@@ultrasonicradiation the Sony version of this tech will still require you to review these photos on a recycled Gameboy Color lcd, which explains the bankruptcy.

I want to be a filmmaker, due to financial condition and covid i lost everything, if get a camera it will help me for my entire life atleast i can make my scripts and storys to reality. Just one camera. But who cares, my passion my dreams all are drawing slowly. 😥

Excellent demo footage, I'm thinking of getting the A7iv as I'm moving back into content creation. Seems like the ideal camera for someone wanting to get into SLR body style video shooting along with photo work. Your skills are self-evident, and the colouring on your videos is superb.

Thanks for this video. Did you take everything off your hands? Does the stabilization in the camera work well? And some frames are slowed down a lot. So they shot sometimes at 60fps?
Hi, congratulations for the very interesting video. I'd like to ask you a question. For me the stabilization of a camera is very important because I make all my documentaries around the world freehand, without tripods and without stadyshot. If I had to buy the Sony A7 IV and the Sony FE 24-105mm f / 4 G OSS, could the two stabilizations, both of the camera and that of the lens, work together and in synergy? Do you think the Sony A7 IV with Sony FE 24-105mm f / 4 G OSS might be the right camera for me or is it better that I look to another camera with better stabilization? Thank you very much

It is said to be similar to the previous A7 III, but shooting with one for my channel, I havent had any situations where that would have become a problem for me. Only thing that I came to miss is 4K60 because A7III 4K25fps colorgradeability(in 8bit) was already proper moist and just beautiful. 10 bit is just a big cherry on top!

Dope A7iv footage. I have preordered the A7iv, so I am quite excited and looking forward to shooting with it. I like that you have the same attitude towards working with your camera as I do. You work with its features, not with what you think it should do. Simple, yea? The one thing a lot of complainers forget about the A7iv is that it shoots in 10-bit 4K 4.2.2. Which gives you the control in post that most Hollywood filmmakers have with their footage and expensive cameras. And it's that feature about the A7iv that ultimately drove me to preorder it.
By the way, thanks for the link to the BYLT t-shirts. They're actually well priced. The last RUclipsr that provided a link to sell t-shirts, sent me to a site that was selling them for over $100 each. Uhh, what? I would never spend that much on a t-shirt. Anyway, thanks for a great video. I am more excited for December 30th now. Cheers.

Gear doesn't matter if you have unlimited time resource. However, I think a camera like thais, with probably great low light performance and reliable autofocus, just beats manual cameras with bad low light when it comes to time spent on set. If you have a project that takes 5 days to shoot, but manage to shoot it in 3 days because of having a different camera, I would say gear does matter even if the final product delivered the same level of viewing experience to the viewer!

I’m struggling so much to choose between the A7iv and A7riv, the low pass filter on the A7iv is kind of turning me away, but that new auto focus ans more auto detect points is also tempting, on the other hand 61mp would be very nice, with no AAfilter…can’t decide, if anyone has tried both, please advise?

*Would you recommend the A7IV ($4200 AUD) or A7C + 20mm f1.8 G Lens ($3700AUD) for a first camera?* I’m looking at starting RUclips (talking at my desk mostly), and using it as a webcam for Zoom (and general social media).
I would be using Davinci Resolve for colour grading (putting on a LUT to first start), and I have a MBP 2017 w/Touch Bar. Seems best with A7c for compatibility and processing.
Will the A7c hold up for the next 5-10 years? If I’m investing in a camera I would love to have the highest quality possible for the price. Yes, content matters, but if I can control the visual quality as much as possible, that’s important too.

The Canon R5 also has focus breathing control... The 24-70 RF f/2.8 has this feature since it's release date.

If there was no crop factor, I would possibly get the Sony A7 IV, but the crop factor at 4K at 60 fps is also a deal breaker.

They crippled the 4k60 to justify the price or else it would put it too close to the A7S3 performance for a $1000 less. With the exception of the resolution loss, a crop factor isn't really a big deal. Take a few steps back from your subject and you will have the same framing as full frame at any given focal length.

Hurts real estate wide shots badly. Theres often no room for that. Events as well
its managable but it does make getting ultra wide shots in slow motion quite difficult. Wish they'd at least let us shoot FF 4k60 in SOME form....even if its gimped or 8 bit, etc.

How about test shots of the Sony a7iv 4k crop 60fps with Sony 16-55 f2.8 lens? The new Tamron aps-c Zoom lenses and the Sigma new aps-c Zoom lenses. Also, do several similar tests with Fuji aps-c prime lenses for Sony e-mount: Fuji 16mm f1.4; Sigma 19mm f/2.8; Sigma 30mm f/1.4; Sigma 56mm f/1.4.

I haven’t seen in the reviews a lot of difference in the photo side against the a7iii.

All these RUclipsrs were sent this camera to review and if they want more cameras sent to review they can’t be 100 and say hey listen the a7iii is so close to this camera it’s not really a huge jump that we were all expecting. Sony clearly nerfed the A7iv in a Canon move. It sucks because so many people were excited for this. This more of a I’ll rent it and see if I like it vs the a7iii which was drop what your doing and preorder!
