Already knew this concept well, but now it's crisp and clear. And some extra points: •Left shift is also called - Haldane Effect •Right shift - Bohr's Effect
I've spent so much time trying to understand this concept but no video has made as much sense as yours. Clear and concise. Thank you! Keep making more videos please!
I love you so much!!!!! As a med student, I struggled with this concept and wanted to throw my books out of the window. This video makes my neurons very happy. It's so easy to understand and I'm not afraid of the curve anymore.
The best explanation. Thank you for mentioning the lung picture. A whole lot of other videos completely left out the bigger picture, but this video does a perfect job at understanding the bigger scheme. Thank youuu. 🤩
I Watched three different videos and I didn't understand it well enough 😂... suddenly a medicosis video popped up and now I definitely understand the whole concept...thank you medicosis!
Thankyou so much . I watched more than 10 videos to get a clearly idea. You were the only one who gave this idea ... Thankyou so much . I feel like I will be safe tommorow at my test .
Thank u so much for making medical life easy.... I have exam & I don't have time to revise thru books so I am watching your all videos... It's helping me a lot..
this makes me cry because I've been trying to understand this concept so much and I really can't understand it and is very confusing but now in just 5mins, I was able to grasp it very well. thank you thank you very much for this 🥲
I literally owe you 😊 ....... thought of skipping this topic ,as it was very difficult for me , even after reading it from diff resources.....but not anymore. your video helped me a lot🤗👌 its fab .... Can't thank you much........
this is a very helpful video. thank you for posting this. i understand the distribution of oxygen but for some reason as soon as its on a chart i am lost. this was very helpful.
thank you!!!! my professor took over 20 min to explain this and left the class more confused than before she started speaking... and then you managed to help it make perfect sense to me in less than 5 min 👌🏼
First of all, thank you for your amazing video. In the video, you said that the decrease in hydrogen conc. (alkalosis) causes a shift to the left, but you also said that the increase in altitude (which will cause resp. alkalosis) also causes a shift to the right. Thanks for your answer in advance!
Both statements are correct when taken separately. Alkalosis is a left shifter, whereas high altitude is a right shifter. In real life, we can have all sorts of combinations of different factors.
This is so good. The automatic assumption is as SpO2 goes up, O2 to the tissues is increased. What's almost never described is why an SaO2 is typically 97-98%, i.e. the difference is dissolved in plasma as PaO2 as it transits to tissues. Love your sarcastic humor!
