"it was my man Higgins' idea" - he does a great job at making everyone feel important and that they're an integral part of the team
This is also the point where Higgins is done with Rebecca's plan and joins the team

Knowing more about Jamie's backstory makes this scene, where he shows vulnerability and finally connects with the rest of the team (even starting the 'Richmond til we die' chant) that much more tragic. Ted finally had a breakthrough with him, and then Jamie is immediately traded back to Manchester, thinking he was abandoned by Ted. Not to mention going back to Manchester meant having to be around his dad again. Glad Jamie eventually came back around, learned from his mistakes, made amends, and had a chance to reconnect with the team in Season 2.
U forgot to mention that when he came back around that he knows ted did not abandon him and was set up
I always forget with how powerful Rebecca's turn was how she was so adversarial to the idea of the team succeeding in the first season
What was the meaning of Rebecca throwing off her coat to the ground, I wonder
Possibly a metaphor ... she's shedding her outer, protective layer and getting ready to be more open with Ted, the staff, and the team.
The coat meant belonging, and by throwing it off and walking away, we can see that Rebecca still wasn't ready to let go of her vengeance against Rupert, a fact that was made even more clear when she transfered Jaime to Manchester City in the following episode.
@@jules7626 Yep, that's my read. The team are all wearing the same jacket, a symbol she rejects as she leaves the pitch.

It was right after this Rebecca got Jamie transferred and that almost ruined all of the momentum being made on his redemption.
