I'm trying to take a cad dwg and drape it onto a rectangular shape so I can add materials to the linework. It doesn't seem to be working for some reason.
I'm having problems with the drape tool. I have a similar situation as shown in the video, with a road that needs to be draped on a terrain, but only some of the lines get drapes so there are a lot of gaps. It would take a long time to stitch everything together. Any way to avoid this?

does the drape function work with lines or do they have to be surfaces ??

I followed the drape instructions exactly. It doesn't work. instead it added elements of the terrain to the shape.
Sounds like your selections were backward. Select the other object first and run the tool
