Good info. I didn't know about the brightness setting. My wife bought one new, got hit by a car years later, and I rebuilt the bike. We sold it and after 5 weeks I bought it back. It doesn't look like a VStrom ( or anything else!) anymore but is just as fun and about 30 lbs. lighter. It makes more sense than my 03 SV1000S for most rides. Thanks for putting this on YT.
As weird as it is, I couldn't find the clock. Apparently I have to hold the adjust button when the key is off for it to switch from temperature. I'll be testing that now. Thanks so much for your video.
Here's what worked for me: While viewing odometer & clock, simultaneously press BOTH buttons for a few seconds to enter Adjust mode. -release Handlebar button increases the hour and "adjust button" increases minutes. To exit adjust mode and lock in the set clock, again press BOTH buttons for a few seconds.

@thedirtygermans, Taking a wild shot here as this channels is so old and outdated... I'm about to buy this precise bike, 2012 62 DL650 V-Strom... and it's a UK bike. For this model, nobody can tell me if the headlight needs changing for Europe roads (or registration). Any info would be heavily appreciated!
Are you talking about driving for right or left? Take a look at online parts catalogs and see if there are different headlight part numbers. I doubt there is and it's most likely just a headlight angle adjustment big anything with turning a screw.

Awesome video, exactly what I needed to see about the Vstrom 650 new dash.
