I am a NEW Sabbath keeper and Adventist, it has been one year.
I just turned 50 years old, father of 4.
When my journey began over a year ago I had been BEGGING the Lord to ‘guide me into ALL truth no matter the cost and no matter where it led because I knew in my heart that Christianity had become deeply polluted.
At the same time I was still VERY much addicted to the political side of things and spent hours a day listening to talk radio.
My prayers were answered when I was exposed to the ‘straight testimony’ and it shook me to the core.
I now forsake politics and will NEVER vote again because, for me to do so, would cause me to sin.
Pastor Myers is speaking the truth about the 2nd beast of Rev. 13 and as a new Adventist, it is crystal clear to me and I praise Jesus for delivering me from my idolatrous practices which were a substitute for faith in HIM.
I CANNOT be a true witness of the Everlasting Gospel if my speech, or conduct, or affiliations are a stumbling block to those who aren’t ’on my side’.
My side is Jesus Christ and I want my atheist friends to have a proper understanding of the character of God which has been trampled upon by AP.
Seriously other than the fact that I'm 61 your story is pretty much my story. I found the Sabbath a little over a year ago and I've tried to tell all my friends and family. I have two sons and the youngest is 37 and has excepted the Sabbath. During the 2020 election we fought over politics, covid and wearing mask. Now we are on the same page. Neither of us will be voting in 2024. Whoever wins will be appointed by God. We've showed people over and over, literally scripture after scripture and they don't see it. The only reason I can think of is simply they aren't seeking the truth. "If you seek you will find." They need to come to the point as we did and ask God to show them the truth. Until then they will believe the lie. Much prayer is needed to open their eyes. I've been attending an SDA church for a year. It's the first one I found and unfortunately it is full of MAGA's and Trump lovers. I actually had one of the elders tell me if I want to know where he is politically "Take Rush Limbaugh and go a little to the right, actually a lot to the right." So frustrating.
I am Cuban and came to the US as an SDA kid. My family appreciates the opportunity to escape Communism, but we are clear on what this country represents. No leaders, political party, or nation is greater than God. All power and glory belong to God. We must not forget prophecy and Who the One and True God of the Ages is, and how all this will end.
We have forgotten LOVE and our CALLING. Thank you for this message!!!
Be of good courage. Thank you for this Sabbath's sermon! I turned 85 this year and am mostly home-bound, however I love studying the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy which I am so thankful for and I pray I may continue to read.Briefly, I am the eldest of 8 and have been saddened by the direction of some my own family following and going along with a leader who promises to make a better America and what seems to be attached to his message. My conversations with them has directed them toward the warnings we have of not becoming involved politically and that we need to look beyond the person to study how we need to get beyond these personalities, to draw closer to Jesus each day and continue to pray for discernment. So one has cut off communication. As the matriarch I shall continue to pray, draw closer to Jesus continue to study and ask for continued discernment myself. Bless you both and your family. I have watched you Ivor since early 3ABN days when you spoke about the entertainment industry and learned. I would love to continue the study on Revelation on 3ABN and then could not find after about Lesson 4. I knew it was going to be the depth I was looking for. Stay strong, be of good courage, may God continue to bless and give YOU BOTH, the discernment we need to hear.

My jaw is on the floor after watching this. I recently moved to Redding California to help my girlfriends family. I already had heard about Bethel before, but then I started working for a Bethel affiliated company. When I tried to quit for a better opportunity, they tried to convince me to be apart of their movement. They knew I was Christian and I was good at my job so they tried to recruit me to “bring Gods kingdom to the earth through business.”
It’s a huge movement. People from all over the world are moving here for bethel. I’m so thankful for my recent experiences because I even told my girlfriend “something is off about all this, it almost feels demonic.” And then I learned more about the seven mountain mandate. And this caught me off guard.
I love Alex Jones, I love Mike Adam’s, I like a lot of those guys in that “great awakening.” But now I know that I too have been being deceived. And it makes sense, the deception. Why wouldn’t you hate rome/Egypt with the disgusting things they do? Thank you for this pastor myers.

I like what you said, when you said " what Adventist world is this, that we don't preach prophecy any more?"....I am pretty shocked as well to the temperature of our church who refuse to eat solid food and live only milk. Trust me, I too need to eat more solid food too and grow, but we are watchman with a prophetic message. A movement to uphold the dying light of biblical truth. How strong would we be if we all understood what Noah did in his day, and that we are called to be the Noah's of our generation. May God grant us the grace to love one another enough to tell them the truth. Its not about political sides, as Pastors John Lomacang says " its not who is the white, house, but its who is in the right house"

Father give us discernment! As we progress towards the end more light will be given on the prophecy. How can you then make it appear like we know everything we need to know about the prophecies. Can we ever search out God's words? There is always more light and more things to learn. Let's not believe we know everything and think there is no more light to receive. Let's pray for each other's blindness. We don't know everything including our pastors and leader's. In the End according to sister White it's the layman who will finish this work, not the so called learned men. Let's seek Jesus individually. Blessings.

Around 1972 or 1973 I first read The Great Controversy. I was trying to figure out what to do with Ellen White. I had spent about two or three years mixed up with Christian Science. After that experience I was a little suspicious of anyone, particularly a woman, who claimed to be inspired by God. But I felt that it could be possible, and the only way I could find out was to read Ellen White for myself. So I read Great Controversy, among others of her writings. I was not disappointed. Her writings were completely different from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. Still, I was not entirely convinced. Just before reading G.C., I had read a two volume set, a commentary on the books of Daniel and the Revelation, "God Cares," by C Mervyn Maxwell. In his commentary on Revelation 20, Maxwell explained the various views within Christianity concerning the millennium. He explained that postmillennialism used to be the predominate view, but began to fall out of favor after the Civil War, and particularly after World War I, and he indicated that although postmillennialism had not entirely disappeared, nobody expected it to ever make a comeback.
So then I read G.C. It starts out as history, starting with the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. Anybody with a knowledge of history could have written that, it seemed to me, but I continued reading. I read her chapter on Modern Revivals. It sounded as though she was describing what was happening in my hometown. The Jesus Movement of the late 1960's - early 1970's was going on. (If you've seen the movie, "Jesus Revolution," you know what I am talking about) I didn't know it at the time, but my hometown, Costa Mesa, California, was the epicenter of the Jesus Movement. It was the beginning of Calvary Chapel, who was pastored by the late Chuck Smith. From Costa Mesa the movement radiated up and down the coast and across the United States. But the real mover of the movement was a guy by the name of Lonnie Frisbee, although at the time, I didn't know that. But I did know Lonnie. He was a kid in my sixth grade class. Anyway Modern Revivals described what was happening in my hometown.
But these people had no interest in ushing in the "long awaited millennium," as Sister White described the apostate protestants activities and expectations further on in the G.C. (Also read what she wrote in Desire of Ages in the chapter based on Matthew 24) These people I was encountering in my hometown were expecting to be raptured, possibly at any moment. (This was shortly after Hal Lindsey's "Late Great Planet Earth" was published) When you think you could be raptured at any moment, it seems to me that it must have been difficult to plan what to have for dinner that night, let alone "ushering in the long awaited millennium."
So I didn't know what to think. She accurately described the modern "revival" I was witnessing in my hometown, but when she described the expections and activites of the apostate protestants in the very end, it seemed to me that she was describing a postmillennialist movement. But the problem was that in the 1970's, the predominant eschatology was dispensationalism, not postmillennialism.
It seemed to me that if Sister White was correct, postmillenialism would have to come back into favor among protestants. But according to what C Mervyn Maxwell said in his chapter on Revelation 20, postmillenialism was probably gone for good.
Now fast-forward to January 1989. I was attending Southern College. I was taking Doctor Gulley's course on Last Day Events. Twice I remember Doctor Gulley stating that we could be in Heaven by Christmas of that year. He wasn't setting a date. He was just saying that God could wrap things up that quickly. I think he was concerned that some students were in need of conversion, and he was trying to reach them. But he certainly would not have made the statement if he didn't believe it was at least possible.
So I thought that if it really could be that soon, and if Ellen White was a true prophet, we should be seeing a return to Postmillennialism among protestants. But if that were happening, how would I know? It isn't likely that they would be talking about it on the six o'clock news. But I started monitoring religious programing on television to see if I could detect anything. Almost immediately I found something. I was watching Jack Van Impe's program. Van Impe was saying, "I hate those Dominionists." He went on to explain that the Dominionists -- whoever they were -- wanted to keep all of God's promises for themselves. They did not believe that the Jews were still the people of God. And Van Impe, being a Dispensationist, strongly disagreed with them.
All that seemed interesting, but I still didn't know who these Dominionists were, or if they were what I was expecting to find. But at least I had a name to investigate. Next I went to a Christian bookstore in Hamilton Mall, Chattanooga. There I found out that there had been a slew of books written, some by Dispensationalists defending their views, and others by Dominionists attacking the Dispensationalists and promoting their own views. There was a veritably feud going on between Dispensationalists and Dominionists going on in print, and the Dispensationalists were on the losing side, particularly among charismatics. The charismatics historically had always been Dispensationalists, but after Robert Tilton had read a book by a Dominion Theologist, The charismatics converted to Dominionism. Tilton, who was a famous "Name-it-and-claim-it" televangelist, had arranged for the Dominionist to present his views to about a thousand of his charismatic buddies, after which they all converted to Dominionism, which if I haven't already mentioned it are postmillennialists, just as I had anticipated because of what Ellen White had written. So Ellen White was exactly right.
Dominionism or slightly different forms of it are known by a variety of names: Dominionism, Kingdom Now, Seven Mountain Mandate, etc. They are all postmillennialists. This shift away from Dispensationalism to postmillennialism is the most significant eschatology realignment of our lifetimes, vis-a-vis the Great Controversy theme. and yet hardly any Adventist preachers or teachers are even aware of it. We Adventists have been so fixated on disproving Dispensationalism. We've been so distracted that we didn't notice that Dispensationalism bears little resemblance to the Apostate Protestant movement that Sister White described in The Great Controversy and elsewhere.

Pastor Myers, I believe you are a man of God and are searching for truth, which I greatly respect. With that being said there is a saying, "conspiracy theorists are just people capable of pattern recognition." I think people are beginning to see the "writing on the wall" so to speak in terms of government influence on individual rights. Yes, there are extreme beliefs on both sides of the political pendulum. Many on the left side are pushing for socialist and essentially universal legislation, many on the other side are pushing for more legislation based on their own religious beliefs. Both are extremely dangerous and overall both sides are pushing more and more legislation which will lead to more control of Man. Whatever one's stance on the COV 19 crisis, we can all agree that it was the catalyst in further dividing people, but more specifically believers. Legislation that was enacted during the crisis all around the world greatly affected virtually everyone, which did have very much to do with restricting individual freedoms and having a great effect on the liberty of conscience. More legislation will push away further the Protestant history of our nation. We must not forget how much the Reformers fought for our freedoms to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
I agree that the influence of the Charismatic movement is very alarming to say the least. Thank you for sharing about the seven mountain mandate. I had no idea about this movement and believe that is the consequence of abandoning God's laws and statutes. I will say that there are many messianic congregations new to observing the Sabbaths, and are chosing God's word and laws over national pride. Unfortunately, the Charismatic movement is slowly creeping into these congregations. I ask if you are led to do so, please pray for those new to keeping the Sabbaths.
A wise friend once told me, "All these cycles are how God will restore all things. Each truth revealed restores something, and this will continue until everything will be completely restored. Those who accept a truth will be given another one. Those who reject a truth will not be given any new truth."
I saw that God had children who do not see and keep the Sabbath. They have not rejected the light upon it. And at the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully. This enraged the churches and nominal Adventists, as they could not refute the Sabbath truth. And at this time God's chosen all saw clearly that we had the truth, and they came out and endured the persecution with us. I saw the sword, famine, pestilence, and great confusion in the land. The wicked thought that we had brought the judgments upon them, and they rose up and took counsel to rid the earth of us, thinking that then the evil would be stayed. CET 93.2

Hence the need of the 4th angel to give the second angels message again but with an exceedingly strong voice
