@@nishiketubhayakar5870 when someone has a sibling who causes them much grief, they feel guilty when they die. There is finally peace. My parents died, it is hard for me to be sad especially for my father. He seemed so happy and full of joy when he died. It is hard for me to not want him to have that. Around his birthday or holiday. I will get little reminders he is still with me.
My own karma problem, I didnt meet the good friend before but I meet the internet teacher - Long Por 🙏 teach the dhmma 🙏 ☺.

What a great points in regard with true friend. I only have handful of friends from very young age. Being truthful is so hard for many. Realized this world is like a play where most people are toxic and fake. He said one thing that strikes me ...a friend who has emotion towards you without judgment and discrimination. Yes, it hard to find person like that but if you have it's a total blessings.💕🙏

How true. How wise. I am very old now and have been lucky to have had good friends. Now my friends have passed and I am alone. I am unable to meet new people. I miss it a lot but I have hundreds of letters which I treasure. Reading those if making me sad also comforts me. I do love this video.
My experience tells tell me that it is very difficult to find someone having these qualities in the present time of Kalyug. In other words you have to upgrade yourself to be a good friend of someone.

I believe people generally tend to be a good friend if you are one, even if that’s not how the friendship at the beginning.
I believe if you show this 7 quality to your friends, you will start seeing them from your friends as you grow together.
Happy to hear these signs. On the other side, I don't know if you can add one more sign: a good friend is one who will be truly happy and be with you in your success in life. I say this becauae, to my thought it would be easier to be with a friend who is in need than to be genuinely staying with a friend who succeed in life and being happy. A fake friend on the other hand will be envious of your success and will not be happy of your achievements.

Most people have imperfections. As a friend you can inform person to overcome their problem of jealousy. Sometimes we don't see yourself.
yes, there is another text in which the Buddha describes who a 'warm-hearted friend' is this way:
1. he who is a helpmate:
(i) he guards the heedless,
(ii) he protects the wealth of the heedless,
(iii) he becomes a refuge when you are in danger,
(iv) when there are commitments he provides you with double the
supply needed.
2. he who is the same in happiness and sorrow:
(i) he reveals his secrets,
(ii) he conceals one's own secrets,
(iii) in misfortune he does not forsake one,
(iv) his life even he sacrifices for one's sake.
3. he who gives good counsel:
(i) he restrains one from doing evil,
(ii) he encourages one to do good,
(iii) he informs one of what is unknown to oneself,
(iv) he points out the path to heaven.
4. he who sympathises:
(i) he does not rejoice in one's misfortune,
(ii) he rejoices in one's prosperity,
(iii) he restrains others speaking ill of oneself,
(iv) he praises those who speak well of oneself.
I am not that fortunate to get a good friend in person but i found a true friend in my Guru God and parents for sure😇🙏

I lost my best friend, he was faithful and true to the end..He knew when I was feeling down and he comforted me, he lay by my side in silence and stared at me with eyes full of love..how I miss my four legged friend.
True friends are far and few in this world. I had two people who I considered my true friends and family. They are both in Heaven now and I miss them. I have no one who I can talk to, like I was able to talk to the two them. I miss them every day but I know they are both in Heaven watching over me.🙏💙🙏

same here. I also have two "true" friends that "have all of the above", but have passed. I have many friends, but I know they are not "true"....I call them acquaintance(s). Some only call when they need help or something. I miss my "true" friends 😪💗🙏

I learned that really quick when I got sick and couldn't do everything for everybody else anymore. They don't even call to see if I'm alright. I just learned it's their own character ungrateful, selfish, disrespectful and unappreciative. I rather just be alone then to be around fake friends who talk badly and spread rumors and lies about me behind my back. I rather be alone. I can do bad by myself.

I find that even people you didn't get along with years ago ( ie: bullies in high school ), if you run into them years later, they seem to be happy to see you. I've had that happen a few times. So deep down inside everyone is your friend, or no one is your enemy.

I have a precious, dear friend of 30 years who is terminally ill. She has always been in my corner, I consider her my Angel. We have always uplifted each other and never have had an angry word between us. She made be a good mother to my son. She is the best person I have ever met. I will do anything for her. My heart is breaking because her physical presence will soon be taken from me. She promises to come back to me as a dragonfly to reassure me she is watching over me still. I thank God every night for sending my sweet friend to me just when I needed her.
