Consider a 2006 cb600f. Same power, brakes, intuitive handling, fifty four pounds lighter. Less weight equals less wait. The 650 is derived from the 600f. Save a lot of money, plus insurance is less, and get the same bike. Good luck.

Nice video and beautiful exhaust sound. How does the bike feel on highway speeds (120-140) ? I don't expect much from a naked bike but do you think it's viable on a 3-4 hour trip? Thanks
Mine feels as planted as a concrete slab. Barring any operator headspace, I don't believe this bike has enough power to exceed its handling capabilities. And yes, I do regularly go on 3-4 hour rides. Comfort issues come from the position (just a little), the seat (a little more) and my death grip on the throttle (unnecessary, but a habit). Sometimes vibrations (n=2 mode is felt around 6k, about 120 km/h) will make my face itch as the microphone in my helmet vibrates against my mustache. It was really bad on my first long trip - turns out there was a mustache hair stuck in the fluffy noise reduction thing around the mic which was touching my face just enough to be itchy when you add a bit of vibration. Took that out - no issues. Not the bike's fault. I'd say none of the comfort issues are "bad", they're just a little less than ideal. Maybe take a break halfway through or something.

But yeh, the throttle feels awesome. Stick to cable if you can, the loss of feel never makes up for the rider modes imho.
@@233kosta Yeah I'm a bit sketched out by the "baby wipes" throttle delay that's apparently on the Trident. I've been a car guy for long enough and never liked ride by wire. But since I am a car guy, you know 4 cylinders don't impress me that much and 3 seems like a fun exotic choice. A bit of a lesser engine though in the Trident for sure.

Bro espero la haya comprado, es una moto perfecta, para mi gusto la moto tiene muy buena respuesta de potencia, hay que tomar en cuenta que al ser un motor de 4 cilindros, la potencia esta en alta ,por encima de los 8,000rpm se convierte en un cohete , en baja rpm para mis gusto ...siento que le hace falta un poquito (aclaro que solo en baja rpm , en alta es demasiado nivel), mas sin embargo es mi opinión personal , muy probablemente se enamore de ese motor.
Hi thanks for watching, and yes I don't use the clutch while shifting gears up ,I had installed a quickshifter which is an aftermarket part for this model and allows you to gear up without using clutch and releasing throttle 👌🏽💯
It's a rather new development in motorcycles. You can compare it with tiptronic in cars. The system handles the clutch by itself in very short intervals when you shift, allowing the rider to shift quicker.
@@loicdumortier a quickshifter does not operate the clutch! There is a sensor on the shift pedal that detects when you push upwards, cutting spark or fuel to the engine so the tension on the transmission get away for a millisecond or so allowing the transmission to shift. Thats what you do when you pull the clutch. Releasing tension of your gearbox

Hi Kevin ,to be honest the quickshifter is really useful on this bike ,it makes the drive to be smoother ,it helps a lot while riding fast because you only move your foot up and thats it....however its a tool designed to be used on high rpm ,if you ride in low reps like in the city or such I would suggest to use the clutch... overall the best accessory you can get in this bike...👌🏽

Sir, I was shocked to watch your riding style in this video. You ride much too fast in my opinion, taking split second risks on public roads. I have just purchased the exact same Honda 650R as you and was interested to see your view. However, I was very shocked as to how you rode the wonderful 650R. I have to ask you, if you have a bike that reaches 300 kph top speed, or perhaps 600 kph, you would ride at the bike's top speed on public roads? I am sorry but I cannot condone your riding style or ethos, and I think you should desist immediately, if you want to live a long life, and not want to have a crash that kills perhaps a car with young children inside. In my opinion, one day if you continue to think public roads are your personal track-ride, either you will hit some bad car driver who makes a driving error, or you might have some accident where you will be seriously injured or killed outright. It happens, sir. Riding powerful bikes at top speed is a wonderful skill...but cannot be done on public roads...even a 15 year old child would know this....super speed is for private track only. Clearly, you have not learned an important lesson. I do NOT want to attend your funeral because you hit 230 kph or more on your motorbike, and hit some stupid car driver who didn't see you coming..because you were driving so fast...when you could have had a lifetime of motorcycle riding...and enjoyed some super fast riding on-track, where super speeds are appropriate...and legal. I don't know that country you live in, but I might hazard a guess that you have broken some serious laws in the making of this video. Proper, and long lived high power motorcycle riders would probably concur with me to speculate that riding consistently as you have done in this video, either results in the riders' early death, or imprisonment. Sir, this is NOT acceptable..losing your life for a few minutes of mega-speed riding is not worth the price.

The bike feels very stable over 100mph , me personally, I think that it doesn't even require steering damper.

Thank for watching Alfred, and yes the quickshifter its designed to avoid losing speed while shifting gears up...from all accessories this is the one I would recommend the most for any bike...

Sir, I was shocked to watch your riding style in this video. You ride much too fast in my opinion, taking split second risks on public roads.
I have just purchased the exact same Honda 650R as you and was interested to see your view. However, I was very shocked as to how you rode the wonderful 650R.
I have to ask you, if you have a bike that reaches 300 kph top speed, or perhaps 600 kph, you would ride at the bike's top speed on public roads?
I am sorry but I cannot condone your riding style or ethos, and I think you should desist immediately, if you want to live a long life, and not want to have a crash that kills perhaps a car with young children inside.
In my opinion, one day if you continue to think public roads are your personal track-ride, either you will hit some bad car driver who makes a driving error, or you might have some accident where you will be seriously injured or killed outright.

Riding powerful bikes at top speed is a wonderful skill...but cannot be done on public roads...even a 15 year old child would know this....super speed is for private track only.
Clearly, you have not learned an important lesson.
I do NOT want to attend your funeral because you hit 230 kph or more on your motorbike, and hit some stupid car driver who didn't see you coming..because you were driving so fast...when you could have had a lifetime of motorcycle riding...and enjoyed some super fast riding on-track, where super speeds are appropriate...and legal.
I don't know that country you live in, but I might hazard a guess that you have broken some serious laws in the making of this video.
Proper, and long lived high power motorcycle riders would probably concur with me to speculate that riding consistently as you have done in this video, either results in the riders' early death, or imprisonment.
Sir, this is NOT acceptable..losing your life for a few minutes of mega-speed riding is not worth the price.
