Perfect meal! Chateaubriand is filet mignon. You have convinced me this is where my husband and I are going for our 40th anniversary dinner when we come to Vegas!Elegant and the presentation makes everything that much more delicious! Derek and Catherine thank you for this amazing video! Dereks eyes tell the tale!😍
Chateaubriand and Filet Mignon are not the same. The former comes from the end of the fllet, the latter from the centre. Chateaubriand is the superior cut.
After seeing the $255 bill, I had a “flashback” to Derek discussing spaghetti and meatballs at the Circus Circus Buffet. What a difference a year or so can make!! 👍🏻
My mouth was watering during this entire video! I wanted a bite of that meat!! Great food closeups. It was worth the price for good food and the whole experience.
A nice night out. You guys are fun and honest with your videos. At the time I watched this 9 people did not like it. I wonder what the 9 were unhappy about? Keep the reviews coming. Love Vegas you two are just fun together. Thank you.
Yeah that's not a terribly bad deal considering the setting, the quality of the food, and the fact that is in Vegas with Emeril's name slapped on it. Stay safe !!
I kid you not, I haven't seen impeccable service and quality in many years What a great treat to have such an outstanding dining experience. This was a throwback to the 60's, but a good one. Happy dining!
Thank you for sharing you Delmonico dinning experience. Lovely dinning experience, beautiful meal, good choice! You were smart to order the banana fosters for dessert, looked absolutely devine. I love emeril Lagasse because he is a great master chef.
I love emeril - We went to his New Orleans restaurant and he actually cooked for us in the back and we got to sit next to the kitchen and watch him it was so amazing! I just love his cooking style and this was absolutely delicious to watch! Congrats on 100k!!!! And that chateaubriand looks like the one we had in Paris yummmy!!!
Excellent video! Thank you. The Venetian is our absolute favourite property but we’ve never been there before. We will definitely be going and will be ordering exactly what you had! Thank you again!
You should into tht Grand Luxe Cafe in the Venetian as well. They are a sister company to Cheesecake Factory. It's located by casino. They have the best fluffy french toast and filling breakfast smoothies! My bf and I shared the mango pineapple one and a strawberry one
Love your sophisticated palate, Derek! Bernaise sauce tastes like coconut cake batter! Seriously, your down to earth & honest reactions plus the new addition of Catherine with her soothing voice & food knowledge are why I enjoy your channel more than any other Vegas reviewer. Keep up the good work!
Rebecca Bradshaw Coconut cake batter? Bernaise sauce is similar to Holandaise sauce and is seasoned with tarragon. and absolutely divine. No coconut and I'm sure Emeril isn't putting anything in the sauce that is not correct!
This is the first time I have commented, but Derek, Katherine, I LOVE ALL YOU CAN VEGAS, not being able to travel from the UK, you have helped keep us sane! Watching this video I think my wife will tell you I have not been so vocal for a ong time!! I was a classically trained chef and am now a full time Magician of 13 years so there are 2 points, the first is the worst! To have a chateuxbriand cooked, brought to the table, carved, AND THEN RECOOKED should be criminal especially at a highly named place like this. I know you prefer your steak cooked a little more, and a piece like that cannot really be cooked beyond medium but for an Emeril Lagasse restaurant.... Wow. It is no different to having a steak brought to your table not cooked as you wished it, taken to the kitchen cut open and recooked, in fact it is exactly the same. That puppy would have gone straight back and the manager bought. I spent my time table side cooking and well we'll leave it there, the second point is your waiter wasn't very entertaining, but just gave a running commentary on the process. My wife says she would have felt very awkward. He could have asked how your day was, how much you've lost (lol) etc and engaged you a bit more, I hope he did in places we didn't see. Any way, thats my rant!! Love you guys, stay safe and maybe we'll bump into each other when we get out there. Much love
Gloves can be contaminated just like skin. I would trust the chef’s hand washing protocol at Delmonico’s more than a teenager who just wiped his nose while preparing a Subway sandwich with gloves on. It’s a feel good thing. If I had concerns I would just stay home.
I really like it when you are reviewing a restaurant that I have enjoyed myself. To watch your dinner and dessert being prepared tableside, just makes it that much more special of a dining experience.
That table side chef didn’t seem to enjoy making that food. Once spent $180 at a diff Las Vegas Strip steakhouse. Can’t put a price on a perfect night. :)
Ordering anything prepared table side always adds something special. We only make it to Vegas once or twice a year, we’ll definitely be adding this to our to do list next time!
FUN FACT: The shirt, tie, and jackets the table side chefs wear are all one piece, attached with Velcro in the back, kind of like a theater costume. When they need to perform a table side event, they quickly throw it on over their chef’s whites, have someone fasten up the back, and voila, you’ve got a chef in a suit!
Im sorry, but thats just wildly and greedily overpriced food. Im sure its delicious, but that Caesar is 35 dollars, when its costing Emeril no more than five to make. I dont mind a profit, but come on.
Your server was great!!! He did a fabulous job!!! The problem today is young adults don’t appreciate this kind of service! They just want to eat fast and get out!
def reminds me of some old school restaurants ,, it's cool if you search early 1900 restaurant menus you'll see most places were very simple dinner would have only 3 choices a meat or a fish or a chicken with a simple side and to drink again only 3 options water or hard liquor or milk ,, and this is where you get a lot of old timers today who'll get a big milk with their steak diner because that's what their parents & great parents did
I have never seen tableside cooking so this was very enjoyable to watch. I watched him so closely, he was very good. Mad silverware food moving skills. Anyone else wonder how many black suits he has ruined by having tiny little oil droplets land on his sleeves? That steak looked like it melted in your mouth. You were brave to order a cut of meat you didn't even know lol. Turned out to be a great choice. I want that banana cream pie. Can't afford the restaurant but I wonder if they sell dessert take out? Going to have to ask next time I am there.
The food looked great but it was ridiculously expensive. Also, the guy preparing the food was not the friendliest. Maybe he was having a bad day but for that kind of money I would expect a nicer reception.
These are the best videos & most fun! I just love “ALL YOU CAN VEGAS” blog/videos/posts & love every single one that this great couple make. I especially love the overall “feel” of each video for I truly “feel”l like we are sitting at the table eating with them each time. I especially love how they go over the menus from each restaurant so that we can actually read everything on the menu( we get to pour over menu, too, just like if we were physically there, front to back, too! They leave nothing out on these videos which makes it especially 🤩 fun!!! I so love that about these videos!!!) The wait staff, the service you get at each restaurant....... nothing is left out & I so love that, too. Another fantastic video by this couple that keeps my attention start to finish! It helps us decide too where we would love to go when we visit Las Vegas on our next visit! They do such a fantastic job that I would love to see them expand from restaurants/food to critiquing each casino/hotel/resort, as well as attractions ( like the TITANIC EXHIBIT, HELICOPTER TOURS, for instance.., is it money well spent or another tourist “trap?” I know this interesting, well informed couple would be able to show us an unbiased tour/advice as they do on their restaurant “tours!” Last of all I want to thank the extraordinary “UTUBE ! “ They are truly incredible! They bring us amazing experiences, such as this, that many of us would be totally unaware of if not for UTUBE. They bring us such varied experiences such as this incredible couple & their food tour, music, oldie concerts interviews, tv shows from past we were not even aware of until we saw it here, interviews, list just goes on & on with all the amazing things that UTUBE BRINGS US SO A HEARTFELT THANKS TO THEM, as well!!!! I mute the volume and watch Derek taste the steak with his eyes and facial expressions. First the eyes roll to the back of his head as the eyelids flutter and close nearly shut and the eyebrows perk up like Spock's and then finishes with a big childlike smile and then I unmute and hear the hmmmmm...So freakin awesome man.
I know the steaks are the star of the show, but WOW that Caesar salad looked impressive!! I also really want that gigantic wooden bowl. ❤️❤️ I know you two enjoyed the heck out of this meal, and I'm living vicariously through you from my couch. 👍👍
Derek is like a little boy at his favorite candy store! Too funny some of his expressions says it all with the flavor of his food, the excitement and enjoyment of the flavors!....
The critical ingredient on bearnaise sauce is a tarragon reduction (using freshly chopped tarragon and vinegar). Should not taste of coconut. Cooking it is scary, too much heat and in a second you have scrambled eggs! Waiter using spoon and fork has wrong technique (spoon handle through fingers). You must be able to pick them up with the serving hand. Harder to learn, but much more flexible. You normally only get the bearnaise - the French would scream at being given anything else for this dish. The "head end"of the long fillet is the only part used, pan fried, then poppd into the oven and carved at the table. Good to see you enjoying this for the first time.
$35 for a ceasar salad, 😳😳 $35 for a few pieces of lettuce and dressing I'm sure your not making that much money from youtube with that many subscribers.
Hi Derek & Catherine, Hope you both are well. Looks amazing and delicious. I love steak I usually have mine medium rare. Definitely going to check it out when I’m at Vegas next year 😋🥩 Can’t wait for your next video. Have a fantastic weekend you two. Until next time!
I don't know if it was the way I was raised, but I can't see spending that kind of money for what you ate. I do very well now, but it just makes me bristle.

Wow! What a gorgeous show! Did you know going into dinner so much would be a table side presentation? What a lovely evening. From now on, I will always be grateful for the locations that are friendly to RUclipsrs and allow filming inside :-)

I agree. This may be their best video yet. The food and presentation just popped. I want to go on a trip now. Seriously.
Chateaubriand is filet mignon. Glad you said that. It's nice to know what it is you ordered.

U remember watching emeril on tv as a kid in the nineties. One of my biggest food hero's. Legendary man.
After seeing the $255 bill, I had a “flashback” to Derek discussing spaghetti and meatballs at the Circus Circus Buffet. What a difference a year or so can make!! 👍🏻
Get in where ya fit in. 😅
He will start taking helicopters around Vegas instead of driving before you know it.
And that bill is nothing LOL my steak dinners are usually $200 a person

I thought it was neat that he turned all of the asparagus stalks the same way before serving, nice touch !
It's all about the presentation. Though I would have thought it better to straighten out the stalks before bringing them out.
Why wouldn't the asparagus be layed in the same direction?
We only got to visit here because of Derek and Catherine! What a beautiful dining experience with impeccable service!
Always worth watching for Dereks steak face!
My mouth was watering during this entire video! I wanted a bite of that meat!! Great food closeups. It was worth the price for good food and the whole experience.

I haven't seen a caesar salad made tableside in 40 years. Anchovies and raw egg. That's what a real caesar salad is.
And many people don't know that the Caesar salad was actually invented in Tijuana, Mexico by an Italian immigrant.
I make the best....Ceasar Cardini bottled dressing, a squeeze of fresh lemon, parmesan and pepper. Better than any restaurant and costs about $4.00.
