Yes and they keep their current partner hanging on to torture them a little longer, all the while they are lining up and flirting with their soon to be new partner. And the pattern repeats with each partner. The narcissist forces the discard so they can then legitimise going straight into the arms of a new partner supply, telling them that their current partner abandoned them or they just kind of drifted away. It's sickening how the narcissist will hurt many good people in their life's.
