off topic, but you should find the video of buckethead playing for his family in his backyard, its really old footage, his style is somewhat bizarre, but he does some slap stuff that i always found interesting, considering he plays a regular guitar. He tunes to drop D in the video at some point, and does a little more slappity slapping. And if you're looking for a challenge, Miles of Machines by Jeff Loomis. Love everything you do man, never stop!!!!

I just discovered you tonight. I am a 60 year old guitar player from S Texas USA. I played in nightclub bands when I was in my 30's and 40's. I very seldom run across younger players that impress me much. But every single video I saw of you tonight has blown me away. And you are so young. I have known players who spent decades trying to get to be better players and are a fraction of your skill level, myself included.

@@aaizner847It's not like bass players don't cover songs. The whole reason why this channel is so big is because he does bass covers of songs and often uses the bass to do the melodies usually done by vocalists.

Without getting into a philosophical explanation about how vocals actually detract from musicality, and into another one about how the human voice, if viewed as a musical instrument, is a seriously limited instrument, by instrument standards...
Please don't compare what it takes to capture entire multi-instrument compositions including vocals, with all the subtleties and nuances of a human voice, with a single instrument... to some pretentious douchebag tacking his opinions (lyrics) onto a beautiful and already complete instrumental piece. One is extremely difficult and takes years and years of work, singular dedication and focus. And the other can be done by literally anyone with a decent natural voice. It USED to require some pitch perception too, but now with autotune even that's not necessary.
Also, please don't compare what vocalists do in general, to what Charles does, and how he does it. There is no vocalist equivalent to Charles.
That little right handed harmonic trill at 0:39 is just heavenly. Your composing never falls short of amazing
