Thank you Bob, that’s an awesome video with great content. I’ve had the King Hauler with MFC-03for about a year using a Futaba 4YWD which was a real pain. Since upgrading to the Flysky it is so much easier and another video you posted showing how to bind multiple receivers makes it so easy for trailer lighting. Thank you again for you knowledge. Cheers Gerry
Hi Bob, thank you a very comprehensive and clearly explained how to operate the FlySky FS-i6 with the MFC-03 unit. Wishing you and the family health and happiness for 2022.
Another excellent video, and very well explained! Very detailed instruction on hookup; and my gosh, that will take some practice! Thanks again Hobby Concepts 😊👍
I kind of like the way you can choose signal or not and varied startup sound. I could understand not wanting a jumper also if you were running a out of the box motor too. At moment I use 80 turn in mine. Great video Bob, i always learn something from you. I'm excited to build the new globeliner to by the way! By the way you'll have to show everybody Winston since hes grown up lol.
Very well done, just like we always expect from you. Thank you! I'm living the dream through you right now. In a few more years when I retire, I WILL build one of these big rigs. 00
Still better than the MFC-01. Newer, better circuitry, a few more functions. PART of me is getting Buyer's remorse for starting with the Beier as my first Big Rig Sound System..... But I'll get it working, right??? 😁
Hey bob, awesome vid! Was able to mostly get my mfc03 working. But I’m running fast-i6S remote. And can’t figure out what I’m missing to get the swA switch to function like how you have the i6 and i6x set up. Edit, I figured it out, my fault. When setting up the dual rate, I could figure out how to assign swA at first. Little different menu on the i6s. But it works now. Love all your videos though. Big fan of yours
Good morning Bob When connecting the trailer to the truck I have a force problem especially in the reverse I already made all the adjustments but I see that it continues with the same problem it walks little and stops just like the reverse that it can be. On the bridge in j12 you can solve that problem for me so that the truck can walk and go back better.
Hi Bob. Thanks very much for the useful video it’s great! None of my auxiliary switches seem to be working on my transmitter, do you have any idea what it might be? I have the same transmitter and receiver as you.
Hello Bob, please tell me how to install the ST8 transmitter on Tamiya MFC-03. I recently purchased it and am using it, but I have a problem turning on the light and I don't know what to do.
You need to set "conditions" in the menu. Word they use for dual rates. You can verify you have it set in the monitor - should go from 75% to 100% on channel 2&4. Use switch A for conditions.
Man those 03 operations are amazing. I don't like that the turn signal goes on through any turn on the 01. Wish the 03 had American sounding trucks on it.
id like to see that truck full of dirt dumping it. i feel it would be to slow or will not lift it with it full of dirt . bob can u do a video on it dumping dirt n stuff . thanks mate always great vids
Are you running the speaker box on this model? Im about to fit this setup into my MAN truck tgx was wondering if we mount the speaker using the box or not? Thank you for all the amazing videos by the way!
Hi Bob , I would like to install the hydraulic dumper with brushless motor , esc . So can i plug the brushless esc into the same “j4” like yours or have to be the separate channel. Thanks so much .
Use a NIMH battery. You can use a 2 cell lipo if you want but use a separate low voltage alarm if you do as the MFC does not have a low voltage cutoff. The NIMH works with no issues and is heavier which is actually better for a truck.
Yes, radios send out a signal on one wire and + - voltage on the others. The MFC uses tricky internal programming to decode the signals to give more functions.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Yeh the MFC seems pretty "complete" in terms of functions. More interesting (for me atleast) are the signal that the receiver sends out. It hooks directly to that MFC and then it all just works, after programming the remote (transmitter). Is it PPM or S-BUS that the receiver sends to the MFC? Btw, great content, I've been glued to the channel for the past 2 days, probably watched 20% of all the content by now.
Great videos Bob, Very useful for a novice truck builder like me. I already have Flysky i6 transmitters, all sticks with centering springs. What, if any, changes are required in the software for the i6?
Radio setup is the same except you do have to assign switch a to a flymode so it will operate the dual rates. I do have a setup sheet and you can email me for that. My email in video description.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC hi bob. I followed your instructions on the mercedes tip truck. And now i have it all locked in. Without your help i would be lost. great helpful videos love your work
if you flick the right arrow down and not go all the way over left or right it will flash the turn signals till you flick it down or fully turn that way to cancel them. For the MFC-03 if you hold the right stick just down and turn on the MFC it will have a person walk up to the truck and get in noise and when you shut it down it will have fun leave the truck and walk away... super cool addons no one knows about.
Hi Bob I'm going to be building my first truck and using the MFC-03 the radio that came with the kit is a radio link 8 channel, do you think this will be compatible?
Do you have any experience with ordering these radios from China on ebay? I found one brand new for about 60$ and that is like half the price from my country so i was wondering if they are legit? And would it be enough channels on this radio to use it on a mfc and also a tipper trailer? I dont know how many channels a tipper trailer requires. Thinking about the carson stone master etc.
Great work Bob. I have a Turnigy Tgy-i6 and Tgy-i6s, followed your steps to setting them up in both videos but for some reason I can't get the headlights and taillights to work, have you got any ideas?

You can jumper J12 for more power but you cab also move the throttle stick to the right when backing for more power.

I always use some kind of box. When using the front speaker mounts I make a box with plastic sheet.
The MFC 03 has impressive sound quality it is even better than Servonaut
for turning it off remotely the truck honks instead of turning off
Great videos Bob, Any idea where to get the 2 pin plug and sockets used on MFC03 for the LED connections?

Hi Bob , I would like to install the hydraulic dumper with brushless motor , esc . So can i plug the brushless esc into the same “j4” like yours or have to be the separate channel. Thanks so much .
If you use a brushless esc with an MFC you have to use a Y cable for the esc. Plug the EXC into one end and J4 to the other.
Thanks
Awesome tutorial, question i just received my mfc03, what battery should i used? Should i buy 7.2 metal hydride battery or should nicad only?

@@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks so much, i really appreciate your help.
How can it do all this with only 4 channels? What do the wires do? 3 wires per connector I presume GND, Voltage and some sort of digital signal?

It works fine with the MFC. You will have to add the centering kit. Enough channels for a tipper with actually one left over.
Will the mfc 03 work with flysky noble?
If that is a wheel radio I will say no.

Carefully check where the MFC wires are plugged into the receiver, they are not in order. Then Map again. I find most issues are in those areas.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC thank you, working. I must've been doing it while half asleep and mixed it up.
Will it work with an i6s? Do you know?
Yes, later versions of the i6s will work. Early versions did not support dual rates but can be updated on the Flysky website.
and my front and the reverse movement is flipped
