twice a month). The prices have gone up so much; but the quality of the food remains the same! It was nice going down memory lane...thanks for the great video!

I was there back in October. All I can say is OUTSTANDING! I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. It was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten! 🥩🍸
We used to stay at Circus Circus from the 70s-early 90s and a few years in the early 00s. We never dined at The Steakhouse because they used to require jackets and my dad was never a jacket kind of guy. I’m sure these places would provide one from you, but nah.
OMG I forgot about the circus acts. Glad to see the mezzanine (I think that’s what they called the upstairs) open again. I practically grew up hanging out there and seeing those acts brought back a lot of good memories.
I know in previous videos you guys mentioned you were cutting back on carbs etc. I can totally see it in Katherine's face! She looks fantastic ❤
I am so glad you went to the steakhouse I've been wanting to see a review on this steakhouse at circus circus for a long time. I usually stay at the Sahara when I'm in Vegas so it's very close, I think I will try it on my next trip. Great job 👌 and the food looked great just up my alley. Being an older guy at reminded me very much of the steak houses I would frequent in the 70s and 80s at least the decor did.
Drooling the whole time watching this ! Derek, You had my all-time favorites , crab cake , French Onion soup, steak and mashed potatoes done just the way I like !
Will have to eat there the next time I come to Vegas.

Man it's so rare I watch a video about great dinning and food and actually leave satisfied. Everything about this looked up scale, looked worth the price and made me crave so many different foods. GREAT food vlog guys.
derek brother..the sheer difference in buffet videos and intimate sit down meals is quite different in ways but the tremendous quality you and catherine exude makes these videos very palatable..i also enjoyed the ambience ....thanks again
Even with the substantial price increase, the "inclusive dinner" is still a great value, compared to the "a la carte menus," throughout The Strip.
Yeah , I moved from Vegas 3 years ago now...and we had gone to this place a handful of times over the 12 years I lived there...and the prices have definitely gone up! lol , but would still go back there

Wifey and I enjoyed our dinner there 2 weeks ago, too. Great service, great food, and when compared to other restaurants such as the Capital Grill or Ruth Chris Steakhouses, prices are on par or even less. Happy Anniversary, you two!

Happy Anniversary! Have been to almost all the steak places in Vegas over the years... this is the only place we go these days for steaks when we are there... then we all head up to the Midway, like you two did. Seven 50+ yr old guys upstairs having fun.

I’ve been to the steakhouse probably about 20 times over the years and it never ever disappoints. Probably is the one thing I always do the same when I’m in Vegas. Found out about it from a taxi cab driver years ago on my first trip to Vegas. I simply asked what was the best steakhouse and his response was, even though it’s in a dump The steakhouse is the best you will ever find. From the classic atmosphere to the hickory wood, to the basket of breads everything is just perfection.

I never knew that the Circus Circus had a steakhouse and I have been there several times. The steaks that you both ordered along with the sides looked so incredibly delicious. Though they are a bit pricy I would have no problem enjoying the amazing food there. And I love Keylime pie. Thanks Derek and Catherine you are definitely the best Vegas food critics on RUclips!

7:52 Alway fill the baked potato before diving into the steak, as there's nothing worse than butter or cream not being able to melt effectively in a room-temperature spud. Catherine is lovely and all.

I went as a kid in the 60's. Glad to see they still has the circus acts and kids sections.
That looked fantastic and really surprised me. The last time I was in Circus Circus a few months ago, I couldn't help thinking that it won't be there much longer.
We have been going to the Steakhouse since 1996, when we moved to Las Vegas. We have never had a bad experience. We were just there last week for my birthday and it was amazing as usual. We were surprised to see how much the prices had gone since before the pandemic, but it was still worth it!!
You have to put the butter on your baked potato as soon as the plate comes to the table.

Funnny thing, we got in on $2.99 breakfasts, back in the day. The Sands used to have some good Chinese food too. It is a bargain, Derick. Lol Anyway we saw Jimmy Durante back then too.

I am normally down on these expensive places, but unlike the others you went to... the vibe there seemed legit... the steaks were very big, and the sides came with it.... certainly a special occasion place, but looked worth it.

I went solo years ago because original CSI gave them a very good mention in an episode, I was not disappointed at all. After dinner I did take a cab back to my hotel further down the strip. I think I definitely need to bring my wife to experience Old School Vegas Steakhouse. Always enjoy watching your videos.
I loved that ya'll chose different steaks, potatoes, and sides. I am a bone in rib eye guy all day, and cooked medium. Always a baked potato and salad. Never tried french onion soup, but it did look delicious. When Catherine put that sour cream and chives on her potato I was like No No No, that's like adding cilantro lol. The desserts ya'll chose were spot on too. For Vegas I thought the price was really good considering how great those steaks looked and the sides. Hope ya'll have a Super Duper Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This place is a gem. It is a part of nostalgic Vegas preserved. I think their prices jumped in only the past 2 or 3 years. I could have sworn the ribeyes and strips were like 58.00 when I was last there. The combination of The Steakhouse and Catherine's Thats Incredible reference gave me the ol school vibe I crave.
You two did an awesome job of this video! You show every bit of food that came with the meal and the menu prices, along with your totally honest opinion on it all - what a great video! The prices looked high. Then you realize all other high end steakhouses on the strip sell everything separately. $50 steak, $15 side, $15-20 soup. So comes out pretty reasonable.

When we went to Vegas this was the only Steak house we went to. Ambiance of old world charm. You don’t pay extra for salad soup or potato like other places. Loved their house salad . Has chanced since we were there. It was a grand salad for a house salad. Unlike now when they put it all in one, they would put black, Gerri olives , slice of beat, slice of hated boiled egg, slice of tomatoes and onion around the plate plate and you could incorporate what you wanted. you wanted in it. Absolutely loved the Roquefort dressing and yes the steaks were outstanding! Can’t beat this place!
Found one in the old Vegas strip - Fremont Street - Andiamo, not only the steaks taste incredible, their pasta dishes are amazing. When I go back to Vega, I will definitely try Circus Circus, so weird that I was there 3 weeks ago and didn't even know they had a steakhouse.

It's amazing that such a great steakhouse is in one of the most rundown casinos in Vegas. My lady & I had dinner there last time we visited about 2 1/2 years ago (thank you COVID) & were blown away by the ambience, service, & the amazing food. Been to the Steakhouse several times, it should be noted that the beef is dry aged and on display at the entrance, it is also grilled over mesquite wood. Reservations are a must.
In this day and age when other steak restaurants charge $10 for a potato, $10 or more for a salad, $12 for a vegetable, these prices are not out of line. Some restaurants are even charging for a bread basket.

First place we are coming as soon as we land on March 17th we were there last year enjoyed it so much it is now one of our favorite places to eat in Las Vegas.
I have eaten here a number of times. Great food and service. Request a table overlooking the fire pit where they are cooking the steaks. A beautiful room. I love going there!

I lived in Vegas when I was little in the 80's and Circus Circus was my favorite place to go! I remember always passing by that steakhouse and it looked dimly lit. I always wanted to go there!
