    I'm glad we dont have motorcycle class restrictions here in the states. A full power CB650R is completely manageable for a competant beginner.

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  Месяц назад +2

      How does it work then with the driver license out there?
      That absolutely may be, but many beginners just aren't competant 🤷🏻‍♂️.

      @@stoxiflow Here, a license is a license. No restrictions. I'll admit it's kind of crazy that teenagers can just go buy 1000cc super bikes but it's also crazy that I wouldnt be allowed to own my bike in the UK as it is my first bike and it is extremely manageable. 2 ways that I know of to get a license:
      You can take a 1-2 day class and get a certificate to show your state gov
      Or
      You can do a written test for a learner's permit (with restrictions but not on the power of the motorcycle) and then do a practical riding test to get your actual license.
      I did the class, 2 days in classroom and riding course and passed. Got a certificate, sent it to my state's vehicle bureau and they sent me a license with a M-endorsement on it.

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  Месяц назад +1

      Wow okay, sound's pretty easy.
      How old do you have to be, to be allowed to ride every bike (hp and so on doesn't matter)?
      What's an "M-endorsement"?

    • @RoaminNowhere
      @RoaminNowhere Месяц назад +1

      @@stoxiflow How old depends on each state but all states are 16 years old at most to get a driver's license. An M(otorcycle) endorsement is a addition on your driver's license allowing you to ride motorcycles.
      There are no restrictions to the endorsement. So at 16 you can ride a 190 horsepower Hayabusa legally if you wanted. Although, this isnt common at all. Some people do it but most people still choose to start out on smaller starter bikes because it's dumb and insurance for a 16 yr old on a sport bike is insanely expensive and good luck to them getting their parent to pay for it.

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  Месяц назад +2

      16? That's really young. In Austria, Germany, etc., with 16 years old, you can "only" ride a bike with 125ccm and a maximum power of 11kW/15hp.
      ... America is just really different in many ways 🤯.

    How was power delivery on this bike? Looks like this bike has too long gears. Was it lazy? I used to ride an MT07, and I would like to buy the next bike but I am choosing between this bike and the Z900.

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  8 месяцев назад +6

      I really like the power delivery 👍🏼. The gears are relatively long (1st gear: ~100 km/h; 2nd: ~125 km/h, etc.) but you get used to it. If you want to accelerate quickly, you should use third gear at most (1st or 2nd is even better (logically)). MT07 is a 2 Cylinder bike and the Z900 and CB650R have 4 Cylinder. Those long gears are normal for those. 2 Cylinder bikes have more power (better said torque) with lower rpm than 4 Cylinder bikes. Mine is also still throttled to 35kW (normally: 70kW).
      I hope I could help you!

      When it's blurred, I'm going >100 km/h.
      Yeah, you're right, the ride wasn't that fast, but does it always have to be fast? ... and beside of that, it's throttled to 35kW (48hp).
      Where is "Straya"? The road conditions of this road are about average for an Austrian road. So there are also much better roads here. You can watch some other videos of mine if you want to, to see some other roads as well 👌🏼.

      Ok im a novice here. What does long gear mean ? And unrestricted??

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  2 месяца назад +2

      As far as I know it's like this:
      A long gear is usual for 4 Cylinder bikes. Mostly the first gear runs far over 120+ km/h, in contrast to many 2 Cylinders bikes, who haven't such long gears.
      So, a "long gear" is when the min. and max. speed of a certain gear are far apart.
      Unrestricted means, when the bike has its full power. So a restricted bike is throttled to a certain power. The CB650R for example normally has 70kW/95hp. Mine is throttled/restricted to 35kW/48hp. Why is it like this? It's because I only have got the A2 driver license and for the full power I need the A license.
      I hope, that I could help you a little! 👍🏼

    Die Gear ratios tun dem Motor in der Leistungskonfig echt nicht gut, bzw die Beschleunigung leidet ganz schön. Noch ein Grund mehr mit dem Führerschein noch n paar Monate zu warten bis ich den offenen A machen kann. :D

      Dafür kenne ich mich technisch zu wenig aus, will und kann dir dadurch auch nicht unrecht geben.
      Das Gute hier jedoch ist, dass ich 2 Jahre gedrosselt und dann offen mit dem gleichen Bike fahren kann, ohne mir ein Neues kaufen zu müssen usw.. Dass eine Drosselung nicht das Beste für den Motor ist, ist mir in gewisser Maßen auch bewusst, jedoch muss/soll er das zumindest für die 2 Jahre auch locker "aushalten" können.

    • @otisjordan5613
      @otisjordan5613 2 месяца назад +1

      @@stoxiflow Ich mein das gar nicht mal technisch, sondern glaube ich einfach dass die Getriebeübersetzung für die Leistung etwas zu lang ist, weshalb sich das Motorrad langsamer anfühlt als es wirklich ist.
      Letzendlich verhindert die Drosselung bei der halt einfach dass die Drosselklappe ganz aufgeht, sodass man also nicht mit vollgas fahren kann.
      Dass der Motor das aushält ist gar keine Frage, und dass es super ist die Drosselung einfach entfernen zu können, wenn mans darf, und dann ne vernünftige Leistung zu haben, natürlich auch nicht. Wenn ich nicht eh schon 23 wäre würd ich das genauso machen :D

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  2 месяца назад

      Das wird sicher stimmen, jedoch finde ich die Getriebeübersetzung typisch für ein 4-Zylinder Motorrad. Trotzdem verstehe ich, was du meinst, denn die Übersetzung ist wirklich lang.

    your riding style is awful! constantly dropping the revs aggressively, then back on the power, holing onto the gears until these no power-band left, all over the front break, all over the road, un necessarily and rev matching aggressively when the bike already has auto rev match. not to mention going very, very, slow whilst doing all this 😅

    • @stoxiflow
      @stoxiflow  Месяц назад

      Thanks for your criticism, but I've some questions 'bout it.
      What do you mean with "dropping the revs aggressively then back on"?
      What's wrong with the front break?
      The rev matching at this bike isn't unnecessary. It's way smoother and faster, when doing it, than without. And also, there is no auto rev match.
      It's "very, very, slow" because it only has 35kW/48hp.

    • @awakened_nomad
