I agree with you, George. They are amazing, and Judith's voice has no equal. I've been listening to them for years and still can't get enough of their music. They are truly in a league of their own!
Robert Stevens , that certainly would have happened if only the Seekers could have done some concert tours here in the USA. Their only such concert tour was around 1966, as far as I am aware.
The Seekers did have a huge exposure in the US from 1965 to 1967, but most people nixed them around 1968 or '69 for doing an ad for Coca-Cola and selling out. - Tony Arioli
I wrote about this in other comment. They were having an absolutely fantastic turn of year from 1966 to 1967, including a Royal Gala presentation at the Palladium in London and the 200,000 people concert in Sydney on March 1967. Then, having the unique opportunity of a 100 million people tv audience in America they simply turned down the April 1967 appearance in the Oscar presentation where they would sing the n.1 hit Georgy Girl. If they only had done that all doors of America would be opened for them, but fate decided other way.
In my opinion, The Seekers were the greatest singing group of the 1960s. I didn't think it at the time. What matters in the long haul is not what excites you at the moment but what stays with you. After more than 55 years, The Seekers have stayed with me. They are timeless and relevant to our times.

Heartbreak to lose Judith as well as Olivia... what an awful weekend, and an awful week. Can't believe I was crying at work today. The end of an era to lose these two icons. Nothing feels right, and I suddenly feel old and out of sorts!
+John Battles Having read so many similar comments on their YT videos - l think Judith must have had the largest no of adoring male fans than any other female singer, in the world. They are lovely to read, and reveal to me, that there has always been a lot of real gentlemen in our world, despite what popular media might have wanted us to think, esp in the '60s. What a pity she didn't know it at the time - because she had such low self esteem about her appearance.
Yes, she is 73. She lives in Melbourne, Australia. She suffered a stroke 2 years ago but recovered perfectly and actually went on tour to the UK with the Seekers in 2015. The Seekers have a fan mail set up but you will not be able to contact Judith personally.
William Brown Judith Durham has a web site, judithdurham.com. There is a link on that site to send her email. She has someone to respond to the email, probably because she gets more email than there are hours in the day to answer them.
I was brought up listening to The Seekers songs. Even in New Zealand we appreciated what a treasure Judith Durham was and still is. Odd that no one has mentioned Tom Springfield (brother of Dusty) who wrote the songs made immortal by the Seekers. Incredibly, Tom passed away in July 2022 just a few weeks before Judith. Now the two of them are making heaven even sweeter. Here's to you both may you rest in peace..
I grew up in poverty listening to this great song - bless you Seekers - I'm no more poor. Your song helped me be rich in heart, mind, soul and body. I'm just an ordinary musician, senior and ageing.
Everyone saying they were born in the wrong generation. I disagree, I’m happy I was born in this generation where I have access to great music like this with the touch of a finger
One of the highlights of my life was receiving an email reply from Judith herself. She was was a beautiful Woman with an outstanding voice. So very sad to know she has passed.
Unfortunately, like so many wonderful artists of the past - she will never be known of by so many. So who's Duke Ellington. They don't even know the Duke of Earl.
I can't say I had given the The Seekers much thought over the past fifty years but hearing of Judiths passing reminded me of the prominent role they played in the soundtrack of my childhood. Goodbye Judith .... We never will find another You.
I saw these guys LIVE in Belfast , Judith had to be helped onto the stage , I thought "Oh shit , what a bummer " BUT , when that girl (of seventy odd years) started to sing , we were all transported back to the sixties , SHE WAS FANTASTIC , didnt miss a note , the guys in the band looked after her like she was a rare jewel , which she is . The Seekers are amazing , but , Judith Durham is INCREDIBLE .
Judith was interviewed on ABC Radio, here in Melbourne, about ten years ago. I was driving around for my job and listening to the interview. Out of the blue, Jon Faine, the interviewer, asked her to sing. I can't remember the song she sang, but I do remember I had to pull my car over to the side of the road, because I couldn't see through the tears. Her unaccompanied voice made me think that sometimes our mob (humans) are capable of great things. Maybe it's to experience this that is our reason to be here. Judith's difficulties in getting around are as a result of an horrendous car crash she had a while back. Did not affect her voice one jot.
Now I'm listening to this song with tears. Our Judith has just passed away. She gave us countless memories of jem of music. We will miss her. With the most love from Japan.
Dan Adams The "folksy" influences taught me to appreciate all kids of music fairly young . In the nearly 60s you could get Gayle Garnette, The New Christey Minstrels, Marianne Faithful all bending a little folk in to the mix, johnny Cash and Nat King Cole were crossing over quite smoothly. Hullabaoo, Shindig and Bandstand were weekly as were Paul Revere and the Raiders with "Where the Action is". Motown began to be blended into the mix more and more with Temps, Tops and Shirelles, Dianna Ross and the Surf Sound or the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean were surfin'est thing to ever hit vinyl I thought as was CCR or Creedence Clearwater Revival for the sixtiesesque chalenged as well as Neil Diamond, The Byrds, Glen Campbell and Dusty Springfield, Del Shannon who had a lot of other songs than "Runaway" which a good as it is is driven into the round and broken off in all the oldie shows and CD offer infomercials. Bobby Vinton, Johnny Tillotson and Gene ( Last Exit to Brooklyn) Pitney really rocked with songs most people under 40 never knew existed and later took over Frankie Lanes movie western overtures responsibiites.( I think Frankie did Rawhide). As later Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, The Who, the Guess Who, Jim Croce and so so many others cam along and outside the core rock and roll, which was fine...some of them showed a little different way and slight tangent and left society all the richer culturally and on a scale of general feelgood as well. We still have some great artists out there including some apparent admitted devil worshipers misbehaving on stage too. I'll take Chad and Jeremy, the Moody Blues ( Days of the Future Past) was released in 1967 but never got popular in the US til 1972 and was their biggest hit ever, the Hollies, Hurricane Smith ( had a couple of obscure hits in the early 70s but used to work with the Beatles but his genre was interesting to say the least), Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Cowsills ( the "Flowergirl" Song), Kenny Rogers and the First Edition way before he became a country smash aand so so many ore than I could ever emember over the vast majority of current offerings though there is some very good 80s 90s and 2000s music out there LOL. Katie Perry and Nickie Minaj will never top Judy Collins, Carly Simon, LINDA RONDSTADT=OMG who could forget that album cover with the skates and big socks LOL-or Long Long Time , and others so vintage that the spell checker don't even remember them much less how to spell them....Here's to all the artist that evoked all our feelings of puppy love, told off that girl or guy for us in song that e never got to and spoke to our very soul even though they didn't know us all and for sure the world will be much poorer for your passing one day. You people who we not afraid for your children to listen to unsupervised and who just sang their hearts out for us. These and so many legions more e will not see our like again. SALUD
I'm with you Marsh. Standing in my garage looking at hand tools I have had for half a century, I can't believe I'm 77. One consolation though, those tools all say "forged in the USA." A wonderful time and a sad time to be alive. The music will never be matched.
Still can't believe the georgeous Judy is gone from us as is my own beautiful wife .Life will never be the same without these wonderful women but they will be singing together in heaven
I agree with you. But if we don’t roll with the changes, none of us can survive. Just keep that special moment in your heart and visit that special place often.
One of my favourite concerts EVER was finally seeing these geniuses of harmony in their delayed 50 year anniversary concert at the Albert Hall. Just wonderful.
Every now and then a band comes along with 'that' sound. The right time and place. It's a shame Judith decided to leave the group just as their star was shining. How many other fantastic songs were not made. And none of them had the stella success the band had. Still, anytime I'm feeling down or things are bad, I just play some of the Seekers and all my troubles seem to disappear.
When I was 23 years old, I was in my junior year studying Civil Engineering in California with the Vietnam War overwhelming the Country and the entire world and now at 77 years old and retired, I get all teared up and goosebumps every time I hear this song for it brought back bitter sweet memories of all the friends I lost and those who came home sadly severely wounded. The Seekers did have a huge exposure in the US from 1965 to 1967, but most people nixed them around 1968 or '69 for doing an ad for Coca-Cola and selling out. - Tony Arioli
The group did do an Ed Sullivan Show appearance in one of their rare US TV appearances.
Agree 100%. No doubt. Thank God for RUclips!!!
It has always been a combination of Judiths' stunning voice coupled with the boys' extraordinary harmonies. What an OUTSTANDING group!!!
I totally agree. The amazing thing is my favourite genre is metal and I love the seekers and have seen them live as well.
Exactly right.
Amazing harmonies indeed
Now she's gone to a world of her own.
In my opinion, The Seekers were the greatest singing group of the 1960s. I didn't think it at the time. What matters in the long haul is not what excites you at the moment but what stays with you. After more than 55 years, The Seekers have stayed with me. They are timeless and relevant to our times.
I couldn't agree with you more, they were and are still the best.
I always enjoy especially A WORLD OF OUR OWN & I'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER YOU as I was a young 22 year old at the time and these songs always captured me RIP JUDITH 🙏

I was 12 when this song came out.
Wow a long. Time ago, food music, no brilliant music.
I thought Judith Durham was absolutely cute and gorgeous.
Fantastic Talent!!! Aug. 29,2023.
Judith Durham. You made me sing! You had soul. The finest angelic voice on Earth. Wish I could have met you. Rest in Peace awesome lady.

Judith and Allison Krause, absolutely angelic voices, easy on the eyes too.
RIP Judith.... your beautiful voice will be missed.
Goodbye sweet Judith.
Such a great voice.
Now you are one of God's beautiful angels 😓
I really wish could hear this song with my father. Just for one more time.
I miss you so much Dad
My throat tightens up listening to these tunes from my childhood but back in '65 my youngest brother wasn't even born and now he is no longer with us. These songs stir up emotions that I can't describe. Such beautiful songs. Thanks for sharing
Enough to choke me up - that was when music was real music.
+1, Cheryl.

So sad that these songs are simply no more!

Judith had a one of a kind voice. Best female singer ever born. The guys are the best too.
As a young boy in the 60’s I adored the Seekers and was very much in love with Judith! Mind you I think most guys were back then.....I still am😊💖
She was adorable and a great lady. You weren’t out of your league to love her. She was so beautiful, kind, and lovely. I think so myself.
Heartbreak to lose Judith as well as Olivia... what an awful weekend, and an awful week. Can't believe I was crying at work today. The end of an era to lose these two icons. Nothing feels right, and I suddenly feel old and out of sorts!
Magnificent smile, miraculous voice, exquisite charm, ladylike elegance, feminine grace -- that is Judith Durham!
+John Battles how could those guys not have a crush on Judith? I still do!
At one point they were bigger than the Beatles...
Schrödinger's cat would beg to differ.
Robert O'Connor You go ahead and judge. It's your right as a true American.
I love the Seekers, always have and always will. Judith is wonderful, her voice unique and to see her in her prime at 25 makes me feel my age. I'm 73
Is Judith still alive? I'd love to contact her. Know how I might do so?
Yes, she is 73. She lives in Melbourne, Australia. She suffered a stroke 2 years ago but recovered perfectly and actually went on tour to the UK with the Seekers in 2015. The Seekers have a fan mail set up but you will not be able to contact Judith personally.
William Brown Judith Durham has a web site, judithdurham.com. There is a link on that site to send her email. She has someone to respond to the email, probably because she gets more email than there are hours in the day to answer them.
Adrian Larkins I'm 70 Adrian this music is far far better than today's rubbish
Judith is also 73, born in July 1943.
I was brought up listening to The Seekers songs. Even in New Zealand we appreciated what
a treasure Judith Durham was and still is. Judith's body has gone, but her angelic voice, music
and spirit will live on for all eternity.
Rest in peace Judith and may you join the great heavenly chorus in the sky with Olivia.

Even in South Africa the Seekers were very popular. RIP Judith Durham - Magic voice and lovely cheerful personality. And oh, those songs!
We LOVED Judith Durham here in NZ! My parents went to their concert in New Plymouth in Feb 1968.

You can see Judith feels really beautiful in this video the way she moves, her gorgeous pink gown and of coarse her iconic voice, I miss her already.
One of the best bands in history. Judith sings like a Nightingale better than the pathetic efforts that call them selves 'singers' in 2020!
Celine Dion can certainly sing , as could Whitney Houston ....... but Judith Durham could hold her own in any company, no doubt whatsoever about that!

I'm 64, but I remember loving this and "I'll never find another you". They must have been hits when I was 3 to 6 years old but I remember being moved by them a lot. Both I and my little sister remember their last big hit "Georgie Girl".

Judith, you and the Seekers created a classic, perfectly beautiful sound, your vocals are unmatched. Your voice is one of a kind, we loved you and will always remember you with admiration and love.
And don't forget that voice was natural and not enhanced by all the electronic wizardry available today. Judy Durham is the real deal.

I can't say I had given the The Seekers much thought over the past fifty years but hearing of Judiths passing reminded me of the prominent role they played in the soundtrack of my childhood. Goodbye Judith .... We never will find another You.
She's still the best I've ever heard, even after all these years! How lovely she is.
Totally agree!
Well, then, give THIS a listen, ALL the way to the end. Incredible, and that's from a musician of nearly 57 years ...
Judith Durham- In a league of her own-paramount!
Now I'm listening to this song with tears. Our Judith has just passed away. She gave us countless memories of jem of music. We will miss her.
With the most love from Japan.
RIP Judith Durham. 6th August 2022.
Such a sad loss.
But we still have her music to help us through our lives.
tears in my eyes thinking of a time long gone by
I know those tears. I miss those years. I can't believe I'm in my sixties now.
John Repsher Just be glad that you were there to experience the best music that this country has ever seen. Rock, pop, country. What an era!
John Repsher me too..this is Judith at her prettiest, and the band at their best...
What a great group The Seekers were. They summed up a wonderful era of music.
A simpler time. Sad that its gone...….and what did we learn ? Nothing.
I agree with you. But if we don’t roll with the changes, none of us can survive. Just keep that special moment in your heart and visit that special place often.
Well we learned that every week of the 60's produced more good songs than the last 10 years
the music of the Seekers hasn't gone though , and it probably never will ...
You did your part Frank. You learned something.
