"these games have something called "challenge" that it doesn't involve unequipping my gear" Circuit and Deep Archimedea in a nutshell, they are cool gamemodes, i like them a lot, but again, it's just more RNG crap like everything else, or like you said, they are just unequipping my good gear, "wow, i got this amazing Strun Prime Incarnon, but the only way to use it on content were all this damage actually matters, is praying to RNG", it's so bad.
"Braton Citradox, 2000 platinum!" I think riven prices are currently pretty stupid on the market, and this system would not only make them a lot cheaper, it would make players trying to get the most out of their rivens a lot happier.
If they added stat-locking, even if it costs >200k kuva that would still be worth it. The luck needed for certain rolls is insane. Rates on steelpath kuva survival are pretty bad without a resource booster. And for good rates on arbitrations you're gonna need both boosters and a resource blessing
Summit did a good calculations on chances to get from great to godroll rivens, and it literally takes years of farming for one. Some astronomical odds, especially since de kills every worthwhile (not really in a big scheme of things) method. Farewell ophelia, Odin, transport limbo, flood sharing and others. Probably arbitrations are next, but in order to get a decent mission for farming purposes you still need to snipe for a needed type and tileset, pray to rng that someone doesn't leave early, since spawns are correlated with players, unlike Sp, and doing without 2 boosters is not worth it as well -so still a scam.
Thank you, Sab daddy, for letting the people know what I have been trying to say for years which is I don't want to spend the rest of my life on this game trying to farm whatever it is to then not get it and have wasted my life b/c that what RNG is and does idc if I can farm it for free if I don't get it so instead like a functional human I will spend my hard-earned money on it instead bc at least that way I retain some sanity and find meaning in this enigma we call RNG but specifically warframe I have 3400hrs and 7yrs and going, and I feel vindicated no matter what people say
I think Rivens as a concept were solid but the execution and the lack of fixing them is just another thing to add onto the pile of incompetency for Digital Extremes. They've had years to fix it for the players and to fix the inflated market but they refused to budge. They nerf rivens for popular weapons but refuse to fix the riven system as a whole when it was made to help keep older weapons from falling behind, but instead it highlights how terrible balanced a lot of older weapons were. Even with high riven disposition a lot of older weapons or just weaker ones just can't keep up even with a godroll vs a basic mod loadout of a popular gun. The biggest crime of this is it just doesn't respect your time as a player. The only saving grace is it isn't monetized but even then it not being monitzed doesn't mean its saved from being a failed system that failed at it's goals, and failed at respecting our time. Riven also heavily hurts the market but DE loves to skid around that fact. This is basically our only form of "some sort" of endgame and it falls flat on that as well. I don't get why people defend it, it is inherently flawed in every way
Stat locking would be very nice I usually just use steel essence to get my kuva but it’s never rewarding to do so I’m not sure what other incentives they could give you to farm it more but giving you more of it would be a good start
Honestly, I fucking hate Kuva. I've had a Convetrix Riven that I've been rolling for the past couple of days and the BEST I've had right now is extra Toxin damage and more Crit. But the effort to get there is absolutely pain. You are right in the idea to lock in a certain stat Sabubu, it'd make life so much easier than farming for 2 days for enough Kuva to get a roll for decent stats on a Riven.
Lol I could have told you this 2 years ago after farming several million Kuva for the memes, I legit had a problem with Kuva and my clan was worried about me. I’m clean off the junk now, sold my rivens and am living comfortably with a lot of plat and a ton of floofs in my orbiter.
3:37 with the whole lock in thing imagine you get like 297% crit damage multiplier then get 243% crit chance with an added 156% damage and 3 faction mods 🤯
For the first year of rivens whenever Reb brought them up the whole dev team got quiet and starting staring away. It’s been a terrible system for quite a while.
I'm on roll 600+ for a Paracesis riven because RNG.. Lol. Fortunately, like you said, the arbys and steel path technically reward more Kuva so I'm not wasting as much time, but that's fairly recent. At least 400+ rolls was from the regular kuva survival.
I got two kuva bramma rivens in a row after the dispo was promptly nerfed to the ground and the gun was nerfed. Rolled them both like 10 times and just gave up.
Farming for ash systems so I can build the stalker ephemera IN RAILJACK is suffering because that's the only place you can get it (defense, survival rotation c, round 20 or 20 mins) PAIN
jup that perfectly sums up my favorite game that i have played for years and not anymore for about 6 months. i still get the temptation to just login and play. but i don't cuz i am scared shitless i will get stuck again in this endless frustrating loop. many little things have made this change possible. the last little one was the scoreboard changes that tell you what you did most instead of a simple analysis of your performance. the last big slowly grinding without any lubricant ever (that does not immediately "fixed") is kuva. there are only "less frustrating" ways to acquire it; never a single worth while. why? cuz having a player retention rate of 1.6% is an to overlook fact when you have 5 million registered loosers. rebecca thank you for letting the mask slip, once.
Man, to be a content creator that can talk shi- “discuss” important topics about Warframe without getting banned. I think the entire remaining player base would love if DE allowed us to get a stat lock system of some sort. I also would love if we had more ways to get more Kuva to boot. If they are going to keep the kuva rampup like this, then they need 100k kuva packs instead of 10k, they need drops of 5k on survival rather than the laughable 200 Kuva that they drop. And most importantly, we need the Kuva orb (the floating dark orb that goes to the kuva siphon) as a decoration for orbiter or Ephemera :3

hello everyone, im here for the WFPA meeting (warframe players anonymous), tomorrow marks my second month away from warframe, and i can say for sure, im feeling clean
I took a _long_ break from Warframe... to play Genshin Impact. It's startling how similar artifact farming is to Riven/Kuva farming. Total RNG bullhonkey, but dangit when you get that god-roll, the dopamine hits HARD. ...I have a problem. My hypothesis is that despite these systems being highly criticized for how absurd many layers of RNG they have, and for multiple years to boot, the devs won't change it because if they made it easier to get a good roll, the players who are dedicated enough to try and reach that point would run out of things to do and leave much sooner. It's a band-aid on the biggest issue both games have: virtually no end-game content.
As some one who spent about 9000 hours in Mabinogi over 10 years pre g22 getting my main to 25k everything basicly capped that that point. All i really can say about your opening is. Bruh your opening genuinely hits hard, and is absolutely true. All of ya vids about potential changes DE could make always are genuinely great. I never bothered with going past MR 16 because their is no real reason too. If this was made a thing in WF though i feel like i would love it but still not play the game again.
Cool vid, i haven't been playing for a long time now, as a veteran i only came back to see what the new war was about and it was mid af. Also forced me to waste platinum and time on grinding a necramech. I know that's not even remotely connected to the context of the video but yeah, what i wanted to say was, they should really make the game player friendly and "fun" cos it sure ain't. There's little to lo quality of life updates in warframe, it may seem like not a big deal but it is, the game expects a lot out of you without giving much of itself. The best way to fix that is to not be greedy and be satisfied with what you get, that's how i rolled for the 1500+ hours and got me about mr 22 (?) and i am never gonna try capping it. Thank god i was young af when started playing cos i wouldn't have the patience now. Also the whole world and design they made is cool
As someone who mostly sells rivens for plat, I would prefer if the riven system was just deleted. It doesn't fix the problem it originally set out to fix (incentivise people to use less popular weapons), and is only useful on weapons that are already good, just not popular, as well as weapons which don't have enough mod slots. Allowing you to fix specific stats in place would be better, yes, but wouldn't fix the root issues plaguing the system.
After getting a Stug riven followed by a Furis riven (not even afuris so I could have rivened dex furis fml) I decided that I was done with that system. Oh, and after 20 rolls and like 6 forma my furis still can't even do _sorties_ let alone steel path so yeah 10/10 made my furis actually good lmao
The most of the game in general never respected my time until I quit around 4 years ago. It got worse with the Plains of Eidolon. I never even made it to a point where I could actually play there and not get torn to shreds or throw pebbles at most enemies.
@@Sabuuchi We shall battle for opinionated supremacy on top of a misty mountain. My pick will still be superior, of course--but I'm willing to let you have second place.
I'm actually suspecting they were tracing all the platinum purchases and a huge chunk goes into riven purchases. So with that its basically their money milking machine I guess ?
I used to avoid it but after 5k hours there’s literally no other loot left to get besides rivens, it’s not forced but eventually you do run out of other options.
I have a riven with 300+ rolls and I still have the same roll on it that it came with. I will never farm kuva ever again. I sell all the veiled rivens I get, and I will never use them, and I will never buy them again. The riven system is shit.
In the same boat with my Proboscis Cernos. At this point it's a sunk fallacy thing. I can't give up after 1.2 million kuva. Gambling is a hell of a drug.
My beat kuva farm: 1: Ivara with obnoxious levels of efficiency, some duration, and nonexistent range. W/ arcane fury/victory or eruption! Energy siphon as well! 2: Tenet Cycron. 3: Dread. 4: Xoris. Where? Solo arbitration, or with 2 other Ivaras doing the same and a properly built and played Rhino. Why Rhino? Sometimes shit gets sideways and its always nice to have dad frame come in, put his foot down, and halt all the shenanigans! Its a snooze fest but hours upon hours of super easy arbitration. Ivara best frame.
"Grind for literal days to max roll a riven to make a good weapon great so we can retroactively change the stats so its useless" Is not a great design philosophy
Ppl have been talking about stat locking since the start of riven release sooo...maybe another 5 years and DE will care haha. More realistically though I don't think DE even needs to do that, the price of rivens are already a fraction of what they were before and since the massive meta change with explosive weapons dominating everything now a lot of rivens lost value. In the last 4 years we've already gone from extremely capped daily kuva gain with only kuva siphon missions and sortie to kuva survival with better and uncapped kuva gain to requiem kuva survival to steel path and buffed arbitration. The amount of kuva you can make now is multitudes of what you can get before and riven prices are less than a quarter compared to 4 years ago even with veiled. At this rate I would not be surprised if in a year or 2 DE would semi-backpedal nerfs and double down on power creep like they always do and release another game mode to farm kuva that's even faster. Obviously everyone knows rivens were supposed to be the 'make your bad weapons good' system but DE fucked up and made it 'grind your brains out make a shit ton of plat or get scammed', but really how many systems have they implemented that did not achieve their intended purpose? ESO was supposed to be challenging endgame content and now it's an XP farm, arbitration was supposed to be challenging endgame content and it became an endo and now kuva farm, steel path was supposed to be challenging endg...oh wait they had to specifically state it's not meant to be endgame this time because they already fucked up multiple times. Nightwave was supposed to be 'fully customisable' but all you get to customise is how many exclusive rewards you want to miss out on when you don't do that challenges because you don't need to, don't want to or don't have time. Railjack and kuva lich...we don't even need to talk about that because we all know that is the worst colossal scam of updates. DE most likely already embraced these new purpose to their attempt of endgame implementation, considering the riven system is the most replayable one just from the sheer value it has to 100% f2p players and to generate more plat needs, I don't see it being changed any time soon.
@@Sabuuchi Mostly been refering to fact that system that is weaved out of RNG, backed up by RNG, With added some hefty farming for Kuva and RNG is not really appealing, as you said and not really worth my time. I just throw those riven for quick cheap plat.

Maybe because unlike Warframe, these games have something called "challenge" that it doesn't involve unequipping my gear which took me *TIME* to get them (or the music, gameplay or worthy rewards). And I don't hate Warframe because of the time I spent (4000 hours), but because I see what DE is doing with the game (especially after seeing Jizo giving up with the game).
p2w is DE's future
@@XxX_afterHours_XxX always has been.
"these games have something called "challenge" that it doesn't involve unequipping my gear"
Circuit and Deep Archimedea in a nutshell, they are cool gamemodes, i like them a lot, but again, it's just more RNG crap like everything else, or like you said, they are just unequipping my good gear, "wow, i got this amazing Strun Prime Incarnon, but the only way to use it on content were all this damage actually matters, is praying to RNG", it's so bad.
Huh, not only did I learn that the Kuva system needs some tweaking, I have also acquired knowledge that some of Cyberfunk Bomb Rush’s tracks are out
"Braton Citradox, 2000 platinum!"
I think riven prices are currently pretty stupid on the market, and this system would not only make them a lot cheaper, it would make players trying to get the most out of their rivens a lot happier.
*sees the rolls on Sabuu's Proboscis Cernos*
*sweats at 300+ rolls on his with no good stats yet*
*cries*
If they added stat-locking, even if it costs >200k kuva that would still be worth it. The luck needed for certain rolls is insane.
Rates on steelpath kuva survival are pretty bad without a resource booster. And for good rates on arbitrations you're gonna need both boosters and a resource blessing
@Swift BMF I believe they don't, unfortunately
Subscribed for, "Time to nerf Trinity." in the description lol
0:05 yeah that entire section of Fesh Pince is about how I feel about anything relating to this mechanic
0:05 I love that YTP too sabuuchi
I really like the new direction Sab!!
I don't get why people defend it, it is inherently flawed in every way
Normal Nidus is the DEFINITION of the game NOT repsecting your time.
No that was normal Equinox. :P
@@modobo then we agree that normal Nidus and Equinox both not respecting our time.
Stat locking would be very nice
I usually just use steel essence to get my kuva but it’s never rewarding to do so I’m not sure what other incentives they could give you to farm it more but giving you more of it would be a good start
Always happy to see a Fesh Pince joke, no matter the context.
Thank you! Finally someone says it 👏
When you get good rivens for the entire set, your kuva will lie dormant and you will never use it ever again.
It'd be cool if they had steel path siphons and void fractures and made that it just doubled the amount you got / opened 2 relics at a time.
This dude gave me PTSD within 30sec just by showing Mabinogi wiki....
I'm on roll 600+ for a Paracesis riven because RNG.. Lol. Fortunately, like you said, the arbys and steel path technically reward more Kuva so I'm not wasting as much time, but that's fairly recent. At least 400+ rolls was from the regular kuva survival.
Bro Jack da Funk just came out how you puttin it in a video already
I remember when i farmed 2m kuva to roll my gram riven back in the day.
I got nothing out of it and i stopped playing for 3 months after...
I got two kuva bramma rivens in a row after the dispo was promptly nerfed to the ground and the gun was nerfed. Rolled them both like 10 times and just gave up.
I stoped playing the game but this is good content so here i am
i have more fun grinding riven slivers, steel essence and vitus essence to trade for kuva then actually doing kuva missions
The thumbnail made me think it said KURVA
When I was still playing the game I never ever, ever !! farmed kuva without double loot. It didn't feel worth to do so
Farming for ash systems so I can build the stalker ephemera IN RAILJACK is suffering because that's the only place you can get it (defense, survival rotation c, round 20 or 20 mins) PAIN
Would also be nice if Kuva Survival was available on some different tile sets sometimes or something
jup that perfectly sums up my favorite game that i have played for years and not anymore for about 6 months. i still get the temptation to just login and play. but i don't cuz i am scared shitless i will get stuck again in this endless frustrating loop. many little things have made this change possible. the last little one was the scoreboard changes that tell you what you did most instead of a simple analysis of your performance. the last big slowly grinding without any lubricant ever (that does not immediately "fixed") is kuva. there are only "less frustrating" ways to acquire it; never a single worth while. why? cuz having a player retention rate of 1.6% is an to overlook fact when you have 5 million registered loosers. rebecca thank you for letting the mask slip, once.
Can someone please tell me the name of the song that starts at 1:15?
De already did this when steel path dropped, but to many ppl were farming it so they nerfed it
@@James-9999 oh. I wouldn’t know; when steel path came out, I was like “what’s the point?” And played borderlands 2 instead
@@SaiKisaragi true yeah you used to able to get like 300 steel essence in an hour, it was honestly a shitty grind but it definitely felt rewarding at least. Then hella ppl started playing it and de decided to nerf it I guess cuz ppl were playing it to much
hello everyone, im here for the WFPA meeting (warframe players anonymous), tomorrow marks my second month away from warframe, and i can say for sure, im feeling clean
I stopped playing for a few years and was shocked by the fact that Kuva and rivens was not reworked... Insane
Kuva was named like this from polish "kurwa", a word used both in loss and victory.
damn when u said last 5 years my eyes widend... im stuck in 2016...
1:49 did you said the little bad dragon *** 😭😂😭😂
the Kuva sortie reward is a slap in the face, like DEADASS ONLY 6k.
OH SWEET, 1.4 ROLLS!
Thank you! Finally, someone said it.
So much grind.
I hope someone at DE watches it and accepts the advice
Love the new style!
I like the lock a stat idea on rivens, but the %s should also change alobg with it. Not lowering it, but making it fit on the card
Currently on roll 270 on my Corinth Riven. All I want is Crit Chance and Damage anything else can be whatever...pain
I do quite like the Kuva Fortress, actually.
That's it.
If you aren't on a list you're on one now.
@@Sabuuchi We shall battle for opinionated supremacy on top of a misty mountain.
My pick will still be superior, of course--but I'm willing to let you have second place.
You absolute maniac.
The brozime dragged out "fiiiine"
150/150 riven capacity ( slight kuva addiction )
Redeemer Riven - 1123 rolls, no joke
many others in the hundreds, including a Vulkar riven >_
I'm actually suspecting they were tracing all the platinum purchases and a huge chunk goes into riven purchases.
So with that its basically their money milking machine I guess ?
The riven system is so bad that even with 800 hours in the game I still don't touch it
I don't blame you. Luckily it's not a mandatory system. Just a bandage if you tend to enjoy dogwater weapons.
I used to avoid it but after 5k hours there’s literally no other loot left to get besides rivens, it’s not forced but eventually you do run out of other options.
Finally why no one talk about this...
To me kuva and rivens are more of a "Oh I guess I gotta spend my coins on Nora" kinda thing I do twice a year
Speaking of, what's the best stats for proboscis cernos? So far got fire rate, corpus, and infested damage
My beat kuva farm:
1: Ivara with obnoxious levels of efficiency, some duration, and nonexistent range.
They need to let you reroll specific stat lines
"Grind for literal days to max roll a riven to make a good weapon great so we can retroactively change the stats so its useless"
Is not a great design philosophy
DE might change it if rivens were meant to be something more than lottery tickets
I like the png-ified Sab
I just spent hours farming Protea but I haven’t gotten any drops yet.
Have you tried max fire rate grattler?
Or...maybe, jsut maybe.
You can sell veiled rivens and never touch them.
Ignoring poor systems doesn't get them fixed.
@@Sabuuchi
Mostly been refering to fact that system that is weaved out of RNG, backed up by RNG, With added some hefty farming for Kuva and RNG is not really appealing, as you said and not really worth my time.
I just throw those riven for quick cheap plat.
