I have never canned anything before & made this for the first time tonight. I was apprehensive about putting them in the water bath, but thankfully nothing exploded & hearing my 5 jars ping afterwards was very satisfying! My mom already asked me about blueberry jam 😄 TY!
I’ve been watching you for a few months now. I love your videos. You explain everything so well. I have to say, you seem to be perfect in every way. You’re so well rounded, so knowledgeable in so many different areas too. You’re so well spoken, so well mannered, so well groomed, I mean, I watch you and I think my goodness, is there nothing this guy can’t do, he seems so perfect and you really have it together. I’m sure there is, but it sure doesn’t seem like it! Your mother and your grandma, did an excellent job raising you, my goodness. Keep up the great videos, you are helping so many people. Thank you so much! 😊
This should have more views because I’ve watched a ton of the canning jam videos and yours is by far the best and most comprehensive. Thanks. Just did 5 jars using your method.
Watching your utube channel from Beautiful Agency Iowa. I love your memories of great grandmother and grandmother. I learn so much from you. Fantastic channel
Wow. I'm so glad I watched your video. I just bought 4 gallons of Strawberries $58.00!! I've never made Strawberry Jam. Seen many videos and this one has been the method I was looking for!! The color is magnificent!! Thank you!
We are celebrating our oldest daughter’s 40th birthday today. Main dish, Lasagna made by yours truly. Cheesecake for dessert. A couple of us are also bringing fruit sauces for topping the cheesecake. You’ve inspired me to make a Peach sauce. I did it last night. Just checked it, it’s great! Thank you.
Loved how you sanitized the jars then opened a manufactured package of kids and just washed them off in the sink... Still lived the recipe! Thanks for the video
Love how you sterilized your jars!!! I hate doing canning because its such a pain in the butt to sterilize the jars...& putting them in the oven kind scares me (not sure why...I have glass baking dishes & pie plates).... this makes it seem much more doable and not such a mess!!!!! Gonna have to try this!!!!
There is a Strawberry-preserve I buy that does not have any additives; (its not and over priced brand either) this jam looks very close to it! Have you every made Orange-Marmalade?

Who watches vertical videos? Also, why strain out the jam and add it back again. Waste of time IMO
@@Wankidy you overcook the berries if you leave them in boiling for the time needed to come to temp but make it the way you like it.
@jpneal10 they are no longer berries, are they? Overcooking the berries is the whole point. But like you said, you do it the way you like it.

Great and so easy! Thank you!
Great video, lovely spacious kitchen too.

Awh what a lovely kitchen to create in!!
Where did you get your copper pot?
Now do you make it the same way with other fruit or is it different thank you 💗
Can you use the same process to make plum jam.
I am going to try this !! Could I put sure jel if I wanted to
We would love to visit your cellar where you store your canning; see how you’re organized
Instablaster...
This is my favorite jam. Just the way my mother made it. Yum!!!
I made this exactly as the recipe called for and this is so sweet I can’t enjoy it. This will be either ice cream topping or a base for cobbler.
Just a tip, if you want the fruit to maintain its vibrant colour, add some fruit fresh to the fruit while it cooking.
I was told by my mother and I agree a wooden spoon removes the foam better than any other utensil.

Can u do this with green grapes
i love making jams too my children love candy apple jelly made with red hots candy in it but my fave is (suttons daze) winter jam
How funny, I use those little metal trays too. :)
Can you do this with any kind of jam
How do you stay so lean with all that great food around?
I love your videos, and learn lots from you, your are such a cutie!
Love watching ur videos. Recently u been recording ur videos vertically instead of horizontal.
I wondered about this too.
He needs to turn is phone around to record horizontally. One of my pet peeves when it’s vertical
How many days can we keep outside ??

Would love to visit your cellar.
It doesn’t look like there is any rack or plate in the bottom of the pasta cooker. Is that right?
I just cannot get my temperature up to 221° does anyone know why?
😋
I tried making some from strawberries and the jam turned out really dark, i was wondering why?
Ok. Now I need a large copper pot.
We all do! 🤪
I use wax(paraffin)on the top so you don’t have to water bath the jam.
i just use my bread machine ta make jams lol
Do you follow this same recipe for pretty much any fruit you preserve into jam?
Oops wrong video I didn't see your video yet might be good but I just didn't see it yet.!!!
you could possibly melt seal in sink......i have a few times. should run cold water while pouring. I sterilize in microwave 1 min.
No pectin?
I like your method to preserve the berries but a copper pot is toxic.
No it is not toxic
