Awesome tutorial! Really nice jewelry! I’d love to see more UV jewelry videos! You’re a great teacher! It’s nice to know why or why not to do certain things!
What I've found with the uv resin is if it doesn't cure, just leave it in the sun by a window or something for about half an hour or however long. The light will cure it, even on a cloudy day. (as I found out the hard way lol didn't close the blinds bc it was cloudy, and my resin cured in the little pot before I had a chance to use it. Haven't made that mistake again 🤦) It does help with some stubborn pieces I made with a combination of uv art resin and uv gel polish. It just didn't wanna cure, so I left them out and the next day, they were done.
@@JavaCrazy54 yes, I do. I've had mixed results, mainly because I was just experimenting at the time. If you use it properly and sparingly, it usually works. It's if you don't that you get pieces that don't turn out how you wanted them to. A few I managed to recover/fix, but there have been some I had to bin bc it was completely unfixable. That was on me tho, not the inks, imho. It does work, bc I've seen ppl doing it and it turns out just fine. I'm just not that their level yet. 😅
I started doing these a couple months ago. Real fun. Next time I will do layers like you said. Maybe that was my problem with some of them. Lol All these are really pretty👍
Would love to see more uv resin. You did a great job showing how to use and make the jewelry. Where did you get your up resin and different stones, colors and sprinkles from. Would love ❤️ to get started making some jewelry?
When you work with resin, do you wear a respirator mask the whole time, or do you only need to wear it when mixing resin. I'm a beginner with epoxy resin.
Wow I luv these. I always liked these type of necklaces and I had no idea how made etc. Beautiful & thanks for sharing xd - Yes more resin Jewelry videos please
Do you still have to wear a respirator when using this UV resin? I can't have use regular resin because of my pets, but this seems such a fun thing to do. Also, do you need this big light thing, or is there an easier way of curing the resin? Thank you.
From my experience, you don't *have* to wear a respirator as long as you are working in a well-ventilated area, but wearing one and using other PPE like gloves is always beneficial. You can never be too protected! 😁 It differs between brands, but I've worked with several UV resins over the last few years, and they are pretty odorless until the initial curing under a UV light. It's then that you can actually see vapors rising (and smell 'em) as the liquid resin heats up, but that generally lasts only a minute or less. Regardless, I advise not be too close to your piece during that time because of those vapors, and also not to look directly at the UV light while your item is curing, if you're using a setup like here on the video. Now, you don't have to use a UV light like this - you can also use a smaller UV flashlight/torch, and your item will cure in sunlight. However, both of those methods take longer, depending on the amount of resin you're trying to cure. I hope that helps a bit! 😁
Hi I just think this is beautiful can you any kind of resin i am asking because my granddaughter give me for my birthday a bottle with other things since i am a beginner hope you will answer me soon i what to make some earrings to give to my granddaughter thank you for this tutorial i just love how well you explain
I have 2 500ml so uv resin that I haven't even opened, it's over a year old,I got it with my jewelry molds ,and then I tore my rotator cuff and had 3 surgery was in a sling over a year total,I am now just getting back into my mixed media, ugh plz don't let me find out its gone bad
You’re incorrect on this video regarding using regular packing tape. As it is not good to use as it leaves is resin on it and makes it impossible to have clean clear finish. Just sayin. Thanks for the video though !
Love the video . Definatly would love to see more. Just a question on the safety of resin. As I had a bad reaction when curing . ( immediately bought a double filter mask for chemicals and eye protection, as my eyes burned so bad and dry still not recovered and gloves of course ) do you wear any protection against the resin apart from gloves .
this is a nice change up...yes would like to see more on uv resin. Thank you MMG for this fun video.

Isopropyl alcohol

Why can’t you use alcohol inks with UV resin?

No need to uv hardner?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean

If your UV resin is "tacky" after curing..you can wipe the piece with 91% isopropyl alcohol and that will work.
Supercool
Why can't you use alcohol inks?
Because the UV resin won't cure well
@@MixedMediaGirl ok. Ty
Green colour tape name
No idea, it came with the pendents. You could probably just search uv resin tape 👍
