Just went over the weekend with my wife. For both of us with gratuity the total was $402. I had the jumbo lobster tail , veggies , house salad and a beer. My wife had an iced tea, wedge salad, filet and king crab legs, and a baked potato. Absolutely delicious and happy we went. I can't say, I will visit Golden Steer every time I go to Vegas because that would just be glutinous, but I will return for sure.
@@Honey-Sanchez 402 included the gratuity so around 340. I just went to a couple of places and prices were consistent, but Golden Steer was ahead by far. That being said, I wouldn't agree with ripped off.
I’ve been to the Golden Steer and I tell you the Cesar Salad is so good, fresh and crispy. The French onion soup is mouth watering good. The seafood and sides were excellent. Just know if you get the steak 🥩 you want and lobster 🦞 or crab 🦀 combo, it’s about $200 per person but you will leave happy if you’ve prepared for the cost ahead of time.
Ordering from my fav local deli on ubereats is around $200 for the family now a days... So for a fancy steakhouse that isn't outlandish- not these days with the Bidenflation...
They have a baked potato that they wheel on a cart with the toppings. Its the size of a Boulder. 12 bucks. Worth it for the show of it. Can feed a few people.

My grandparent's were cattle ranchers. Sunday was steak night. We would all have either T-bone or Porterhouse. Yum. My mom and I loved the crispy fat parts, and I would drink my plate juices. I was a slow eater at 8 years old, and I would be the last person to leave the table, gnawing on the bone. Good memories ❤😊 Not corn fed beef just grass fed, therefore, no antibiotics needed.
Went here with my gf last year after seeing some very impressive reels on Instagram featuring their prime rib and lobster. But sadly we were very disappointed. The prime rib was cooked decently but didn't have much flavour even though we tried drowning it in au jus. The lobser tail was over 80 bucks and was very dry and chewy. Might be because we went pretty late at night, but for a steakhouse in Vegas, we expected a bit more. The cherries jubilee was the best thing we had that night.
Great video, UA. I think they have table size Service for the Caesar salad. You were wondering what was in the Caesar dressing that made it taste so good. You may or may not have had anchovies in your Caesar salad before. The anchovies make, or break a Caesar salad dressing. If the anchovies aren’t in the Caesar dressing, then something is missing, you will notice that taste that something is off, but you can’t place what it is.
Glad you found the best steakhouse in Vegas, ainec. I get the 24oz thicc NY Steak every time. A little less marbled than the ribeye, but more of the rich beefy flavor. Fantastic.
On grass fed vs corn fed: corn fed doesn't need to be aged as long as grass fed does in order for it to taste good. Aging grass fed beef is crucial for the taste, if its not aged long enough it is tough and gamey. When grass fed is aged properly (aged longer) it becomes rich, deeper in flavor, and delicious.

Because it was recommended by the waiter, and we were under the assumption that the garlic butter will be a side that you put on the steak yourself, not something thats on the whole thing.
Golden Steer was also an infamous mobster hangout. When you go in, with all of that red velvet, raised leather booths, servers in suits, etc. it does take you back in time, and you can totally picture the scene back in the day. The food was outstanding when my wife and I ate there about 30 years ago (a NY was about $25 or so as I recall).
Great video and keep up the great work as a resident of Vegas for over 12 years now and I have never eaten at this establishment!!! :)- Kudos to you for your video and to the channel!!! :)-
UA the even sear you're referring to doesn't usually come from a cast iron or flattop, because the meat often raises up while cooking so you don't get 100% contact with the cooking surface. High end steak houses often use expensive broilers called salamanders that can get up to 1500 degrees that gives it an even sear and the trademark broiled flavor.
Thx UA for another terrific video of a real classic steak house in the US! I always enjoy your videos, but I think the steak house reviews are always my favorite! Thx again UA & keep making these great videos!

Sweet, I used to love going to the Golden Steer when I used to go to Vegas. Their prime rib was usually top tier stuff and I LOVED their lamb chops. However, I will say this much, the prices were much, much cheaper when I used to go in the mid 90s or so lol oh and my friend who used to go with me absolutely destroyed their French onion soup lol
I had been flying out to Vegas several times a year since 2003 up until last year and I never went to this place. My old school dining spot in Vegas was Battista's, but I might have to take another trip and be sure to try this joint.

Nice review UA. I'm really surprised that you don't like prime rib, seeing how much you like rib eye. That's usually my go to. I guess it must be the sear. You seem to be big on that. I'm always hollering at my tv, "try the prime rib, UA, try the prime rib!". I would have gone for the french onion soup also.
I have I ate there a year ago in the Caesar salad is beyond amazing it's literally the best one I've ever had in my life. There's sauce is on another level so is their steak and lobster
When UA started eating the Ceaser salad and started squinting his eyes... it was either bad or incredible. This place has to be that good considering how much UA likes steak. The fact he went for another steak... and couldn't stop eating it speaks volume. My father was a master chef worked at all the best restaurants in New York purse, Spain, Seville everyone? And yes, Frank Sinatra preferred the ribeye.
I’m glad they will let ppl eat at the bar. I will be turning 61 in about 2 months and all of my life, I have never cared about visiting Vegas, but I heard about this and place via RUclips earlier this yr, now I have to go! I was really worried about being a single diner, but I am fine with the bar, if they are!
When my family raised cattle (before the market dropped out in the late seventies), our cattle ate grass in the summer, but we supplemented that diet with red clover hay, oats, and in the winter, just a little drizzle of sorghum. The beef now doesn't even compare, not by a mile.
That story that the Patron shared with you was pretty unique! I can't imagine what a $1.50 quality prime meat burger must taste like! Must have been a great moment in history!
Looks amazing I need to venture off the strip and try this place. Thanks for the review. I recently had a dry aged ribeye at the new Ocean prime restaurant and it was great.

In the 60’s, African-Americans were not allowed to dine in hotels, even if they were performers. The Golden Steer Steakhouse wholeheartedly welcomed Davis, who soon became a loyal patron. Over time, Davis became a staple at the Golden Steer Steakhouse, the Rat Pack (which included Frank Sinatra, Peter Lawson, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Joey Bishop) dined at the Steer as well - in support of Sammy.
The review I've been waiting for. Thanks UA
I just subscribed and clicked the notification bell. You’re good natured, have informative content and your “food face” is epic so you earned a new follower. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words! I love food so I just try to keep it real and say how I'm feeling and don't hold anything back (positive or negative). Appreciate the sub!
Always get sauce on the side. Pro tip.
Garlic butter on the side always, kills the meat
All looks delicious! I'm a huge French onion soup fan. I bet it was good there!
The woman sitting next to me ordered it and it looked to die for
@@uaeats oh boy. Now I want some! Lol
Now I have to visit this place! Thanks for the detailed video.
I had been flying out to Vegas several times a year since 2003 up until last year and I never went to this place. My old school dining spot in Vegas was Battista's, but I might have to take another trip and be sure to try this joint.
Been going to Vegas for vaca since 2000 and have been to Battistas a couple times . Definitely s time warp , but its really a tourist trap joint for me . Nothing special about the food and of course way overpriced. Try Alder n Birch over at the Orleans!!! Awesome surf n turf and wont break the bank.. happy travel's!!!
@@johnkovalicky3389 I agree. The food isn't that fantastic, but the atmosphere is beautiful. Thanks for the recommendation, though. I think I've only been at the Orleans once.
@@serialclone check that restaurant out next time. And if ya like Chinese you must check out Ping Pang Pong at the Gold Coast Casino it's rite next to the Rio! Chao
I used to drive past this place all the time when I was a kid, but I've never seen the inside until now. Now I will have to make a reservation next time I'm in town!
Your usual background music is a natural fit with the vibe of this place!!🎉
When my best friend spent a week in Vegas around 2019 My hotel was next door to this WONDERFUL restaurant. The food was INCREDIBLE. Next time I go to Vegas, I will 100% go again!!
I wish you all the luck in the world. Quitting your job was brave. I truly hope you grow and prosper, your content is quality
You say you don't like Prime Rib but you really like bone in ribeye. I always thought they were the same cut? My favorite part is the cap on the end I think its referred to as the Spinalis.
I know the Ribeye is kind of THE cut for steak lovers and I do love it, I just love the filet more.
My last meal would definitely be steak au’poivre.
I didn’t realize this was down the street from me until today, then I literally just saw your video right now. I’m on Desert Inn by the Sphere and am gonna try to stop in one day.
One of my favorite places in Vegas!
Excellent review. That Caesar salad was perfect. I could tell just by looking at it. So glad you got two cuts. I only wish you had done one side and one dessert. That would have completed a wonderful perfect steakhouse review. But I’m enjoying you more and more !!
UA don't ever stop with your facial expression, it's wholesome and I always get a kick on how you enjoy food.
5 Star UA Rating based on: Squinting, Shaking Head, Weird Faces, and "Hmmm"
My father was a master chef worked at all the best restaurants in New York purse, Spain, Seville everyone? And yes, Frank Sinatra preferred the ribeye.
So kind of you to go to the Bar and not grab a table. That shows your quality as a person and a reviewer.
❤
I’m glad they will let ppl eat at the bar.
I will be turning 61 in about 2 months and all of my life, I have never cared about visiting Vegas, but I heard about this and place via RUclips earlier this yr, now I have to go!
I was really worried about being a single diner, but I am fine with the bar, if they are!
@@andreacheney3593man you have to visit Vegas it’s not all sin and ugly the lights ar every nice
When my family raised cattle (before the market dropped out in the late seventies), our cattle ate grass in the summer, but we supplemented that diet with red clover hay, oats, and in the winter, just a little drizzle of sorghum. The beef now doesn't even compare, not by a mile.
I could taste it while watching this video... Thanks
That story that the Patron shared with you was pretty unique! I can't imagine what a $1.50 quality prime meat burger must taste like!
Must have been a great moment in history!
Great stuff 👍🏿
loving your vids UA. I'm glad you're able to do this full time now. Looking forward to more reviews especially in Vegas.
Golden Steer and Sparks are my favorite steakhouses in the US
Two very good choices!
Ranchers raise a lot of grassfed beef here and then finish the cows on corn. Best of both worlds. Great review, love these iconic steak houses
that face, from the outside, it really looked like it was horrible 😂 the staff surely knows something about what the celebrities' favorite was
I have the dry-aged ribeye every year. Ceasars salad and cherries jubilee. Definitely one of my favorites of all time.
Looks amazing I need to venture off the strip and try this place. Thanks for the review. I recently had a dry aged ribeye at the new Ocean prime restaurant and it was great.
Yeah it's a bit of a trek to get there if you're not a local, but I think it's worth it
Great video buddy please come to la again and try musso and frank
YESSS best reviewer on RUclips. So detailed
He gives a real down to earth review. I have never been steered wront by UA. Gallaghers and Best Bagel and coffee, and Joes Pizza in NYC.
Is butter white in the USA ?
Long time lurker first time commenter. So glad you are able to eat there at Golden Steer. That is on my bucket list! Thanks for the video! Hey since you are able to travel more, why not review your hotel stays too? Thanks! Good luck! 😊
You know not a bad idea! I actually did some hotel reviews in the early day of this channel. It would probably only be worth it for nicer hotels, but maybe if I make many trips to Vegas I can stay at a different hotel on the strip every time and review it
Been there many of times. Golden Steer along with Vic and Anthony's are my favorite. Tony Spilotro's headquarters, The Gold Rush , was located right next door
Agree with Vic and Anthony’s. One of the best in town.
I need "why don't we" shirt in my life. Keep up the great work brother.
Hi! I'm Ernest. 1st time viewing and i subbed. I've never been able to go to Vegas. Like to eat. I enjoy you. Looking forward to be a part of your channel.
I am a little disappointed that you did not get the garlic bread
was hoping youd do this one!
UA with the Ceasar Salad haircut 💇♂️.
Every element of your meal is ON POINT!
Salivating
So glad you can do this full time now. Love your videos. Ribeye and caesar is one of my favorite meals, looks so good 👍
Looks like there’s a damn good reason why they have a line before they open, if I ever go I’m definitely going there.

The 60s. In all honesty that isn't really that long ago.

Young people often don't realize how much improvement there has been during the lifetimes of their own grandparents.

"...15,000 African Americans, 10 percent of the city's general population, were forced to live in a segregated section of the city called the "Westside." The area, once J.T. McWilliams' original Las Vegas Townsite, lay behind a "cement curtain" barrier across the railroad tracks from Fremont Street. In the late 1950s, the conditions in the town hadn't changed much since McWilliams' time, and the ten square block area stood in stark contrast to the glamorous resorts of the Strip. The Westside had neither running water, nor working sewage lines, nor paved streets."

@stephenfisher3721 . They didn't call Vegas "Mississippi in the Desert" in those days for nothing.
Excellent review.
Please don’t close your eyes when it tasted delicious…
Wow that thing was perfectly cooked consistently throughout.
Is that the same steakhouse that’s known for the huge lobsters 🦞?!
Are you thinking of Rosewood Grille? With the picture of the dude in the tuxedo with the red bow tie holding up a gigantic lobster. I remember seeing that picture a lot in the late 90s/early 2000s at bus stops in Vegas lol. They had a location across from what was then the Monte Carlo (now Park MGM).
Ribeye is my favorite too; although no butter!!! Chuck Eye is very flavorful too. That Cesar salad looked great! I'd get some bacon added to mine if available? That Filet looked perfect too. I want to go there next time in Vegas.
Servers always recommend the most expensive stuff, lol.
I've had the Golden Steer Steakhouse on my try list forever when I plan my Vegas trips and I haven't been there, yet and you have just inspired me again to go there. Great review video. You videos are very entertaining and the reviews reveal honest expressions of your opinions.
ELVIS DIDN'T EAT SALAD JUST STEAK AND POTATOES
Supposedly.
And gravy was very important.
And that steak better be well done, as in burnt, and those taters better be creamily whipped.
Though maybe he liked baked potatoes and fries too?
@@resa.waltersElvis def knew how to eat
To me is one of the best steak house I've ever been, you get what you pay for. Can't wait to go back, I've been at least once a year. Love it, truly recommend it.
Ha was that the first time someone at a restaurant asked you if everything was ok based on your “weird face” while eating something good?
UA, hello! I have just found you, and subscribed😊. Funny thing IS....The 1st videos I watched were Pepe's and Sallys in CT, where I am from, and next was... The Golden Steer, and I live in Las Vegas now😂😂😂. Love it! Thanks!
