I need to test drive one of these after it's had it's first service. Currently have a remapped Z H2 putting out 218bhp at the rear wheel and wondering how it'll compare. Epic looking bike!
@@SamVBikes You might be mistaking my Z H2 ( Supernaked) for the H2 (sportsbike) which has more go than a Z H2! I've been lucky enough to own own a few years ago but it was too uncomfortable for daily use. Supernakeds are the way forward, best of both worlds.
I know the bike well! 218bhp at the rear wheel is quite a monster though! I wonder if it's a gearing thing as the RR will be geared for the higher speeds. Definitely agree on the super/hyper naked though, great fast bikes and usable for normal riding
Do you use a packtalk edge in an arai x4 helmet? ...how have you gotten around the lack of space in the helmet to fit the speakers..I can't wear my earplugs at the same time as causes pressure on ears!
I had the same issue - any speakers (even the Sena 30k I had before) seemed to almost sit behind my ear instead of level with them, so they pushed on my ears and made it painful. I cut a small section of foam out in the cheek pad, and you can move the speakers forward to be level with your ear. Not the impact padding on the cheek, just the extra foam around the ear. Take the pad out, take the material off, cut, then mount the speakers under the material. Hope that helps!
@@SamVBikes yeah thanks... There is a recess for the ears.. It's more the polyurethane backing of the cheek pad that needs adapting.. Is that the part you're referring to... underneath all foam... I'm surprised Arai haven't considered this tbh. I've written to them..
@@percusski Ahh no I haven't needed to adjust that, its just the foam on top of that which I've cut into. Most people I've chatted to about fitting a comms to the Tour X4 has done the cheek pad trim and that's worked. I'd be interested to hear what they say about it!
The S1000R ( I’ve had 2) is soulless, it’s a great bike but it’s boring af to ride, that’s NOT a negative because it actually does everything so perfect that it’s almost robotic in the way it rides, I’ve currently got the S1000XR and it’s very…. @@SamVBikes Aha yeah , I definitely need to ride one , both M1000r and the H2 can be picked up for around 17K , I’ve sat on the H2 and it’s actually pretty comfortable, not leaned forward and it’s a dinky bike , it looks huge on RUclips but it’s not at all , I reckon the H2 would be a better road bike than the M

I've got a review on the XR earlier on my channel. It's an awesome bike, but I couldn't behave! All that power above 7k/8k rpm just meant you were doing very illegal speeds before it because fun! Well... thats for me haha
@@SamVBikes haha. I had a go on a Ninja 1000SX on Saturday. It's so tiny compared to the 1290 but the engine is soooo smooth. It was like a magic carpet. Pity it's only got 140hp and I'm 6ft 2 so too small. I'm still in love with the Lc8 engine but bloody hell it felt rough after trying an inline 4 😂
Depends how much you can control yourself. You can easily do over 100mph on any 600cc bike plus so it's a matter of restraint. Most 1000cc+ bikes will easily do that in first gear
Haha! To be honest, I don't tend to push those bikes anywhere near as hard as I would on my own. It's one thing getting caught on my own bike, but manufacturers would never trust me again if I pushed too hard on their bikes!
You can always tell how good a bike is by the GPM... giggles per mile. Lovely bike and great vid buddy
