I have a little funny for you. When my daughter was younger, I'd say around 12/13 yrs old. I taught her how to make apple butter and how to water bath them. She was questioning every step as to why things were done a certain way. Loved that! Then when it came time to take them out of the water bath, I set each one on the counter and she's says "ok now what?". I said now we wait for the pop. She laughed and asked what?! So I explained that when they pop it means they sealed correctly. She asked what happens if they don't pop. I walked out of the kitchen and said well then we suck at this 😂 Wasn't long and I hear her yell from the kitchen... WOOHOO! WE DON'T SUCK! 😂 Happy memory for me now that she is the youngest and now out on her own. Someday to teach her littles how to can fruit butters and "not suck" ❤
I just did a peach jam, but I have leftover peaches here in South Carolina. They’re just perfect ripe and the sun really shine them, tomorrow I’ll make you a recipe. Thank you for sharing with the world your knowledge, beautiful work.🥰🐝🐝🐝
I don't have a peach tree but I make something similar using a bag of frozen peaches and just keep the fruit butter in the fridge. I adore it on waffles. For me I just food process the whole bag and put it in a pan with some lemon juice then cook it down until it's somewhere around 1/3 original volume.
Love fruit butters! I use the same ingredients, but cook it down in my crock pot, to prevent any scorching on the bottom. Then I just use an immersion blender to get things smooth. I like keeping the added fiber from the skins. I freeze the jars instead of canning them. Fruit butters are so good, especially if you’re trying to cut down on added sugar.
I made Peach butter a couple of weeks ago! It was wonderful! I’ve made apple butter for years, but had never made Peach Butter before!! I froze mine. I hope everyone tries it!!
I love how you explain taking the rings off! I have had so many arguments with people insisting that I leave them on. 😂 lol absolutely NOT! I always remove my rings. There’s a serious problem if you use rings just to hold your seals down after processing/cooling. If your jar is properly sealed it doesn’t need a ring, and if you want to trap all that bad stuff in there that would pop the seal otherwise so you screw the ring down tighter to make sure it stays sealed… well more power to ya! I hear botulism is super fun, don’t forget to invite your friends and family too! . If I have a bad jar/false seal I darn sure want to know about it by that seal coming off letting me know it’s no good. 🤷🏼♀️
Hi caleb im from canada and this year the peaches i bought were NOT good csn i use nectarines as we call them those are yummy Ill be waiting for an answer i am so excited to make this thank you
You peaches and peach butter look delicious! I’ve had a horrible time finding good peaches this summer. Breaks my heart because they are my favorite fruit. Most have no smell so I don’t even bother buying. Others have a promising smell but are hard as a rock. Do the whole paper bag to ripen and they either stayed hard or I had one purchase that just shriveled instead of ripening. So disappointed. 😩😭😒 I have to say just watching this video has my salivary glands on overdrive! I’m happy for you that you can grow fabulous, flavorful, freestone peaches! 🥰🥰🥰
This Georgia girl loves this recipe !!!! My mom always made apple butter (I really miss that, and her too) - never thought of doing it with peaches but my-o-my what a fabulous idea !!! thanks ever so much for sharing ...
Hi Kaleb i just finished making your peach butter i had some left over and i tasted it omg i love love it im going to go buy more peaches and make a second batch to give as gifts thank you sooooooo much❤
My mom made peach and pear butter every year from the trees we had on our property when I was a kid. We also picked wild blackberries that she made jelly from. Wish your recipe said how many peaches you use.
I've never made anything like peach butter before but you've got me excited to try!!! Thank you!!! Is it pretty much the same when making apple butter or with other fruits?
Awesome.. i actually am in the middle of making peach butter ( seriously at the rolling boil stage) when this popped up on my feed. Aa i had never tried it, only saw it for sale, while buying peaches. so i thought i would make it. Taste and consistency is unknown. Lol. So i added lemon juice now.
Yum!! I’ve cooked peaches 2x so far. One batch to put in cake, icing and impromptu peach festivals. Then a big batch fo canning. Do I need to do a 3rd batch? It sounds like it!

Kaleb, is there a sugar substitute that can be used for diabetes? Love your passion for cooking.
Where can I find that pot?!!!! 😃
Amazon
Delicious Kaleb….❤
Mmmmm looks good PS Merry Christmas 😁👍👏❤️
Could this be made with monkfruit?
Could I use a submersion blender instead of the strainer?
I like to print out my favorit Recipes but i can't print yours out in collar. Is there something on your end that is doing it?
Can you make fruit butter in a crock pot?
Can you not put the sugar instead put Agave ?
