Hannah Waddingham has great facial expressions. You can clearly see what the character is thinking and feeling though the most subtle changes in her face. So natural
I discovered this show on a cross continent flight through a really low point in life. I have been watching it over and over again for the last 6 months coz it gives you the kind of comfort nothing else can give. The last season is flawed and yet you overlook it coz this show gave you so much.
I love the restaurant scene. Cuz in the beginning of the day Trent to was skeptical about everything that was Ted, after sharing a meal with him he realized that Ted is simple as they come

I love the scene where he talks about being sad and alone. When my father died i was "sad and alone" i wrecked me for years. When my mom passed I wasn't alone i had my daughter and wife to get me through it, same devastating event but two different outcomes.
The beautiful thing about Ted telling Jamie he's a great player but he wants to see him become more of a team player, is how genuine Jamie is. For the first time, we get to see the real Jamie. He probably expected to get berated, like hie would with his father, but instead he gets gets fenuine praise he hasn't gotten before. And ted's advice is really more like fatherly wisdom. Jamie never had that before, and you can genuinely feel the words reach him.

Things I just now realized.... Nate.... is Tim Grimes, from The Martian. The young guy, the one who was like "This won't exactly be an Algonquin round table of witty repartee" when they were telling him to point a camera to send a message up to Watney.
Also difference in countries shows.... "It's the hope that kills you" is very post-war british because yeah, hoping the bombings would stop? You'll get real fucked up in the head if you do that. America never really had to deal much with that outside of PH, and even then, it was one day.
Ted would probably tell us that forgiveness is key and that letting go isn’t giving up😂 but as far as the marriage counselor situation…..I’m not gonna lie something about that relationship feels unethical to me
I wish they would have at least addressed it. Just have her “prove” in some what that she didn’t cheat and she went to him after everything was done. Still wrong, but wouldn’t hate her as much.
