We often use 3D models to create the patterns for my foam builds! So I thought it was about time to show you how the whole process works! If you never worked with Blender before go check out Benni's video:
• First steps | 3D Model...
We didn't explain much about how Pepakura Designer works because the program is relatively easy. But if you want us to make a more detailed video about this too, just let me know in the comments.

Griffith aproves this helm
Came here to make the same comment. Griffith's helm from the anime Berserk.
Yeeeeep. First thought when I saw the thumbnail lol
poor, poor Griffith
Is actually a helmet from Destiny
Dog I was gonna say so.ething about Griffith xD
I liked how he frustatedly walk out and then walk back looking at his watch. You guys are so funny, entertaining and very informative.
Thank you so much guys! Best cosplay tutorials around. I've been wanting to work with 3D models more for my projects so this helps so much!
Glad to help then! :D
You two are a gem to this community, thankyou both for these tutorials!!
Aahh, Celestial Nighthawk, one of the coolest Exotic Hunter Helmets
WARLOCK MASTER RACE
i use it waaaay too much in gambit lmao, its super fun
@@nothisiskas why gambit tho
@@lordmorgoth7 was grinding for dredgen at the time after having to put d2 down for a while due to school. ive finished now, and id sooner play trials than gambit at this point lol
@@nothisiskas tell me about it. I grinded out reckoner 2 weeks before it got vaulted
You bring sunshine when it rains, always a joy to watch you both on RUclips!
Followed this tutorial from start to finish and ended up with a better result that I could have imagined! Thank you so much! I can also use this information to work on other pieces as well, not just helmets.
I don't think the STL generator gave you a very accurate looking model to work with, and I think that's why it really ended up looking more like the Griffith helmet than the Nighthawk lol. The technique is still spot on though and the video very well done, so I appreciate it none the less and look forward to the next one!
Absolutely love your energy and enthusiasm! Thank you for another great video!
I'm a simple person. I watch the funny intro, i press like. Double thumbs up for Benni and his acting skills!
When Benni came out and got interrupted i fully expected him to go find a big hammer and knock Svetlana off screen for some reason.
Hehe, but I own all the big hammers in the house. ;)
You and Benni actually make my life. I remember meeting you both when you came to NZ! Come back soon guys! Love you both ♡ Your energy is contagious!!
Would love to be back!
Wow, your tutorial is so intuitive that even without completely understanding your language I was able to understand it without much difficulty, thank you
Awesome, thanks again Kamui! :D Benni's guides to 3D modelling are so valuable.
Glad to hear that!
Thank you for doing more 3D tutorials! Super helpful.
Instead of doing an entire retopology of the model: There is an option in Blender called "Tris to Quads".
Thank you for commenting this!
Uuuuu i might use it one day! If i remember 😜
Lol
I would love to see some more tutorials about converting pep files to foam patterns! That would be SO useful
What is that on your name?
@@igorz3551 it's a badge I have that shows I'm a paid supporter

Girrrllllll 😝 I just love your way. Your silliness is so sweeeeet 😍😘
Great vid guys! You always make me laugh =D .One question though, is there any advantage in using Pepakura for the unfolding over Blender's unfolding?
THANK YOU!!!!
She is so plucky its adorable.
Hola, saludos desde Mexico, eres muy buena en lo que haces :D
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Only part I'm having trouble is how you manually close the hole? My new faces keep wanting to stick to the original object - they won't lay flat under it?
Lol...you guys are hilarious...loved the video
I think I'm in love
Thanks so much. This Video is helpfull, can we get more 3D Modeling Tutorials to pattern ? That would be awsome.

Hi Beni, hi Svetlana. thanks for your inspiring tutorials. I have one question regarding foam. Did you use high or low density foam for your helmet ?
