During the peak of my basketball dreams in HS (1995-1998) I was obscessed but had my days and weeks when I "felt" like not going to work out. Of course to me being good at basketball was jumping high. Make my free throws/layups/open jumpers. I had no idea what I was doing and ran like a chicken with my head cut off.

Agree it’s crazy he doesn’t have more followers. It’s not just all about shooting and dribbling learning to let things go learning to be a great teammate so many other important things. The games played 90% of the time without the ball in your hands so that’ll tell you. If you ever coach you’re gonna be a great coach.

Man this is great content like it bro. I am a entrepreneur used to hoop and etc. But man so much of what you say just relates with success in general man. Got to do what you haven't done before to get results you never had. Success is so simple its just hard because it's so daily and not everyone is going to agree with your lifestyle. Success is controversial because it's against the grain of whats normal is society today. So I commend you bro keep it up.

Gr8 vid. So, my 14 year old freshman son is 6'3" and is on the sophomore team. He goes to the rec center to train when he does have practice with the team. He comes home yapping about what he did, and none of what he's talking about manifests itself on the court in games. He does play alot, maybe a minute each time he does in because he's not vocal, isn't ready to move when he gets a pass, he doesn't like contact, takes forever to shoot a J. He thinks it's more physical than mental as far as what to do....he practices or trains alot. He doesn't want to watch games on TV or look at UT vids for help. My son is a high functioning ADHD kid. He's forgetful and can be emotional when criticized or in the middle of game play. Any young folks out there doing the same? Is anyone out there dealing with the same kind of kid? I don't want to use ADHD as an excuse.....it's just work that he must do other than just physical. Thanks for any comments

    Hey bro
    I love ur videos
I started playing basketball last year, and I play at a basketball prep school, and this is my first time playing on an organized team setting. I'm finding it really difficult adjusting to the team setting, and my confidence is really shaken up because sometimes i mess up plays or drop passes, and it results in my coach yelling and punishing the entire team, and everyone gets mad at me. Because of this, sometimes i avoid getting the ball in practice because I'm scared that I'll turn it over, and sometimes i dont even practice certain plays with the team because I'm scared I'll mess up. I know I'm a good player because i really put in my time and energy when no one is watching, but I'm very inexperienced compared to the guys on my team who have actually been playing for a very long time. I'm tryna become the best player, but my fear is holding me back. I really need some advice

I think confidence comes from putting in the work, and taking it day by day. That sounds like a really tough situation you are in. Start by doing all the little things that are in your control really well, and then you will gain the trust of your teammates and coaches, which will hopefully give you more and more confidence as the year goes on.
