There are a ton of videos on how to fix little things on these trucks such as your keypad not working and your broken spring in your cup holder. Most are super easy to fix.
I have a "Heritage" supercab 2004 with a 6.ft bed. I beefed up the leaf spring as it's carrying a 1200lb camper. What a diffence. Just picked it up today. Not cheap here in Alaska but nothing is. Great little V-6 truck. BTW my little gem has just turned 84,000 miles. Owner was a mining engineer and spent most of his time at Red Dog mine. Hardly drove it.
That's awesome! These are great trucks indeed and I have learned a lot about them and have learned to appreciate them way more than i used to before I owned one.
Already starting to! After replacing every single component in the suspension it was a little stuff at first but the bushings and shocks have broken in and it rides much better. I also put about 300 lbs of weight in the bed. Just my tools and jack and so on and it helped a lot.
I just recently subscribed so idk much about videos or really info on videos but I was wondering would u like to sell ur tonneau cover once u get a replacement top for ur truck?
Agreed. I've had this one for a year now, I've worked on several other generation F150s at work, and I'm lining mine more and more. Just this past weekend I hauled about 1000 lbs worth of cargo. Truck didn't even care. I was expecting a different result seeing that it's on original springs and has been used to haul heavy loads in the past. When I bought it it had a trailer hitch that seemed well used, helper leafs, and trailer brakes. So it's been put to work for sure.
Awesome vid dude. Always been a fan of the 10th gen styling. Although there are some questionable things about these trucks, they still look good and ride well.
Thanks! I actually hated the look of these before I bought this one. It grew on me and now I actually like them! I used to prefer the square looking ones. Whether it was the older generation (still my favorite of them all) or the newer ones.
Never had a leriat but I have had a 1st gen Eddie Bauer expedition and that’s what my interior looked like. But I had the wood grain package and a dvd player head unit and a 18 inch drop down screen with a PlayStation 2 hooked up! It was mainly used as a dvd player for the back but I did keep so,e games and a pair of controllers in stowage
I'd love to get those headlights for my truck too! But I don't like how they stick out of the trim compared to the stock ones. I think I saw pictures of people who had them professionally installed where they we able to fit them in better. I got a 2002 Supercrew FX4 XLT. I wish mine's were a lariat, but not much different except for the seats. One thing I do got that you don't is the rear sliding window! But they are kinda finicky and I have to mess with the power switch before the window actually moves.
Haha nice, I wish mine was a King Ranch but like you said not a huge difference. And as for the sliding window, I really wished mine had it when I first got it but then I found out how much of a hastle they can be from other people's forum posts and videos, so I was then glad that I had the solid rear window instead. Kinda wish I had a sunroof though, the King Ranch does. But yeah good truck overall!
I pulled up the seal on the top of the windshield and put a bunch of silicone under the seal. Then I squished the seal back down into the silicone. Worked great!
@@Userwasname I don't remember what brand I used, but it doesn't really matter. Just buy whatever you want as long as it's made for outdoor use so it can withstand the heat and the cold as well as the UV rays from the sun.
They're TRQ headlights, 1 piece assemblies with projector low beam, black housing, and an LED running light. I linked them in the description, thanks for making me think of doing that haha
I got it through work from an auction. It was rough but fixed it up for the most part. Still working on it but it's slowly getting better. It's now my daily and the family vehicle lol It's not what i want long term but I have grown to like it. Still ready to sell it for the right price at any point though.

Yes there are!
@AutoFixYT Whats wrong with the keypad?
@@kykrazy6050 nothing, works great!
Nice truck bud! LEDs are a must on these older trucks. I do like those lights!
Thanks! Yeah old vehicles have crappy lighting lol gotta upgrade.

@@AutoFixYT Great little trucks. Good luck.
Not to bad, with little love it will drive like a dream

@@AutoFixYT late 70’s is still the best looking gen 👌🏼
@@NotSoHandyCarGuy oooh yes indeed

Haha fancy, that's pretty cool!

I like the lights! I wanna get some for mine but I suck at wiring.
Love the headlights. Might get a set for my 2002
Totally worth it, with the bulbs I put in they are amazing!
Nice truck!!! Fog lights however are not stock.
Thanks! They were replaced with new ones but still OEM style
I got rid of my Ranger and got a 2003 F150 as well
Nice!
What headlamp assembly are those? I'd love to replace my headlamps
I got them from 1AAuto.com
I got a bed cover for this exact truck. Mines an white XLT. If youre still looking for one respond to this and we can figure out everything.
Thank you for the offer but I'm all set actually!
You didn’t show us how to change out the low beams
This isn't a headlight bulb replacement tutorial, but I'm sure there are others you can reference if that's what you're looking for.
What size of tonneau cover you got on this cuz I can’t find it I have same truck but king ranch model
Look on 1aauto.com, that's where mine is from. They have all different styles and sizes.
I have minor leaks from the windshield passengers side when it rains hard, how did you go about repairing it?
I pulled up the seal on the top of the windshield and put a bunch of silicone under the seal. Then I squished the seal back down into the silicone. Worked great!
@@AutoFixYT Going to give it a try soon thank you! Also any kind of silicone did you use a specific brand?

Not worth more than $3000......
I paid way less, also in my area these go for $5k or more in this condition. But I'm also not done fixing it.
They go for way more in north Tx, especially in that condition.
Hard to get anything that runs at all these days for $3000, let alone something that’s actually dead reliable and useful
I have a 2002 and was offered $7500. Not sure where you can get a truck like that for $3000??
