If any critic still says this is unbiblical they are intellectually dishonest… or really really slow….

    • @kylontobias
      @kylontobias 2 месяца назад +3

Is your critic still intellectually dishonest if your biggest Critic is the Holy Spirit Who inspired the Bible?
Where in the scriptures did the Holy Spirit inspire writers to say that the "transgressions," "sins" and "iniquities" of the righteous who "afflicted their souls" would be Confessed upon satan? I await the bible book, chapter and verse. Your silence would be a confession that what you claim to be biblical is actually not biblical. Does this mean that your accusation could be merely your own projection of your own intellectual dishonesty?
Notice the order of actions from the time the blood of the sin offering is sprinkled for cleansing:
(9)”Aaron shall LAY BOTH HIS HANDS upon the head of the live goat, and CONFESS over him ALL THE INIQUITIES of the children of Israel, and ALL THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS in ALL THEIR SINS”.. (Leviticus 16:21, KJV)
(Pastor Myers teaches that this is fulfilled in Revelation 20:1-3, during the 1000 years earth desolation)
The Holy Spirit is teaching that the Sins of the righteous are CONFESSED UPON an innocent live goat in Leviticus 16 which is not bearing its own sin. (1 John 1:9 - Confession of sins are not placed upon satan, but upon the LORD according to PSALMS 32:5,6; Psalms 55:22 says that our "burdens'' are to be placed upon the LORD and those “burdens'' are our “iniquities'' according to Psalm 38:4. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus calls for us to come to Him for "rest" from our heavy burdens of sin. While some people continue to say that these sins and burdens go upon Satan's head without any scriptural evidence.
(10)...”send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:” (Leviticus 16:21, KJV) (Pastor Myers teaches that this is fulfilled in Revelation 20:1-3 during the 1000 years earth desolation)
(11)..”put off the linen garments”.. (Leviticus 16:23, KJV) (EGW said this is fulfilled on Jesus' Ascension & return)
(12)wash his flesh with water. (Leviticus 16:24, KJV)
(13)”put on his garments” (Leviticus 16:24, KJV) (Exodus 28 - High Priest Robe - which Ellen White saw on Jesus in Early Writings, though He is a Melchizidek High Priest)
(14)OFFER his BURNT OFFERING, ATONEMENT for himself. (Leviticus 16:24, KJV)
(15)BURNT OFFERING of the people. (Leviticus 16:24, KJV)
(in the antitype, how is this fulfilled? Did you know that for the burnt offering, the priests had to LAY their HANDS🫶 on the ram for the burnt offering? This happened after the LIVE goat was sent to the wilderness. A burnt offering was also an offering made by fire, and it gave a sweet smelling savour. JESUS WAS THE ANTITYPE OF THE SWEET SMELLING SAVOUR WHICH was RECORDED AS fulfilled in Ephesians 5:2. This was the cross, after the sins were already placed on the living goat. How was this burnt offering fulfilled in the antitype? TWO BURNT OFFERINGS.)
(16)FAT of the SIN OFFERING shall he burn upon the altar…(Leviticus 16:25, KJV)(THE FAT OF THE SIN OFFERING WAS BURNT AFTER THE LIVE GOAT WENT TO THE WILDERNESS, SHOWING THAT THE SIN OFFERING RITUAL WAS NOT YET COMPLETE UNTIL AFTER THE LIVE GOAT WENT TO THE WILDERNESS. THE FAT WAS ALSO BURNT AS A SWEET SMELLING SAVOUR. FULFILLED IN EPHESIANS 5:2. CROSS SWEETNESS. 2COR 2:15-17)
(17)BULLOCK for the sin offering, and the GOAT for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one CARRY FORTH WITHOUT THE CAMP; (Leviticus 16:27, KJV) (THE SIN OFFERING RITUAL WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT YET COMPLETE SINCE THE BODIES WERE STILL IN THE TEMPLE. CHRISTS SACRIFICE HAPPENED OUTSIDE THE CAMP AND THIS CARRYING OF THE BODY OUTSIDE OF THE CAMP IS WHAT ALSO PREFIGURED THE CROSS. SEE THE SPECIFIC FULFILLMENT IN HEBREWS 13:11,12.
(18)BURN IN THE FIRE THEIR SKINS, and their FLESH, and their DUNG. (Leviticus 16:27, KJV)
(19)he that burneth them shall WASH HIS CLOTHES…(Leviticus 16:28, KJV)
(IF THE BODIES OF THE SIN OFFERING WERE RITUALLY CLEAN FROM THE CLEANSING IN LEVITICUS 16:19, WHY DID THE TRANSPORTER OF THE BODIES HAVE TO WASH THEIR CLOTHES AND BODY?)
      (20)BATHE HIS FLESH in water..(Leviticus 16:28, KJV)
(21)afterward he shall come into the camp.” (Leviticus 16:28, KJV)
MANY tend to show a Yom Kippur Order and attempt to show the sin offering goat as Christ, and the live goat as Satan during the 1000 years of earth’s desolation. They reason that the sins are placed on satan after the goat is killed.
Here is what they fail to acknowledge by their selective biases:
      (1)A bullock is killed.
      (2)Then A goat is killed.
(3)Then live goat carries sin to the wilderness.
(4)Then two rams are killed for burnt offerings.
(5)Then fat of sin offering is burnt on altar.
(6)Then dead bullock and goat is carried out.
(7)Then bullock and goat is burnt outside the camp.
(8)Then the person/s who carry the bodies out must wash their body and clothing.
That would mean that Jesus was killed twice before the goat bore sin to the wilderness, and Jesus is killed twice after the goat bore the sins to the wilderness. But according to the gospel:
“27. And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die ONCE and after this comes judgment, 28. so Christ also, having been OFFERED ONCE to BEAR THE SINS OF MANY, will appear a SECOND TIME for salvation WITHOUT reference to SIN, to those who eagerly await Him.” (Hebrews 9:27-28, NASB)

been Adventist all my life. I can see both perspectives, I find more biblical soundness in Jesus being my scapegoat, after reading Thunder’s response. It’s good to see another perspective with openness in my opinion. No Christian Protestant or even Catholics believe that there is no judgement..or that we should behave in a way that misrepresents Christ! I don’t know why you grouped people into this loosely gooses cheap Grace Christian camp towards the end. Brother, I’ve followed your ministry and been blessed. No evangelical says that the day of atonement is a joke.. it’s an unfortunate and unfair mis characterization. Remember, the scapegoat and our understanding of it is not a fundamental belief. Overall, thank you for presenting this study, I know it has to take alot of time. Blessings to you and those watching.. it’s a study for sure.

I’m glad you found this interesting. Do note that I did not lump christians together. I said specifically “any man” because of course we believe that God has people on all denominations. Many Christian’s however do not believe in a judgment. This is definitely the case. They believe the believer is not under judgments t, or subject to it. Being sda all your life I am surprised that you would have never heard this from those opposing our faith. Anyway, Keep studying and may God bless you as you search for truth.

@@powerofthelamb bro, I apologize, you said “any man” I certainly don’t want to mis characterize you. To respond again to judgement and other denominations.. I personally can say none of my Christian friends from other denominations have ever said there is no judgement, there is the understanding that Romans 8:1 gives us when it says, “there is therefore no condemnation to Him that is in Christ Jesus who walks after the Spirit and not the flesh”. I’ve heard people with assurance of salvation of other faiths, I am one that shares this.. I walk assured the Lord has saved me, and I don’t fear judgement.. that’s more along the lines of what has been shared with me and I share this sentiment. I also worked as a Bible worker for years and never heard professed Christians minimize judgement but yes, I agree they, and I would share in this belief, I see it being more biblical..and that is that we are indeed not under judgement.. that is righteousness by faith. However, I appreciate your response and note that we can have differing life experiences for sure and also some differing biblical perspectives here.

In the definition of Atonement, I agree with the definition given by strongs.
You used the following verses to demonstrate that atonement means to purge, and also to cleanse away:
    Leviticus 16:30 “cleanse”
    Psalms 65:3 “purge away”
    You then asked:
“does atonement only purge away some sin? or all sin?”
    You then said:
"we know how the righteous sins are purged... they're purged through the blood of the lamb" (00:08:23 - 00:08:28)
"the question is: how are the sins of everyone else purged?"
    (00:08:29 - 00:08:33)
"how are the sins of the wicked ultimately put away? ...done away with?" (00:08:34 - 00:08:43)
You then quoted Isaiah 1:28 which said:
“¶And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.” (Isaiah 1:28, KJV)
    My questions:
(1)How did we get to isaiah 1:28 if this is the final wilderness goat challenge?
(2)Does the goat that go to the wilderness bear the sins of the wicked? isnt the sins of the wicked upon his own head? Doesnt the living-sin-bearing goat bear the sins of Israel's righteous?
(3)If we are trying to find out who bears the sins of the righteous to the wilderness, shouldn’t we have gone more in depth around Leviticus 16:20-28?
(4)There is ONLY ONE INNOCENT sin-bearer in Genesis 3:15 long before Leviticus 16:20-22. (Though the language doesn’t say it, we see it in Isaiah 53)
(5)The Sins of others are CONFESSED UPON ONLY ONE innocent sin-bearer in Genesis 3:15. (1John 1:9 - Confession is not upon the serpent, but upon the LORD IN PSALMS 32:5,6; Psalms 55:22 says that our burdens are to be upon the LORD and those “burdens'' are our “iniquities” according to Psalm 38:4 that is why in Matthew 11:28, Jesus calls for us to come to Him for rest from our heavy burdens of sin. While Pastor Myers continues to say that these sins and burdens goes upon satan’s head without scriptural evidences)
    (6) IN Genesis 3:15, ONLY One Innocent sin-bearer TRANSPORTS the sins of humanity into the wilderness. (Not verbally stated but clearly, in “sinful flesh” (Romans 8:3, Hebrews 2:17), He met Satan in the wilderness according to Mark 1:12,13.
(7)Genesis 3:15 still could not explain Leviticus 16:20-22 as to who this innocent sin-bearer was. Long before lots were cast in Leviticus 16, lots were not cast to know who satan was in Genesis 3:15.

Here are some of the challenges I find with this teaching......... 1 the context provided around Leviticus 16 is that it pertained to two groups, the saved and the lost or wicked. However, the right context is that Leviticus 16 was designed for the nation of Israel, not saved or lost. Atonement was made for EVERYONE. Notice what the gospel teaches concerning Jesus Christ. 1 John 2:2 - He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 Timothy 4:10 -For to this end we toil and strive,b because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. Notice from these two verses that Jesus satisfied the debt of justice for ALL people not just those who believe in Christ. This leads to the second challenge 2 - the teaching did a lot of picture building to present Jesus standing next to Satan, inferring that it is a picture of the two goats of Leviticus 16. Again, if we go to the proper context of Leviticus 16, we find that the two goats presented needed to be identical in every way. Goats with the same health having no blemish signifying they must be good. example text is Leviticus 22:19,20 - if it is to be accepted for you it shall be a male without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats. 20You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you.... additionally, in Leviticus 16:10 the live goat (la-azazel) is brought before God and atonement is made over it. I noticed the presentation tried to use another story to make a point about atonement, specifically that purging the sin out is also atonement. Reader please note, that in Leviticus 16:10 this atonement takes place before any sin is transferred to it. This is very important because if we are going to say Satan is that goat, he would need to meet these requirements. To not make this post a book, I will add one more point concerning this challenge. 3 If Jesus bore the sins of the world, what sins were transferred to Satan if he is the live goat? Please refer to point 1 and see the clear verses showing Jesus bore the sins of the world on the cross. But also note, the prophet Isaiah saw atonement through the lense of the passover when he wrote ch 53 like verse 6 which states....All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Notice that Jesus also saw the atonement through the lense of the passover in Matthew 26:26-28 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, 28for this is my blood of thec covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Nowhere in Rev 20 do we see a transfer of sins. For Jesus there is clear texts like the one mentioned in Isaiah 53. But there is so much more like 1 Peter 2:24 which says....He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.....this is another reference to the passover lamb and Isaiah 53. One more point, I believe the presentation declared that Christ on the cross atoned for the sins of those being saved as his body was taken outside the city (camp) as described in Leviticus 16 and that only the sins of the wicked would be transferred to the author of sin. And then a statement from Ellen White was used to proved that Barabas was a type of Satan who was the live goat (scapegoat). Please reader take caution to the following discrepancy: In early writings page 281, Ellen White wrote that it was the confessed sins Israel which was transferred to the scapegoat. the quote is "Satan and his angels suffered long. Satan bore not only the weight and punishment of his own sins, but also of the sins of the redeemed host, which had been placed upon him; and he must alsosuffer for the ruin of souls which he had caused" ....Reader please investigate for yourself. God bless

You wrote: "However, the right context is that Leviticus 16 was designed for the nation of Israel, not saved or lost." Are you saying everyone in Israel was already saved? If then what was the purpose of this warning?
Lev 23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
Lev 23:29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
Lev 23:30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
Lev 23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
Lev 23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
Secondly, you wrote, "Notice from these two verses that Jesus satisfied the debt of justice for ALL people not just those who believe in Christ." But earlier you were said. "However, the right context is that Leviticus 16 was designed for the nation of Israel, not saved or lost." So is it the whole world? Just the nation of Israel? Because these don't add up.
Third, The atonement in Leviticus 16:10 does not occur until verse 21.
Third, You wrote, "One more point, I believe the presentation declared that Christ on the cross atoned for the sins of those being saved as his body was taken outside the city (camp) as described in Leviticus 16 and that only the sins of the wicked would be transferred to the author of sin." You may need to watch the three presentations previous to this. No we do not believe that it is only the sons of the wicked transferred to Satan. Satan will be punished as the instigator of all sin.

@@powerofthelamb salvation was made available for everyone but not everyone accepts it. This is not universalism in that everyone is saved, but rather the gift of salvation has been made available to all. Those verses denote our part is to believe in what the high priest is doing on our behalf. Its similar to what is stated in Hebrews 2:9 - But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In trying to understand who the sin-bearing living-goat that goes to the wilderness, we needed to focus on this verse:
“21. And Aaron shall LAY BOTH HIS HANDS upon the HEAD OF THE LIVE GOAT, and CONFESS OVER HIM ALL THE INIQUITIES of the children of Israel, and ALL THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS in ALL THEIR SINS, them UPON the HEAD OF THE GOAT, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: 22. And the GOAT SHALL BEAR UPON HIM ALL THEIR INIQUITIES unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.” (Leviticus 16:21-22, KJV)
The above verse should be the main verse to compare with all the other verses quoted.
Here are all the verses you quoted. In these verses we SHOULD SEE:
(1)AN INNOCENT SIN BEARER FOR AN ATONEMENT, INNOCENT OF THE SINS THAT IT IS ABOUT TO BEAR.
(2)CONFESSION OF ISRAEL’S INIQUITIES, SIN, TRANSGRESSION upon that INNOCENT SIN BEARER. The sins that this goat bears is NOT HIS, BUT THE SINS OF THE repentant.
(3)The INNOCENT sin bearer TRANSPORTS THE SIN to the wilderness without dying.

Is there such thing as guilty goat? When you say the gist “had to be innocent” how exactly do you prove a goat innocent or guilty? Secondly, the Lords goat accomplished every aspect of bearing the sins of the righteous away. Why would the scapegoat be needed to do the exact same things? Make that make sense for me.

@@powerofthelamb “28. ¶If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29. But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.” (Exodus 21:28-29, KJV)
The goat to go into the wilderness was without blemish and free of similar offences of the ox that gored people. The goat had horns and could have been known for goring folks. But this was a goat free from physical blemish, free from bad goat behaviour and we call it satan?

@@kylontobiasBOTH goats were without blemish. Isn't satan also going to be punished for sins? Did you listen to the whole teaching? There's no way you could have with all the scripture that was provided. Do you remember who was released when Pilate asked who should be released? Jesus/Barabbas or Jesus the Christ? One was guilty the Other was innocent....but the wicked crowd chose Jesus/Barabbas! Wasn't Jesus taken outside of the city and hung on a cross outside of the city?Be careful of the deception out here because the Bible is clear. Satan judgment for his sins and all he's caused is being cast into the lake of fire, but Jesus took on penalty for our sins as an act of love/grace. There were two goats in Leviticus.....one was clearly called the Lord's goat so the other by default is satan.

@@michellesweightlossjourney6599 what was the punishment of the live goat which went into the wilderness while bearing the sins of the repentant, which he did not commit? Also why was the sin offering only completed and accepted AFTER the live goat was sent to the wilderness bearing the sins of the repentant saved people, and not bearing his own sins?

Pastor Myers, I say this as respectfully as I can. I’ve always held you in high esteem and respected your views. Please do not take what I am about to say as me attacking you, personally. But I feel like you have gone off the deep end in trying to defend this doctrine. You have basically served only to confirm our critics suspicions. You have boldly proclaimed that SATAN is part of the atoning work. This is embarrassing. I don’t care what kind of theological gymnastics you want to pull, and biblical hopscotch trying to pull unrelated topics together; but this entire message flies in the face of what scripture plainly says Christ has done. Christ has “put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Heb 9:23.
There is no mention of the sins of believers or even the sin of unbelievers being put on Satan. On the contrary. The scriptures say of Christ: “the LORD has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all” Isaiah 53:6. I realize that you know all these things. But brother, you are not being consistent. If Jesus bore our sin, there is no use for Satan. He is a defeated foe. He lost. His head was already crushed by the cross at “the place of the Skull.”Luke 23:33. The destruction of Satan is NOT part of the atonement, that is punishment, and the two are not the same thing. You are letting wild interpretations of typology distort your view of the simple Gospel message. Typology is useful and good, but we should never use it to alter or distort the plainer texts in scripture, which is exactly what you have done here in my opinion. Please prayerfully, humbly consider what I’m saying. Love you brother.

My brother, are you really and SDA? Please be honest. Seriously, please be honest. You wrote this like you are an SDA who believes our teachings even talking about "our crtiics". I'm not accusing you of lying, but you cannot seriously mean what you wrote and claim to be an adventist, and one who knows my preaching at that. You cannot be serious. You wrote: "There is no mention of the sins of believers or even the sin of unbelievers being put on Satan." Do you agree with this statement as an SDA? Do you put any credence on the writings of the Ellen White. I ask you this because you appear to be claiming adventism, yet your entire position is totally and obviously anti-adventist. "It was seen, also, that while the sin offering pointed to Christ as a sacrifice, and the high priest represented Christ as a mediator, the scapegoat typified Satan, the author of sin, ******upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed.******** When the high priest, by virtue of the blood of the sin offering, removed the sins from the sanctuary, *****he placed them upon the scapegoat.***** When Christ, by virtue of His own blood, removes the sins of His people from the heavenly sanctuary at the close of His ministration, ******He will place them upon Satan, who, in the execution of the judgment, must bear the final penalty.****** The scapegoat was sent away into a land not inhabited, never to come again into the congregation of Israel. Ellen was wrong on MANY things, verifiably so. I’m sorry, but I can’t hold her on the same level as the Bible.
