  • We couldn't have chosen a better artist to pursue for our FIRST interview of 2019 (& probably one of ONLY a handful this year) in LONG standing 'rock' guitarist, Mr. Jake E. Lee! And thankfully,...it seems that despite an almost 12-year hiatus throughout most of the 2000's & a 4-year absence since 2014 the man couldnt find himself in a better place musically with his band, Jake E Lee's Red Dragon Cartel's latest effort, 'Patina'. Undoubtedly, the rock industry is a ruthless business & can demoralize even the greatest of talents, but Jake has found his footing again with the help of bassist (& friend), Anthony Esposito (former Ace Frehley/Lynch Mob) & together have really transforced RDC into a true band, rather than a methodically put together project. I had the distinct pleasure of chatting with the man on March 8th, 2019 before the band's performance at The Rock Box & in 20min we covered lots of ground to include: his evident seclusion from the music scene, how his chemistry with Esposito has transformed the band, recording at Esposito's studio in central Pennsylvania, how 'Patina' musically is a different beast & which songs really touch is heart, touring plans for 2019,....& his fondest memories of being in the Ozzy Osbourne band. This is a historical chat for RMW & I'll be frank is sharing that I witnessed many sides of Jake this evening,...his quirkiness, his humor, his honesty,...& at times maybe a lil self doubt; but at 62 years of age its still a beautiful things to see this man out on the road & throwin down. It was an honor to come out of the shadows for this one,...so I hope ALL our followers around the world will watch & SHARE. Best, ~ El Mero Metal

Admirer Jake E Lee very much for his guitar playing, honesty and his authenticity. He had short collaboration with Mandy Lion former WWII in mid 1990s . They wrote a awesome song together call The rust. Can recommend it highly .☺

Jake seems like a really cool guy I just worry that he may over indulge in too much of the stuff that takes a lot of rock legends. He has that tommy bolin like way about him.
