I really want to like the Hornet, but I don’t. Honda is trying to compete with Yamaha and keep costs down…
In the end we all have different boxes to tick and it’s awesome that there is so much to choose from. My 2023 CB650R fits me greatly. Im not a tall person so Im never cramped. I love the looks of it. It’s fast when I want it to be and smooth and docile when wanting as well. It feels premium, making me feel I own something with value. Yes, it’s not perfect, but what is? There would be nothing left after perfection…
In the end we could own 100s of motorcycles in a lifetime and they would all have different characteristics. The important thing is to CHOOSE THE BIKE YOU LIKE! KEEP RIDING! BE SAFE!

All the reviews frown on the Cb650r but anyone who rides them loves them, that’s why I bought one. You gotta keep the revs high and stay in the power band. It’s a different riding style than the 2 cylinder bikes where you have less room to the redline and lots of torque down low. But I don’t want low down torque in the city bc it’s too jerky.

Owned the 650. The midrange was infuriatingly gutless. Yes it's fun revving the crap out of it, but it gets old when every time you pin the throttle under 8000rpm you get nothing and feel like you're waiting for the power. I now own an older Er6f/Ninja 650 and I honestly MUCH prefer the Kawi motor.

I drove the cb650R through europe 6-7000km for 3 weeks. inline 4 8is fun when u have speed limits that are in the 80+km an hour. then its fun. it comes to live when you closing in on the speed limits. and that is quite a bad thing unless you want to risk it. Not a good bike to pass other cars i felt like. because it takes about 1 sec before the power kicks inn. so you have to decide to drive fully agressive or just cruise. the hornet i feel like you can make quick desicions and be fine. because power kicks in early. just my two cents

@@danniedwards5750it’s a cool bike! But for a naked it is simply too powerfull. It has more power than you can put on the road, and topspeed is way higher than you can use because the air drag will pull you of the bike😅 but when you don’t drive like a hooligan it’s a very smooth and civil bike. It’s very nimble for a liter bike, seating position is very good and it all feels very balanced. But my dream bike would be this bike, with this looks and handling, but with the V4 engine from the VFR800. It sounds way better and has more torque in the lower revs.

I prefer the tourquee twin in the 750 . I own the 500 twin version and low to medium range rocks. it's quick not fast and can't imagine what the 750 feels like with almost double the power. 650 is for your what the neighbor thinks. i could careless what it sounds like or if it looks beefer . most will replace the exhaust with aftermarket anyways. I still have the stock pipe and will stay with it because i don't like overly loud bikes plus it keeps it's value with original parts.
