What he didn’t expect however, was just how many people like him there really were. And through his words and actions they all saw a piece of themselves and were inspired by him. To them Arthur wasn’t a deranged lunatic, he was a victim just like them, and their hero for letting himself be heard. It’s a terrifying reality and really shows the lives of the 99% rather than the 1%.
The actor driving the police car is the same one that got killed in Scorseses irishman by Sally bugs. Both times he got killed surprisingly. I think nobody noticed that Easter egg.

The actor driving the police car is the same one that got killed in Scorseses irishman by Sally bugs. Both times he got killed surprisingly. I think nobody noticed that Easter egg.

Joker was first viewed according to wikipedia August 31st, 2019.
IrishMan was first able to be viewed around September 27th, 2019.
It takes a few years to make a movie depending of course on the movie and The Irishman apparently had some sort of Development hell. Regardless movies releasing less than a month from each other means neither took inspiration from the other and neither could include Easter egg scenes related to the other.
So it is not my opinion that this wasn’t an Easter egg it is a fact.
