I like how this exercise really targets the Rectus Femoris. It both flexes the hip and extends the knee of the front leg.

When i come back down to sitting position, I drop without control. Weak glute max,med or deep 6?
Lack of ankle mobility and stability. When you are deep into your squat, your ankle took over in balancing and stabilising your position.

Is the anterior pelvic tilt this model is showing at its the bottom range of motion, a cause for concern?
Kinda late, but absolutely not, there is no axial loading, so unless you have serious back issues, your back position shouldn't be a problem
