Teri this video saved me. Was hunting for any info on the MFU-03 and a Turnigy 9x and this got it all working. Trying to now modify it and use a switch to control headlights with little luck.
pleased you got it working, the Turnigy 9x and Flysky FS-i6 are about the same radio... if you allocate the headlights to a switch just make sure you have it dual rated or you won't get all the functions that you get on your stick.., and the operation of the 5th wheel servo will be more tricky if you have headlights on a switch as it uses the proportional facility the stick gives....

I asked on the OpenRC forums and finally got a response : "If you add a mixer line to channel 2 like: CH2: +35% HALF switch(GEA) then when you activate the gear switch, CH2 will have 35% added to it. If the stick is in the centre, then CH2 will go to 35%." This seems to work for what I need at this stage. But I do want to move most lighting functions to switches so will keep playing!

to activate the 5th wheel. You move dual rate switch to Down, and tap the left stick to the right. indicator lights will flash fast and the right stick Up/Down will move the 5th wheel.
@@TeriWilde Thank you so much. the problem is that I did as you showed me but the fifth wheel does not work... The other problem is that I cannot make the headlight flash just before the horn as you show in the video and I only have two levels of headlights instead of three levels as you also showed (the headlights on the roof come on and at the bottom the 4 front headlights all come on at the same time)... Hi Terri Ive flysky fs-i6 plugged into a mfc 01. Ive a few things that i don't understand . 1. With a full new 5000ahm battery it telling me that it has no powers a cuts out the truck. 2. Errol has numbers all the time and when the truck cuts out to stop the numbers range from 01 to 15. 3. The mfc 01 is running warm and it stops and that's when I notice problem 2. 4. Truck will only work for a small time and when mfc warm it cuts off and stops plus does not like pulling trailer for long and will mfc warm its stops. Plus transmitter tells me that it's batteries are half power when there fully chaged. I hope I make some sense Thanks Jackie
The -03 is a Euro 4 In-Line common rail straight 6 diesel where as the -01 is the older sounding straight 6 CAT.... it's down to personal taste and choice... I have fitted -03 in American trucks and I've fitted -01 in Euro trucks, it's down to personal taste and choice,

It is, yes... the dual rate is set at 75%-100% on the Elev and Rudd channels only. Then teaching the MFC with the dual rate switch set at the 75% value...

Hi Teri, I've installed my Flysky on my MFU03 and it works except my lights ! I did everything by the book (video). Horn, warning lights, etc are working. What could be wend wrong ? I can put my lights on via the Control unit on the truck so the light are in working order!
make sure your Dual Rates are 75% (1) -100% (2) and not the other way around, and that you Teach the MFC with the switch set to "1"... to operate the lights the make sure the SWA Switch is in Position "2" and tap the Right stick Down...
Hi Teri, I did everything you said to me, it doesn't work ! It is strange that I can operate the warning lights in "SWA pos 2 / right stick up" and that I can't operate the lights in "SWA po2 / right stick down".
check on the Display that the Dual Rate is working for both Up and Down for the right stick (Ch2)... and make sure your move the sticks fully when you Teach the MFC... also, check the lights are plugged in and that the LED do actually work... Can you shut down the engine by Moving the Left Stick to the Right and Tapping Down the right Stick when SWA is in Pos "2"...?

hi got another odd ? for ya ive been lookin at the install what comes with the mfc 01 unit and im planin on goin a bit wild with mine full interar and all but from what im cin the speker replaces the seats is it poable to use a smaller speker set up in the truck to save space tu for your input
my mfc 03 with an flysky i6 has a weird problem.after following what the video did the throttle and reverse basically turns weird. when i push front,it goes backward without reverse light/sound,but when i push the throttle backward,it goes front but with reverse light and sound.i've tried reversing the throttle on the i6 setting but no luck,pls help

Hello Teri Wilde, Do you think MFC 01 or the MFC 03 is more suited for the Tamiya American semi trucks? I mean more prototypical sound?

Some times turn signals and horn does not work ! do you know why ?

you fit everything into the sleeper cab and keep the seats and cab interior...

Change the throttle back to normal and swap the motor wires over... that should solve your problem

Yes, I find it easier to control the sub functions that need both Ch3 and Ch4 to operate at the same time such as "Engine shut down/engine restart"
