Wow I just had flashbacks to Baron vids… miss those days lol!
Came here to say this, I miss the occasional BVG video....
These are great, but I wish we'd get one of the originals once in a while. :)
What happened to him??
@@Chris-Brauch He's just doing 44 Teeth now it seems, his last video on BVG was well over a year ago if I remember.
So is that the same dude? I didn’t know that. Lol. Lamb chops son??
@@Chris-Brauch Yup, same dude. If you go back to the very first few videos from 44Teeth, you'll see Baron explaining they were starting this new channel for reviews and to be a bit more "professional" than him just bombing around on his KTM or GSXR. I enjoy both channels, but I loved the older road trips he did on bikes as BVG. :)
I really appreciate you not holding back on your thoughts about this bike, especially while on a press launch event.
Too many non honest reviews out there. It's like they are worried if they said something shite, their privileges get provoked. Seen a couple"honest" constructive reviews from 44teeth and I like it.
Chris (at least on YT) has always been brutally honest (eg bad car accident, depression, some social anxiety etc…) and very funny - while also a whinging, egotist. That’s the draw.
Love you for your honesty!
@@mrfiftyfifty9974 because they are all sellouts!
And just like that I have summin to watch while hiding from the kids in the bog haha cheers!
Haha, same here!!!
Yep same here 😀
Happy shitting

44teeth is prime time bog viewing.
I'm sure it's an amazing bike to ride, but it looks like a generic naked Japanese bike from 2015.
Very disappointing considering BMW have always made the S1000RR and S1000R stand out with their styling in the past.
I agree. I saw it first now and I couldn’t believe it, especially the headlight
Robert, I was looking at the bike and thought...something just isn't right. You nailed it. You are exactly right about it's appearance. Stay safe.
I like it, looks like they cared more about style than trying to look different for the sake of being different. The fit and finish is still sick.
Because it is a Chinese copy of old Japanese naked bikes
Headlight makes it look like a Grom.
The catalytic converter is the size of a family sized barbecue grill.
Thank you EURO6, looking forward to the fridge sized EURO7 catalytic converters too.
Thanks for the bike loan 😁 I'm blaming you for the busted rad anyway, kicking shit up at me 💩
I hate the combined rear lights / indicators too, cracking vid as always from 44 teeth, well done guys
It would be good to see a comparison between this and the new speed triple.
yeah - we wanna get naked this summer..
Speed triple any day of the week, this looks like Chinese 125
I just did this comparison myself. The beemer is the nicer road bike. The whole bike just flows down the road better. Better low speed manners, better steering lock, better quick shifter etc.
@@lordgibbness did you make a video on it? 😁
@@MaximumProductions70 haha no sadly not! I'm not a entertaining as Chris sadly :D
such a shitty looking machine really, like all the beemers..a bit ..Haribo meets lego
Cinematography has been great lately lads, great work!
Music selection as well.
I wish it was us! 😂
@@mriegger yeah the mixing/mastering and all of that feels delishhh
@@FortyFourTeeth shhhh, no one has to know.
i always liked the look of my first gen s1000r, and it felt more roomy ergonomically than the second gen bike. This new one is clearly refined, but i feel it just all looks a bit 'white bread' compared to some of its euro competitors now. Also I cannot forgive BMW for dialing out all the little pops and crackles on decel that the S1000r and XR made on the stock bike.
You still have the pops and bangs. Just in Dynamic Pro mode tho
2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000 /w Aftermarket Cabon Wheels & Arrow System. That is my soon to be Liter Naked decision and set up.
Great review and vid as always...Bring on the naked mega test movie alongside the Superduke / V4R / Speed triple etc!
I feel proper homesick watching this - I grew up chucking a bike around the Lincolnshire back roads.
I very much dislike the new front...!
The bike is very expensive for what you are not getting.
No Brembo, no Öhlins and stille up there with the other premium brand super nakeds in price.
16:25 look at the state of the rad fins from what's getting chucked up from your own front tyre alone. Chopsies bike might well have burst itself at that rate.
That is shocking, BMW shouldn't be allowed to sell this cheaply made piece of crap !
@@buncobooth pretty concerning, wouldn't imagine these demo bikes have more than a couple thousand miles on them (if even) . Without a rad guard you could be changing a rad as a service item along with oil and filters 😂😂🙈
come on boys i want to see the news ..
wigs
growlers
i want it now
you promised us you were gonna keep doing it ..
i want the news ..
ps
love the 125 races lose a few pounds and you might not break ya wheel .. lol
i agree ,the Lockdown-Show is very good -Huge Talents !!!
i agree ,the Lockdown-Show is very good -Huge Talents !!!
Chris sounds so much like David Walliams. Listened to a podcast with David Walliams other day and all I heard was Chris 🤣
YES I have seen guards on oil coolers, just include a radiator guard on the bike! Are they worried someone will not want one?
I have been bugging yourself and statham about this bike for the last year. and finally three days before i collect my one ye deliver the revue i a have bee waiting for. great revue and now even more excited to take delivery.
44Teeth is the only channel on the tube that makes me wish I could wipe my memory so I can rewatch all the content again. The majority creating bike-related content on here is either pandering to the advertisers or afraid to say what they really think for fear of reprisals from the manufacturer. 44Teeth set the benchmark the others should strive so much harder to achieve.
Love these... but gutted they made the headlight cluster look so mundane.... I vastly prefer the odd mismatched double lights from previous years.
Yeah, the asymmetrical version looked amazing
Never a fan of the asymmetrical - and I have owned one since 2017 - but the new bike’s face looks awful. When it competes with the stunning Speed, Tuono and Streetfighter, it is when coupled to the power deficit a material issue
@@brianglendenning1632 The face looks like a cheap 300cc bike and this a a premium 1000cc bike.
@@MrRadialdrift agree. The cornering lights would be functional and one hopes otherwise better than the asymmetrical lights on the prior model (which are “adequate” with stock globes and slightly better with high output globes).
The problem this bike has is that here BMW dealers also sell Triumph.
And when you see the Speed Triple 1200 RS in the store you'll newer look at the Beemer again.
Literally just bought a rad guard for my KTM, after watching this review. Had never even given it a thought, which is weird as I took a stone to the visor yesterday. Slightly surprised that embedding the brake light in the indicator like that is even legal. Great review. Thank you, Chris.
Give us back the asymmetrical headlights, it looked so much meaner
🤪
buy after market
Yyyyeeeeesss "Sir" ,the First one for 15.500€uromony look at it best ,last year i ask in Essen-NRW why did BMW turn the beauty into mainstram-look ;the answer was "...because the actuelly Model have LED's" ....i think to myself what a wonderfull world....
@@YA-ee9zf um🤔 that cover will not agree with the 2021 Euro5 Model
Always an honest review watched a few on this nobody has mentioned tail lights or that 1995 spec master cylinder top work
Look at my gay green badge 😂
I'm probably going to buy the nissin radial master cylinder from the RR at some point and fit that to the R.
15:06 Yep. I got rear-ended on the way to Cadwell yesterday, and it was not fun. Miraculously no damage to me or the bike though.
Nice bike, hope BMW sort out the out of focus/ fuzzy dash issue 😂
Not sure if Chris comes back to it later in the video but the it looks like BM have fitted Speedo Angels dash protectors... IMO they are total toss because they add a red tint to the screen and look fuzzy at certain angles.
@@RikkyTang I think the guy is making a joke about the pixelated speedo when their going over the uk speed limits 😂
@@keilow885 ah.... oh yeah 🤣
Great review Chris 👏seems like your the only vlogger who's not going along with the MSM Charade 👍
Cannot believe that lighting set up at the rear. Dangerous I say... How bizarre to think they were ok'd for the UK like that. Even more so when you see that Ducati had to have a different set up for the front indicators on the new Monster for the US market.
Great vid though!!
Just brought the new super duke, I was worried about the release of this bike in case I made a mistake but I definitely did not 😂
A BMW shouldn't scare a Super Duke owner. The only bikes that compete up there is the Aprilia Tuono and the Super Duke in my opinion.
@@NekkeDeez very different beast, there really isnt anything comparable to the Superduke as there is no other big V-Twin hyper-naked on the market. You want a fast super-bike with upright seating position? You get the Touno. You want an absurd torque-machine that scares the shit out of you? Get the SuperDuke.
@@2ane They are very different beasts, and I'm not comparing them. They're just the only bikes that compete in that "category" in my opinion.
What I'm saying is that, the Tuono and the Super Duke are the bikes that get me excited.
@@2ane Or you can have the fastest accelerating super naked [while pulling bonkers wheelies] of all in the Kawasaki ZH2.
@@fyorbane Its just so freaking heavy, i get why some people would prefer an inline 4 and im sure the compressor makes it a thrill to ride but the SuperDuke still has some more Torque and weighs considerably less. Not saying its bad but its once again completely different.
Cracking review video Chris, you three boys are smashing it at the moment
GoPro needs an appropriately high read/write speed.
Great review!
I think the channel gets better and better.. Honest and fun and interesting in a "megagood" way..and made by "real" people😃😎
Having a poo and this pops up? Is it fate ?
It is.
The new flat bars are very nice, may have to mod my old R1000
I tested this today! I found it much more fun, and a better road bike than the new Speed Triple. This might be number one on my list to buy now...
The exhaust collector box is a ghastly mess. It's almost like they forgot to finish the bike off. BMW takes some tips from Ducatti.
The last front was disgusting? Wow, you have no style. The asymmetric BMW styling was bad ass. I would say that this front end is as boring as a suzuki GSXS1000, but Suzuki have resigned the front of that bike and it looks awesome now. So congratulations BMW, your last version of this bike was a good bike, but boring and did not stand out, so on this one you made it even more boring. Why would I buy this over the Aprilia, KTM, or Ducati. If you say for value, then why would you buy this over the Yamaha? At least the Yamaha has some soul. Yawn.
Chris is my favourite 44t reviewer the others are shit.
I joke of course the others are great.
Might be it's because he's not coming from a journalistic background.
I like that he's not afraid to be brutal in what doesn't work for him.
Baron is 1st. Mossy is second!
The new S1000R is the best bike.... IN THE WORLD! I LOVE it! Exept the part that with the keyless ride option you still have to use the key to unlock the gas cap. That`s not very thought thru just like the tail lights. I love this bike and one day i WILL own one! Till then my GSX-S1000 serves me well....
Love the intro!! Nice!!
Looks like you really got on with the bike. Wouldn’t be surprised if you bought it.
Thank you! Excellent review!
Genuine BMW rad guards are available, the same ones fit the S1000R, RR and XR, just pay a few bob and fit them, no big deal.
I wonder what did the designer smoke while designing that headlight/front end?
It doesn't have the shiftcam so it does lack a little bit in the top end, but that is to be expected for a streetbike? Aprilia, KTM, Ducati, ZH2 don't seem to lack top end. I was slightly interested in this bike, and then I found out they left out shiftcam, and then this bike died in my mind.
I enjoyed the more casual voice over at the end vs. The “M&S food advert” voice overs the videos often get.
Imagine putting an open radiator core on a car? My 1995 Daytona 1200 came with a rad guard, oil cooler guard and rear wheel hugger as standard, granted they were plastic but they did the job and 26 years later still do.
What’s happened here then?! That was a very honest, pro review. Not that the previous ones weren’t but somebody seems to have stepped up the 44teeth “not fucking around” level.
Nice to see some roads from my neck of the woods.
Agree it's a lovely dash. If only they didn't position it so damn low down. Come on BMW, just take a look at the SuperDuke for how it should be done.
Meh, the super dukes fugly
Beautiful review as always. The BMW is still a bit bland and missing character. Really not liking the negative changes you pointed out. And still no shiftcam engine kind of sours it for me.
It's a bloody good road bike. Just tested it today. Such a fun bike on the twisties and on open dual carriageways. Quick shifter is so smooth. It's pretty raucous when you open the taps. I enjoyed it a lot!
Entertaining👍........entertain me some more NOW! You’re right about that rear light set up a right dogs dinner.
Great review Chris
Am really considering this as my next bike. I'm a Triumph fan boy but goddamn this thing is imo a perfect 'Road' bike.
Not going to lie i'm missing my weekly updates, maybe a podcast to rival are very own northern lads, you know the champ and tree bloke.
P.s dom's a champ to really for going near that island, massive 🥜 for sure.
In my neck of the woods there. Great roads between wragby and bardney too (where you were ranting about hazard lights)
Well done Cwiss lovely review as always .
Good to see you finally doing a bike review Chris, feel like its been ages. Enjoyed it mate. Would love to see a group naked bike shootout.👍
Flat bars may spoil filtering a bit, but would still have one in a heartbeat.
Looks like BMW has taken it's styling queues from Suzuki and honda 🤦
Older Suzuki’s and Honda’s! Lol
You guys really need a comparison between this and the new GSXS1000 to see whether all the toys on the beemer are worth spending the extra money on.
Think of it as a slobs Vs snobs movie for bikes.
Great reviews & detailed info as always! Nice work :)
Chances of a hyper/super-naked shoot out on UK roads chaps, sponsored by Bridgestone, featuring the British roads and weather? I think this is the year for it!
Always looking forward to your hilarious fake german accent when doing a video on a BM DOUBLE W Motorrad. Never fails to make me laugh haha
you can tell we are of a similar age. love the review Chris - thanks
When you testing the mt09 twin?
Totally agree those indicator "braking" lights are dangerous. BMW sort it!!!!
They won't, they rather you are torn to bits and ran over by a 1000 German cars! They just want your money!!
Nice to see the Grumble go around my local circuit and Sunday roads
Definitely has me looking forward to these roads with some sunny weather at the weekend!
I hope you got to enjoy the roads around cadwell, best roads in the UK around the wolds.
Nice one Chris, really professional feedback yet still entertaining! I wonder how will it stack against speedy 1200rs
Rode one two weeks ago on a road test. Vibey and uninspiring. Prefer the Tuono- loads more character.
Nice. I have the 2016 model and will never get rid of it.
Id rather that model, ive a 2016 tuono factory. But to me yeah nicer front end but cons out weigh the pros i think
streets ahead
I just want BMW to do a crossplane engine for their supernakeds.
Is it wrong that I'd rather the old one regardless of the money
The old one looks like 3 times better that headligjt on new one looks like a hornet 250
Please try to keep the GoPro lens clean. Picture was blurry around dash - particularly when you were going fast!
After pretty much deciding this was going to be my next bike and waiting for a demo to confirm, I had a short test ride i am pretty disappointed in the bottom end compared to previous gen. Going to buy a used gen 1 i think :(
Instalike before the intro was even finished! I waved back to Baron!
The coulors are straight out of 1989.!!
Love the intro music by the way. Class act.
What is the name of this intro tune.
Very nice 👍
Don’t worry about beeping out the coarse language. The descriptive cursing adds flavour - like some mint on a lamb roast 👌
GoPros usually get choppy when the SD card can't keep up with the recording. Depending on your SD card age, it may be dying or have errors
I'll have to test this out with mine, I get some weird flashes of colour now and again. It's either this or my camera is dying slowly and prematurely.
GoPros are distressed by other GoPros falling off their humans
Yes, you want to have the best SD card possible, so don't skimp on cost there.
At 0.16 you catch a glance of the radiator and I thought to myself 'That looks like a major oversight'. 5 minutes later..
Blame the EU for the welded-together-exhaust system. A full aftermarket exhaust system is $$$ compared to a slip-on or a cat eliminator linkpipe. Shame. And it's also tail tidy resistant? Meh. Not a big fan of the looks either. Too much BMW, too much of an engineer's look. A supernaked should radiate muscle, fear and badassery. This doesn't. It looks too nice, and not awesome.
Nothing a hacksaw can’t fix. That’s how the slip-on for my 1gen SV650 was installed.
@@wrxguyusa Impossible to return to stock though, which matter to some people. This will discourage those people.
About the exhaust unable to put a slip on is inaccurate you can and also can decat it with standard akra end can
Non-press pass translation: Competitive value at $12k, but a turd at any other price + still needs taillights.
13 grand bike at best.
As soon as I saw a 44T BMW vid I knew it would be Baron Von Guten Tag at the helm
As a general rule of thumb, the coolness of handlebars is inversely proportional to their comfort
Except for cruiser bars, they are shit in both aspects
It's much better than you'd think. Go have a sit on one.
Best review of the new S100R by a mile - well done Chris 👍
The people designing new SUZUKI GSX-S 1000 should have waited to release and tooking notes for how light bmw S1000R is
Your footage has improved so much in the last few videos I feel. Never had an issue with it before, but it is especially good now in my opinion. Keep up the good work guys! Top notch
It's lovely to hear the Baron sounding so cheerful.
“These are all extras...” With BMW that means extras like the engine, gearbox, seat, pegs, handlebars, brakes etc...
Was very surprised to see my local twisties- p.s if anyone in or around Lincolnshire wants to ride them, I would highly recommend going!
Is this not the 2022 model? The colorways of the bike shown in the video match the colorways on BMW's website notating 2022
Biggest question is does the machines frame on the left side get super hot like the old outgoing bike. Here in Florida that heat on the left side was unbelievable. Hopefully not..
Sue, always so easy to listen to - by far the best presenter of them all.
Well done, BMW. Amazing bikes as always. If only owning one wasn't such a huge pain in the ass.
Dam your right about that brake light
