After riding Harley Davidsons for over 50 years I’ve settled on that very bike. I’m riding a 2012 Suzuki 650 Vstrom. It’s the bike for me at this time in my life..
Do you even know what knobby tires are? It seems not. And you said that the bike had everything. Where is the custom seat? Where is the top box? Where is the cruise control??
I think we cover that in the Video, we will be having a KLR650 video soon. When it comes to plodding around in the dirt among the trees, I love my KLR650 because It goes from forest to forest on the highway and carries all my gear. Riding a V-strom around in the woods is a pain, but it can be done.
It’s missing one of the most important things. The skidplate!!!
I rode a Versys and a V-Strom back to back, and then ran as fast as my legs would carry me to purchase a ‘Strom. That V-twin engine is just magic.

Love my v-strom! As for the comment above v-strom or klr, well it depends, the klr is probably better off road but a bit less stable for the freeway.
I had a 2005 DL650, purchased new, for 11 years with no regrets. It was the best all-around motorcycle of the 17 that I have owned.
im in the market for one although i dont plan to offroad it, i much perfer the the sound of a v twin vs the 650 versys parrallel twin
