Food looked good. But you should include prices so we can assess value. You can find good food everywhere, but the gems offer High satisfaction at a reasonable cost.
They're all pretty expensive based on what you get but the quality is there. Poke Express is the best value because you're buying it by the pound and can sample whatever you want before you buy it.
yea they are a bit too expensive to me as a non-US resident, the set meals from TON-TON literally cost more than twice than what you can get in Japan, and you don't have to tip anything in Japan, and it's really hard to have tastier food than Japan
Native Hawaiians also go to Vegas for the service and construction jobs. They settled in, brought in other family members and now have a large community in Las Vegas.
Pinkbox donuts Wicked donuts 85 degree Bakery LV Scoops (halo halo & ice cream macaron) El gordos( El pastor con Pina And cabeza ) Zabas (like Chipotle but better) Egg works Windycity Sweet Poke (on Ann) Sushi Bomb (ask for Kenan) Shanghai Taste Weera Thai Kim Long Pho District One Kubuto Omekase Monta Ramen Goong (get sets DO NOT GET AYCE)
Viva Las Arepas actually started across the street in a little food cart in front of Dino's Bar. They were an immediate success. I am a true born native of Las Vegas and very proud of my home town. We have a beautiful melting pot here and access to any type of cuisine you desire. Plus, we don't have leave on a trip/vacation to experience it. Viva Las Vegas!
I have been a loyal follower of your travel channel for as long as I can remember, eagerly waiting for each new episode to transport me to breathtaking places I could only dream of visiting. But when you made the bold decision to launch your food channel, everything changed. What started as casual viewing quickly transformed into something far more profound. It didn’t just inspire me-it completely altered the way I see the world. Your deep passion for food, the culture behind each dish, and the stories you share from kitchens around the globe have opened my eyes to the beauty of something I used to take for granted. Every episode stirs something in me, igniting a curiosity I didn’t know existed. It has made me see food not just as nourishment, but as an art form, a connection to the soul of a place, a story waiting to be told. The way you uncover hidden culinary treasures, showcasing local chefs and unique flavors, has become more than entertainment for me-it’s become a part of my daily life. I’ve begun experimenting in my own kitchen, trying recipes I’d never dared before, tasting ingredients I’d once overlooked. And through this journey, I’ve found a passion for cooking and food that I never knew I had. What you’ve created is more than just a food channel-it’s a source of inspiration that has fundamentally changed how I live, how I cook, and even how I connect with others. You’ve helped me see the world through a new lens, one filled with flavor, culture, and adventure, and for that, I can’t thank you enough.
Those arepas looked delectable and I loved how you were able to connect with some Venezuelan vacationers and make them feel comfortable!! Great video Gareth 🤍
Another fantastic food adventure! I need to try an arepa ASAP. The ones you guys had look incredible. Also, I love how polite you are when you don't like the food 😂 Haha, it cracks me up. I'd never thought of Las Vegas as a food city before this but it looks like I need to rethink that! 🤪
Gareth, your honesty about the mochi donuts is definitely appreciated! I don’t care for mochi donuts or boba tea, myself. I do, however LOVE Korean style donuts. If you’re ever back in Southern California, please visit ‘The Source’ in Buena Park. It’s a 3-story outdoor mall. Ferry Donuts on the first floor has super delicious donuts! The crème brûlée donut is amazing! Then….visit the 3rd floor food court. There, you can find milk cream donuts, strawberry cream donuts, and banana cream donuts, along with several other types of donuts. ALL are super delicious! I’ll be heading to LV in August. Thanks for sharing the Poke and the Katsu place.
Ha 12:40 the katsu place a coworker showed me Tozen Naritaten by NRT airport (now permanently closed) does the same sesame seed & sauce, unlimited cabbage. Now I have to check this place out because my local katsu place is doesn’t even match the same quality.
gareth you are a wonderful host.. i like that you are so friendly & upbeat. the way you describe everything that you eat makes it crystal clear that you are a true-blue food lover. i love your descriptions and feel like i'm eating right alongside you!! keep it up and can't wait for more of your videos
I can personally vouch for poke express as a part Hawaiian living in las vegas lmao. They have the most fresh poke in town and it's not even close. They also have this salted slighty dried beef called Pipikaula. If you have never had it, go to a poke spot and get it. I promise it will change your life it is sooooo good.
I’m from Vegas and completely agree on Viva Las Arepas! Add McMullans Irish Pub and Irish nachos for gem #6 but thanks for the new spot suggestions! 🍩 ❤
im watching this videowhile eating lechon kawali with mang tomas and steamed rice....watching the arepas and damn i want some of that....willdefinitely try that 😊😊😊
Going to Vegas next week, and my husband is a huge veggie fan LOL, so excited to check out the katsu place so i can enjoy the katsu and he can enjoy the unlimited cabbage 😂😂
That place you got the mochi donuts use to be a sushi bar called sushi on rainbow it was where I was first introduced to sushi. Kinda makes me sad seeing the inside not as I remember. Luckily vegas has tons of other good sushi spots sakana sushi is an amazing spot
Try Hashi Noodle in Chinatown if you want an awesome healthy flavor bomb! They make their own noodles and chicken broth and as you order, make sure you add the black garlic oil! So delicious and very affordable hole in the wall. Plus you can sit at the counter and watch them put your food together. You'll never wait more than 2 minutes to get your fresh food too😊
I know a handful of top tier restaurants to try if you’re interested in exploring more in Vegas! Mostly local spots on the west end, but a couple nice restaurants on the strip too.
appreciate the honesty about the donuts in the video. I think i would like these donuts, but like you, i'm a sucker for the more traditional-style donuts. I've been to Pinkbox donuts in Vegas, and i'm certain i would like their options better than the ones in this video. Also, another Pro Vegas tip. There's a donut shop, a bit northwest of the strip on Decatur, but not that far, called Dulce Donuts. They're among the best traditional-style donuts i've ever had. No fancy flavors or anything like that, but just among the best regular glaze, chocolate, apple fritter, coconut, sour cream, etc. donuts. When you walk in, and look at their offerings, the donuts even look like just average donuts from grocery store, but they taste amazing. Only negative would be that i'm not certain i would go for donuts here too late in the evening or after-hours as the neighborhood seems like it could get sketchy. I think they are open 24-hours
Try Ronald's Donuts in Spring Valley. Old fashioned donuts, vegan donuts, special large donuts, every kind of donut you can want and some you never knew you did. They also have breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and a lovely old school dining area. Good prices. It's my favorite place.
Also add Big Dans. They have the best noodles in town. It's inside a supermarket but it's much better imo than places like Shang artisan noodle or magic noodle
Awesome video. I gotta try the Arepas next time. I’ve been to that tonkatsu place - it’s good but not great when compared w Tamafuji Tonkatsu in Honolulu. You missed Tacos El Gordo - several locations and they serve more than tacos and your choice of meat(no pollo).
Yes, I highly recommend the arepa joint, honestly so good! For this episode, I didn't want to feature any taco spots - and Tacos El Gordo is definitely not a hidden gem 😂 but it is a gem!
In this video..I can definitely see how much Vegas constantly takes from Miami🏝 my hometown?😳😳😳 Turnberry Place Condos, are taken from the Turnberry Isle Highrise Condos in Sunny Isles, and on & on & on! And now their latest, The Fontainbleau!🙂

I spent over $1000 on dinner for 2 at SW steak, and that $9 arepa at vivas almost made me cry. The pabelion was fantastic.
