- The Jacksonville Jaguars definitely added good talent this off-season during free agency. But did it come at a cost? Some might say the team panicked and over-reacted to last season's choice to be stagnant in the open market. They added players whose positions are strong in the draft. Building your team through the draft become so much more important the moment you pay your franchise QB over 20% of the cap
Facts!!
I've always believed in building a team via the draft. You draft your QB, LT, RT and your starting receivers and RB on the offense. You can sign some free agents on the interior O-Line and to get depth as well. On defense, you should draft at least one starting pass rusher, one interior D-Lineman, MLB and both starting CB's and at least one starting Safety and then you fill in the holes during free agency. The problem is that over the last 15 or so years, this team has drafted horribly. We've had so many opportunities to make this team a real playoff contender, but we failed time after time. It now seems the team is "gun shy" when it comes to the draft, so they make a lot of moves in free agency.

It's been said before, but it's worth saying again, you can't build a Superbowl winning roster relying on other teams finding talent and then poaching them on bigger money in free agency. You can paper over the cracks of your own poor drafting that way, but it leaves you without the roster depth to last out a whole grueling NFL season. We HAVE to hit on more draft picks and have more guys on rookie contracts contributing to the team if we want to have a squad that can make a deep play-off run.
Roster managing like they are they is a good way to stay just over .500 and keep a GM in a job, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
That’s when you double down and you get them anyways if that guy that second guy turns out to be anything he’s going to be because he’s been working behind a vet if he gets a front of a vet that better still value on that bench but now he’s invaluable when it comes to his contract that’s how that works
It gives rookies a chance to work with a better this way

I still want to trade down and get more picks than I would trade back up in the 2nd round and get 3 players in the top 50
I understand the criticism but I don't agree calvin ridley is a gud player but he wasn't a gud leader for these young players it seemed if he showed negative emotions it brought the team down also. and we did miss cam toughness along with poor center play so the moves to get Davis who can be a big target the Marvin jones for trevor and Morris to give us time to do anything I see this offense only being better. I personally wouldn't mind a olineman in the first rd but if the top two cb are available take them. I believe our offense will be much better and our defense this year

Then couple of years ago, biggest #1 seed fraud in playoff history. Everyone knew titans were going anywhere with tannehill and boring running offense. Ridley isnt going do anything for your. Once he realizes this titans team is trash after week 3, he just gonna take a vacation during the season and enjoy his benjamins.
