Not only do we need music to be like that again, but we need life to be like that again. Too much has gone wrong in the pursuit of money.
Her whole life was a struggle to maintain that beautiful voice. Asthma and a terrible bronchial disease plagued her. She meditated , maintained a strict diet, exercised and followed a regiment that most of us would find very tedious. A dedicated, gifted artist who faithfully cared for her instrument. That voice isnt effortless. It preserved with blood, sweat and tears.
Incredible artist. ❤️
The original Winston Churchill quote is
“ I have nothing to offer you but my
Blood, Tears, Toil, and Sweat ! ! ! “
I was going to listen to just one Seekers song and go to bed. That was 2 hours ago. They are so addictive.
Nice to know I'm not the only one. '-)
Me too!
Me, too. EXACTLY!
Same here😊🇬🇧
100%
My Lord! What a voice! Rest in everlasting peace and joy of our loving Saviour, Sister Judith.
The Seekers were fantastic.
Judith was absolutely gorgeous with a matching voice.
I want this version of this song played at my funeral. . .
I share that sentiment.
While you listen to this, just notice the absolute pitch perfect voice she has!
No gimmicks, no swearing, no raunchyness, no undressing. Just honest singing and musicianship. This group did not need gimmicks. Their voices, harmonies and muscianship said all you ever needed to know about them. In two words, A CLASS ACT
agreed
Definitely! They could really sing (instead of whining like a lot of modern 'stars' do). As you say, the harmonies are very good and they could play their instruments and sing nicely without having their voices digitally enhanced by a computer!
No question about that. Pure talent.
Richard Barr She is absolutely pitch perfect, years and years before autotune. Most modern singers can't sound this good even with autotune.
@@rabnuds So true! She had a fabulous voice!
She effortlessly hits that high note and my heart soars. What a voice Judith! Truly angelic.
I tear up when she hits that high note...I have loved this group since I first heard them just about the time they did this song....
Thanks so true love the high notes...
Amazing how the best make things look so easy.
And stunningly beautiful too!
Always modestly dressed too.
Driving a truck at night and listening to this song when there is nothing on the road, good for the soul, nothing comes close, fabulous voice....just heard she past away yesterday..rip Judith. Never forgotten ❤️
END of The Word when THIS Happens.
All us believers will go to HEAVEN.
@@etvonrashke3763 thanks, stay safe on road

A VERY BEAUTIFL LADY
@@etvonrashke3763 hope you are well my fellow teamster with the covid crisis at present, be safe 👍 Danny barrett
She looks and sounds fantastic .... no wonder the room falls silent when this group are in the place , even the children listen , the Seekers are absolutely superb.
Exceptional piece performed by this great foursome. Judith's voice is unique, and the depth and blending added by the 3 men is beyond amazing. Decent, clean, modestly dressed---a world away from today's rubbish.
I think Judith is the best female vocalist I have ever heard.Absolutely stunning voice.
I fully agree
Absolutely!!
She sings rather than yells her songs!
I class her in my top 4 with Dolly Parton, Nana Mouskouri, & Anne Murray. They have different strengths 🎶😇♥️💯
@@aljmann My selection along with Olivia Newton John
Judith Durham is the most beautiful singing voice ever planted on this wonderful earth!
what a voice that woman has !...staggering !...sends a chill up my spine when she hits that high note at the end.
Billy James me to ross
Billy James- And, she is absolutely beautiful!
Her range over the years has been incredible -- not just in vocal range, but in her ability to soar in various genres, folk, jazz, spirituals.
TWO octaves up ...
That moment took my breath away !!!!
I have never, in all my 64 years, heard such a beautiful, clear, perfectly pitched voice as Judith Durham's.
@Pixie Pete I've been here, there and everywhere.
@Pixie Pete what the hell are you on about?
Judith Durham was the lead vocalist with The Seekers.
Judith’s vocal range is incredible. She hit that high note at the end perfectly.
Unquestionably, one of the greatest voices in the entire history of recorded sound.
Best singer Australia EVER produced.
Judith Durham. The Voice of Australia. This band's "I Am Australian" should be that country's national anthem.
And the angels added another voice in Heaven...Thank You for all the beautiful music Judith...Rest In Peace.
Absolutely the best. What a voice, what a song and what a group. I melt every time I hear this.
What a beautiful song. We just lost a treasure of folk music. Goodbye Judith..sing to us all from heaven.
The best female singer I have encountered in seventy four years
Shear bliss of a voice, gifted from the gods themselves. The group is in perfect timing, and the bass is utter perfection, her voice hitting those notes at the end is pure magic.
The singers and groups of today need to listen to this type of music, and learn from it.. Not this x factor & the voice crap, which is just screaming... This is singing and music at its finest. Thank you SEEKERS.
Judith Duhram, what a voice ! Wonderful !
We have heard great female pop singers with powerful and beautiful voices, such as Linda Ronstadt, Agnetha Faltskog (Abba), Karen Carpenter, Ann Wilson (Heart), Carole King, Olivia Newton-John, and others. But no one seems to be able to do what Judith Durham was able to do with her vocal power, pitch, purity, poise, resonance, range, emotion, grace, simplicity, effortless delivery, transcendent, heavenly sublime tonal quality, and overall luminous stage presence. Judith left her listeners awestruck with every performance. The angelic wings of her voice allowed the audience to soar with her to the deepest blue of heaven's skies. Truly missed, inimitable, and irreplaceable.
please do not forget Marie Frederiksson from Roxette
not a fair comparison. Judith cannot possibly sing the same type of songs as e.g. Bette Midler. I listen to the type of song, and enjoy the singer for what they're worth. Ronnie Gilbert is another super talent. No disrespect, this song is sublime.
Mary O'Hara as well.
No one comes close to Judith!
v
First of all you are right, her voice is unique, and will ever be... but please never forget Marie Frederikson please, ever
It is nice to see there are so many fans of Judith Durham. The entire Seekers vocal group sound was hypnotically harmonic with Judith cutting through clear as a bell. Great music for a hot day because there are so many moments where chills go up your spine. I know we'll never find another her.
Added to the wonder of Judith were Athol, Bruce, and Keith. How firm a foundation was that, eh!
Beautiful beyond words!
On Friday, the world lost the voice of an angel. Rest well, Judith. Your work will never be forgotten.
Just the BEST group there ever was. A true musical group. No gimmicks, no foul language. Just true virtuous, happy and soulful songs. I know this because my husband and I lived it. We'll never find another Judith!
When Judith sang God must have smiled, she had the voice of an angle !
Listening to genuinely beautiful music like this makes me feel like I am more deeply loved than I could ever imagine by the same God who created Judith Durham and her fellow band members. Every time I hear "When The Stars Begin To Fall", I feel like I am being healed and comforted and reassured by some irresistibly wonderful benevolent force. It feels like every cell in my entire body is ringing in harmony.
Only word I can think of is: BEAUTIFUL!
Her vocal range is astonishing.
Judith had perfect pitch - also Agnetha from ABBA - two instantly recognisable voices!!
There are a few singers who you know you'll never be disappointed and never hear wrong notes. She is certainly one
Judith had perfect pitch as did Mama Cass and Jane Morgan.
Perfect pitch doesn't give you Judith's range. The amazing thing is she had a lower register as well, and when she completely faded into one with the boys she was in that register, but she rarely did that.
Go listen to the song Heroes, from the opening of the 2000 Olympic games, Vanessa will amaze you too.
Just perfect. Wonderful harmonies and Judith's voice is amazing. When she hits the high nores near the end is incredible.
there is no one that can close to to this most BEAUTIFUL voice!!
What a beautiful voice in such a dark world.
Beautiful song. Beautiful singer. Beautiful harmonies.
As much as I have loved Judith since 1965 It is the blend of her voices with the three boys that make it for me. None is greater than the other.
A beautiful voice and a beautiful lady. God bless you Judith.
Just sublime
My Lord, thank you for giving us her voice. Take care of her.
A captivated audience ...on board the ship to England? My Lord what a voice... love you Judith and lads.
When I find a working time machine (no luck so far on eBay), I WILL be on that ship!
In 1966 I was 13 and had a monster crush on Judith. In July 2022 I'll be 69...blessed with an amazing wife of 41 plus years... raised 4 wonderful (now grown) children and have 9 beautiful grandkids...but truth be told...I still have a monster crush on angelic Judith. When she sings, she commands full attention...she is one of God's works of art!!!
How could we not! I'm 71 and married to a wonderful woman for 51 years, but still there is small crush remaining! RIP Judith!
We lost an angelic treasure on August 5th with Judith's passing. Heavenly Father must have wanted one of his favorite daughters to come home to sing in heaven.
@@johnbush2798
I completely agree with your statement.
She was definitely an angel in my mind !!
yes , and now she is there singing with her angel voice among other angels
Judith is the greatest and most beautiful woman singer ever to step on a stage. Watching her on stage is by itself a remarkable experience. Everything in her commands attention. This applies to he entire career.
As a American I have tears as I was a huge fan of the Seekers. I will always miss singing of Judith Durham and the Seekers.
May Judith Rest in Eternal Peace. I actually miss the group more than I do then of all of my aunts and uncles and cousins and one brother but never my Mom and Dad.
Bless Judith, had such a beautiful voice
Just played this as a wake-up song for my Australian labradoodles. They loved it!
The purity and beauty of her voice is unreal
Judith Durham was an angel sent to earth to sing for us. RIP Judith 🙏🏿
Amen.☁️🎺👼💒🙏🌹
Growing up in the 1960's, I remember the hits The Seekers had, but I don't think I've ever heard this. What a wonderful, enchanting performance by Judith and the other group members. Truly deeply impressive. Thanks so much for posting this.
Unbelievable. They are just amazing. No one does songs like this better.
Judith's voice was always pure and pitch perfect ! None better !
she puts the so called young singer's of today at the bottom of the mountain that they Will never climb
Have a listen to Lucy Thomas, aged 16, from the UK.
The greatest female voice in the history of recorded popular music. Period.
Karen Carpenter. Just velvet.
Did Karen have Judith's range? Anyway, they both give me goosebumps.
@@italia689 No she wasn't.
@@martysuckstorff8356 Carpenter had a flat monotone quality in her voice. A lovely voice. But Judith's is easier on my ear. Just my opinion.
@@PaulGDextraze Have to agree. Judith's voice is lovelier with far greater range. A lot of the Carpenter's material was kind of dreary.
God bless your spirit Judith, you beautiful beloved Australian angel as you take your flight into the heavens.
Judith had one of the most recognizable voices ever
Judith has a God given gift... effortless, flawless, beautiful and magical voice... we are blessed to witness such a gift.
Would this be the same Godd who decided it was ok her lungs suffered permanent damage from measles when she was 4 yrs. old?
Never ever get tired of watching this.
Music the entire family can enjoy, and parents don't have to feel anxious about any lewd or obscene acts by the performers.
Absoloutley the best female voice ever. Hearing this brings an outpouring of tears remembering so many things in life and now the sad passing of this truly gifted person. Rest our Judith.
Ever? Who comes second? If you told her that, she might have thanked you but listed some she might have thought were better than her..
Her voice was beauty itself, but I would also mention Sandy Denny, Mary Hopkin, Mary Travers and Joan Baez in the same league, but that's to my ears certainly.
@@pauldurkee4764 Patsy Cline!
@@pauldurkee4764 not the range of vocal as Judith.
@@scottyjohnson3120 a nice evocative C&W singer. But Judith's perfectionist vocals give her the edge.
What a stunning, fresh faced beauty Judith Durham was as a young woman! Her gorgeous looks were only matched by her equally beautiful voice! Why she had so many insecurities about her appearance is beyond me! She is a legendary performer and 'The Seekers' are an excellent group! They all certainly deserved their huge worldwide success!
Absolutely agree. Judith was a stunningly beautiful young woman. No normal healthy Male could not fall totally in love with her. Then theres THE voice!
@@markhill9275yes she certainly could be my Morningtown Ride ......(sorry!)
@@charlesyates4230 Yes, Judith had oodles of sex appeal too! THAT little red dress in the Never Find Another clip just makes me bite my bottom lip, hard!
@@charlesyates4230 It's the hardest thing... I keep singing Morningtown Ride and the first part of 'When the Stars Begin to Fall. However, I cannot carry a tune so I do it in my head only. I am till mourning the loss.
Judith had the voice, the looks, and so subdued. RIP beauty...thank you for all the fabulous music!
Magnificent Truth in a Beautiful Song.
Fell in love with this beautiful girl aged 22 and after 53 happy married years Judith still melts my heart X
Farewell Judith you'll be sadly missed.. Amazing voice. I've always loved The Seekers
I have just watched and listened to this again for the so manieth time. I was filled with a renewed sense of the great talent of this woman. And a deep awareness of the brevity of life on earth. I listened to Judith as a teenager. I listened for the rest of my life. I am now 74 and it all feels like such a sadly short while. But, gratefully, we experienced this wonderful voice and person!
Herman, you're right, those years soon passed.
I was 7 years old when this special ran in 1968! Wouldn't you have loved to have been in the audience for this concert!! Judith's voice is once again Angelic and this is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard the Seekers sing! Thanks for sharing this video!!
Just fabulous hope Judith is here for a long time yes the more I listen to this amazing lady the more I realise that talent like this doesn’t exist today 🥰
Ah - no idiots waving mobile phones around - distracting themselves and everybody else around them. Oh boy - take me back to when I was a kid!
LOVE THEM.......THEY ARE WONDERFUL TOGETHER.....JUDITH'S VOICE LIKE A HEAVENLY BELL....PERFECTION.....
Best band in their genre ever. Judith voice comes from heaven above. Magnificent
Will there ever be another voice like hers? she simply was and is the best anytime, anywhere....
true!
I saw her performing in Cambridge, UK, a number of years ago and she had a beautiful voice. I have followed the Seekers since the late 60s and Judith has that pure voice that is rarely heard.
It’s 2022 and still no voice around like Judith’s ❤️
My Lord, what a beautiful voice, when Judith Durham begins to sing!
Not only a fantastic singer but also one of the most beautiful women in popular music 🎵
Love this song by The Seekers, and I always wait for that magical high note Judith hits near the end, Wow! she nails it!
When The Stars Begin To Fall is probably the finest display of Judith's vocal range. You'd never
know that her lungs suffered per-
manent damage from the Measles
when she was 4 yrs. old.
Stan'--Measles? I don't think so. she must have breathed in some toxic chemical most likely. It's simply one of many medical frauds that have gone on for over a 100 years. No virus called "measles" has ever been isolated properly and the pathogen seen. Antibodies are faked during the purification process when they added antibiotics instead of removing everything but the pathogen which they did not see. Same thing as the CV 19 fraud and the HIV/AIDS fraud.
Infectious viruses do not exist--neither does contagion.

She was such a beauty at that early time and never lost that beautiful voice that moves us to tears often!
This group has become my favorite of all time. Just plain ole beautiful music.
let's give some credit the the other members of the band that add the wonderful harmonies, depth and personality to the sound. Rightly so, Judith stands apart, but the other members add so much. It's the four together that really makes the music as impactful and meaningful and timeless as it is.
+Eric Klingler Agreed!
+James Sero I think you have to credit Tom Springfield for their biggest hits...including this one which was their first number one.
It does say 'The Seekers'.
Terrific point, Eric. While I understand that Judith was the centerpiece of the group, the contributions of the gentlemen were crucial to the overall Seekers sound.
Agree! Durham is backed by great musicians. Those gentlemen also add some great harmonies.
I need to add, much of our appreciation of the Seekers hinges around the exquisite 12 string guitar-work by Keith Potger- not only the wonderful rhythm guitar and the glorious lead 12 string guitar just adorns their many fine songs. And Judith's voice is heavenly- what a fine group of musicians.
love the sound of a 12 string, the whole sound of the seekers makes them the best group of the 60's
This band is great “”” the time era and everyone’s talent yes came in too play!! With so much effigy from their hearts that blended superb “””
