Just making my second batch of blueberry jam. First batch yielded 6 half size jelly jars (4oz each). Perfect size for gifting. I also did the small jars of pear butter in the same jar. The two will make a nice gift together.
I wanted to write and let you know how much my family LOVE this blueberry jam. WOW, the added lemon and balsamic flavors are just the right hint and really really do bring out the blueberries' flavor!
How do you know when it's the perfect time to go on the air!? Every time I'm at my lowest you just keep me smiling each time! This New Yorker Absolutely 💘 your recipes.
I did it. I made this recipe and it is the best. My grandchildren are visiting this week and the had to clean out the kettle and have it on sour dough toast for a bedtime snack. Couldn’t even wait for breakfast. Than you so much!
Perfect! This is my Jam! You made it so simple. I got a little impatient for it to hit 221 degrees, but I stayed on course - perfect consistency. Thanks buddy!
I followed this technique for strawberry and it was the best jam I have made. Kroger has blueberries on sale so I am making this jam. Getting Christmas gifts started!
Lol.....you really make me laugh. You're always so excited about whatever you're doing, and I think that is so cool. I really want to try canning, because of watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your passion.
He is my to go to guy when I’m doing something with canning !! So fun and his video are fast and entertaining a big plus and able to follow with out losing interest!!!
I am loving this jam!!! 😊yummy! I just made some cranberry jam, however learned something new heating this video, to strain and cook down the liquid In order to get it a little thinker…brilliant!!!
Can you share your basement collection of all the canning you have made? it be nice to see how you store it. Also, like to see a video of your idea of kitchen essentials. Thanks for sharing!
Well, i know what I'll be making the next time that my local Kiwanis has their blueberry sale this year. More and more I like to preserve my own vegetables and fruits rather than purchasing them in the stores.
Love watching you get so excited about food! I was going through my fridge and had too may blueberries and I knew they would go bad so I made this blueberry jam recipe! Delicious!! Thank you for inspiring me.
Delicious! The entire family loved the taste. Making some more today. I was wondering, does it set up firmer after time. It's only been about 10 hours but it's more like a syrup. If the syrup consistency is normal is there something I can add to make it firmer? Thank you for a delightful video and recipe.
Just found your channel, and your blueberry jam. Yes, I was nervous about the balsamic vinegar, but boy Howdy.....perfect jam. I made your strawberry jam yesterday....yummy! Thank you for the recipes.
Perfect. Nice recipe. I make blueberry syrup. It's time consuming but really worth it in the end. A crowd pleaser indeed. Makes excellent gifts too. Kudos.
I am preparing to use this recipe and it will be the first time I’ve ever made jam or canned! I am wondering if I can mix jar sizes in the same batch? I’m wanting to use some half pint jars and some pint jars. It seems like that might change the processing time but I can’t find the answer to this question anywhere on the Internet.
Just tried this recipe and it turned out great. I used Stevia as my sweetener to keep it keto. 2 Questions. What does the lemon zest add to this and could you substitute Peaches for the Blueberries? Keep the videos coming and yes I did subscribe. Thanks RDG
Wow it was amazing to listen to you this evening because I went to the store looking for some blueberry jam but it was had too much sugar and I want to make some with little sugar do you recommend is it okay to use liquid Stevia when making this blueberry jam
yeah i definelty dont use a crapton of sugar like most recipes. its scary how much sugar is in our foods we eat and i cant help myself somtimes eating wise so its my only way to avoid as much sugar
Dude. Please update your written recipe to state BETWEEN 210 and 221. It took FOREVER to come to 221 and my jam tastes sour and a bit burnt. I am fairly experienced at this and I LOVE this method of separating the pulp from the juice, but 221 was WAY too overcooked. I wasted a lot of fruit and time. :(
It has to be at least 218-221 to set. 210oF would make syrup. I’ve done this before cooking too large of a batch at once. Making smaller amounts or using a wider pan will both facilitate quicker water evaporation and a shorter cooking time to reach temp. Depending on what temperature you were using, increasing to medium-medium high so there is a consistent simmer can help too.
I made this recipe and only got 4 8 oz jars. Also it got so thick i had to take it off the fire at 117 degrees. Tastes delicious. Thanks
the view outside your kitchen window is sooooo~~ LOVE!!

I can't tell if you're a chef that likes to garden or a gardener that likes to cook but I love the enthusiasm for both.

How many ounces does this recipe make? Need to know how many jars to have ready. 🥰
Hi there! If the amounts are followed in the recipe, this process will make six jars of jam. Hope this helps! 🌞
