Believe it or not, last year I played JV and barely played. I’m talking DNP’s left and right, then after my discovery of this channel, I’ve become a starter on JV and I average 11 PPG now.
This guy know his stuff he looks at everything that is important and thank you for helping last year I averaged 6 points and finally after i watched you i got up to 18 ppg so thank you The Mid range
Solid advice as usual, as I'm trying to earn the privilege of becoming somewhat of an offensive option. Btw, great choice with the ff8 bgm remix. Love that track and I've played it on the piano myself.
If you can implement these tips little by little you can definitely sneak in some very fundamental points every single game. Then you just need to develop a go to move. I love me some final fantasy, so awesome that you can play it on the piano.
Hey new guy here, just discovered your channel. Ive been struggling with how to creatively dribble when im playing, its like my mind locks up whenever i play against other players, how can i get more creative while still being to think at a high pace. Also your vids are more understandable than others, love your channel my guy.
Much appreciated. I'll do a video on this at some point, but really you just want to simplify your game. Find out where you like the ball and then you just need a way to get there. So maybe it's posting up to get to the wing, or dribbling up to get to the top of the key etc... Then once you're there you just need 1 or 2 go to moves and a counter. No need to make something up everytime. So practice these reps hundreds or thousands of times until it becomes natural.
There are channels that already do these types of videos. I'm not convinced it's a whole videos worth of content. Playing lower is really player specific and based on bio mechanics. So if you're stronger in your legs you can explode quicker. Ok fine, maybe it's worth a video. 😂😂
I've kind of spoken about this in previous videos but that's a good and more specific question. For me one of those spots is top of the key, then from there I try to get to the elbows, then the block or middle of the key. The reason why is that I have all of my moves available to me in each of those spots and counters as well. Moves aren't usually predetermined but you should have a go to move with a counter that you're trying to get to as much as possible.
Hey I got a quick question, so I'm in 8th grade and I started out the season well, I scored double digits the first 3 games, and played great defensively. But there was 1 game that I didn't score and ever since that game, my shot has been off, and I haven't been playing good. How do I get my confidence back so I can play good. Also could you maybe make a video about dunking I'm 5'10 and I can touch rim, I just can't get the ball over the rim.
Do you have game film on those games and are the defenses playing you the same? Confidence is usually something that comes from repetition so make sure you're practicing the reps you're getting in the games. For dunking you gotta get thr ball over the rim too so you're probably only about 4 inches away. I think Wright training and plyos are the best way to increase your vertical but I can't really give specific and thorough advice through text.
@themidrange thanks for replying people don't usually give feedback when I ask a question. I don't have any film, but most defenses that we've played against have been playing a 2-3 or a 1-3-1. The first 2 games it was a man press and man half court.
@@Sebolt14 ya zones can be tough to be consistent against. The best way to stay effective in a zone is to work on your game from the middle near the elbows. If you can score from there then you should have a much easier time against a zone.
Hey for me because I have to balance school and basketball I want to do really good academically and play professional basketball. It takes me around 2 hours to get home. So is 40mins to an hour of training during weekends and 8 hours on saturday and sunday good enough for what I want to achieve. I want to play college ball and play overseas.
The best way is plyos and strength. I talked about how to get stronger in a previous video but those two things are like the most scientifically backing.
@@lcf7662 yes, he often got away with just turning and dunking. I would say "rarely" used footwork to dominate. So "little to no footwork" was used for the majority of his career. Just like Giannis usually gets away with little to no footwork. Doesnt mean they arent great, its just a bad example of a a player to show that shooting or footwork isnt important because they dont often do it. You would agree with that yes?
@@themidrange I kinda agree about shaq but Giannis has good footwork and 100% uses it to dominate. Euro, spin, fake the euro like hes not just big and athletic
Hmm, I would have him in the same boat as shaq. I think giannis footwork is one of his least impressive skills. To a normal basketball player it's still elite. But watching giannis to learn footwork is like watching Shawn Marion to learn how to shoot. Yes it's effective but not because of the technique. It's effective because he's so physically dominant.
He's tuff he knows wtf he's talking about that's for sure
Thanks for that mate!
i like how this guy makes sense so much. i also like how he engages his comment section. May God bless you

How do you decide what spots to attack on the floor & are you predetermining dribble moves?

My previous video talks about this exactly. Just remember, there are no magic hard rules but more reps will almost always be better than less reps.
i scored 2 points this season
