This video is really educational. I hope folks in similar situations learn that if you're bringing in a high-mileage vehicle and you're not addressing the cats, you're not doing yourself any favors.
I got long tube headers, no cats to 3" y pipe to 3" single out in front off rear tire with 4" magna flow tip. Loud but sounds absolutely amazing. Best sounding set up I've ever heard and have heard hundreds of different set ups. Won many awards at shows for it.

Best thing exhaust wise that ever happened to my 04 f150 with the 5.4L 3v was that someone🤫🤐 stole all 4 factory cats and i had to put 2.5inch pipe from the headers down into Y pipe, then 3 inches out to a magnaflow 3in in 3in out muffler. Really woke up the truck.

Tbh. #6 sounded great, #5 sounded decent but needs to be clean when it comes to rasp, #4 sounds really clean, #3 sounds absolut perfect, #2 has some nice pops to it when reving it, and #1 is too loud in my opinion but could be better if it was quiter just a little bit
These trucks sound totally different without cats on them.
I have long tubes on mine and im just looking for an aftermarket muffler 3" in 3" out trying to see what i like
Truck number 4 is such a clean truck, 10th Gen f150s are so underrated. 5.4 with some trick flow heads and intake with some good cams will dust an ls any day 👍
The 18” cherry bomb on #3 was probably my favorite
99% sure number 1 is a 6.8 V10
Glad you guys did this video. I just got a 97 xlt with the 5.4. Absolutely love it and trying to decide which route to take with the exhaust.

All sounded good to me,it was just how they went about placing the tips i didnt like
“Is it supercharged?” “Nah just the Badges”. Who are these people that upbadge? It’s never made sense. Because it doesn’t impress people who don’t know and it pisses off people who do no. Literally what’s the point? Just be happy you have something nice. Don’t fake like you have something better
They probably just like the design of the badge. That’s my best guess. Very odd when I see hellcat badges on lower versions of the Charger and Challenger
Not as loud as this stuff, but a Gibson swept side 3" system with the muffler put in backwards fit the bill for me.

@@4.6_trent_777No good exhaust shop is going to touch the cats. They can get in a lot of legal trouble for doing so. Unless they’re already off, they won’t do anything with them.

I have a 2002 Ford F-150 Kingranch 5.4 that i love, but after rebuilding the intake 3 times, it still wont run right and dumps coolant in the engine due to my third pair of intake gaskets failing.. 😞 also my third truck thag wont run right and im 18, married, and we have no other vehicle..
Sounds like more than intake gsskets
@kingtee94 it was, I replaced them and she's been much better. She runs quite rich now tho
