I used to work at the restaurant when it was a bar from 2004 until 2013. The bar was an old speak-easy in the prohibition years. In the basement, there was a very large square shaped manhole. Very spooky down there. Rumor has it that people were murdered there and then were put in the manhole in the basement which led to a creek behind the buildings. I never personally saw ghost but sometimes I would get an very eerie feeling.
You're lucky they just told you to leave, that's a rather rough area of kcmo. That hotel even while in operation was a well known crack den and several murders happened there.
Great video!! Thanks for sharing. I love the photos and video. Drone footage just tops it off. That motel is one creepy place. To bad it’s demolished now. I would have liked to have gone back again.
Like you, I heard the "occupant" and it was to cold to explore when I found this place. Then a few months later, I was just down the road and they saw that they were bulldozing it. I asked the lady at the car lot nearby about the place...she said there were a few prostitutes killed there.
The one that was at Paseo and Independence Avenue was a rent by the hour place for a long time. Haven't been over there lately. Not sure if it's still there. I'd never heard of this place. Thanks 👍
I was always wondering if someone wandered this place. I live up the street from there in raytown and consistently drove past it. So many shootouts and murders happened on that street its ridiculous.
This date's further back than the 1980s it's been around forever, there was Oscar's and LCs bbq down the street and a great bar but don't remember the name
😂😂😂 really I know more about this motel than you do you didn't even go inside lol I grow up around there LCs BBQ down the street can't think of it but it used to be another barbecue place close by and a bar and grill

Noooo flip flops dude for real. You’re totally fucked if you have to run or trudge through unsafe areas.
Another Amazing find !! Would love to know this location .. Will be checking into it ... Great Job .. Be safe always!
Sorry to disappoint you but it was demolished yesterday.
sign in the window said, 6305 Blue Parkway.
It may have reopened in 1985, original motel dates to Pendergast Era. It was just outside city limits, so anything went.

Across the street on the corner of Blue Parkway and Eastwood was another motel.
Isn't that the trailer park?
@@ShowMeMo the trailer park is on the northeast corner. The motel was on the northwest corner. It was kinda built into the hill.
by the way, this is about 3 miles from Arrowhead stadium.... go chiefs.....
That used to be a club to
Really? I don’t know that. Thanks for sharing
