I'm Molly, a typical sushi, makeup, and fashion loving millennial girl who just so happens to be blind! I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model! Even though I can’t see, I know that there are bright spots in everything we face. Let’s find them together. 💕
I wish you would have said the prices on each thing individually, I was so curious! I’m glad you enjoyed the food so much. Looked delicious.
If there's one thing I've come to appreciate about Molly's videos as of lately, it's that Mama Bee is included in whatever Molly is doing, unless she says so otherwise. It's just so nice to get more of that mother/daughter dynamic while also keeping things professional 😊
There is no way this food is THAT much better for you, they have just done an excellent job marketing it to LA to believe it is the best food. It is the Disney of amusement parks, great but not worth the price.
Mostly things with tapioca flour/starch. the latest trend. Not especially good for you.
I think there's a bit of both. Erewhon is absolutely ridiculous with it's pricing and marketing. Lots of greenwashing. Nobody NEEDS to shop there, especially in L.A. of all places. Molly's friend could easily cater to her dietary needs elsewhere.
The term "healthy" is also being used very loosely here.
Are some things healthier than their more mainstream counterparts? Yes.
Are a lot of things what we would consider junk food? Also yes.
The 7 layer bar, for example. Using dates and non-dairy caramel instead of sweetened condensed milk and butterscotch chips, and dark chocolate instead of milk "chocolate", does make that 7 layer bar healthier than a lot of the more traditional ones. (These are accessible swaps that home cooks can also make without the 8$ per bar price point) It's still 7 layers of mostly sugar and fat, it's not what most people would call healthy.
But if you are going to make or eat one anyway, which you can in moderation, there are notable differences in nutritional value from different ingredients. But you will find "healthier" versions of stuff in most stores nowadays anyway, it's not the exclusivity Erewhon tries to say it is
@@psychohippie 👏👏🙏
Everyone is different. So maybe people in this thread wouldn't want to shop there, and maybe some would prefer to make their own food at home, which is also completely legitimate. But some people also just want to go to places like this for the experience. Because it's fun. Because it's a treat… And because why not? if that's not your thing, fine. But if it is someone else's thing, also fine.
Greenwashing for sure!
Can we get a Trader Joe’s haul?? Love them the best.
I think you can sell anything in LA if it says organic, gluten free, sugar free, everything free 😆
Which is the most annoying thing because basically don't get gluten and dairy free if you don't need it because someone with lagit medical issues will need it. Dairy and gluten free isn't going to make you skinner or healthier I'm sorry.
Which makes people like me with celiac, gastroparesis, and mast cell activation syndrome who have to eat that stuff seem like we’re just trying to be trendy or something it’s so annoying. Like if I eat soy I have an anaphylactic reaction yet I get an eye roll when buying allergen free food and get asked if my “diet” is helping me lose weight ugh
Entirely agree! Everything in moderation is good.. but you shouldn’t eliminate things from your diet just because it’s trendy. Gluten free and dairy free options were created for people with intolerance not to look skinny.
Bea/Bee/B (sorry don't know the spelling lol) has such pretty hair! Thanks for letting us shop vicariously through you!
She really does! And I found out that it's spelled Be. Probably the only possible variation that you didn't have 😂
@@peachyedits22 That's hilarious and I love it🤣
I was going to say the same thing! Beautiful curly hair!!!!!
Seeing the granola isle with the minimalistic mason jars and then the Almond Breeze milk that I can get at Walmart just made me laugh. Molly did say that a lot of the items can be purchased elsewhere but I def wasn’t expecting to see a Walmart find ~
Some other Erewhon reviews specifically take the time to price match from that grocery store to either Costco target etc, I found it to be pretty fascinating! It makes sense as people have said I guess you are paying for the brand and the experience, and maybe one or two items is worth purchasing as a super treat.
Never mind the expensive food - what I need is that mug! Perfect size, perfect shape and it has a really cute bee on it - it’s gorgeous! 🐝
If anyone wants to eat healthfully on a budget, eating fresh food and avoiding the snacks will save you a lot of cash.
I was thinking the same thing!! All of this food is snack food.
Ugh, right? Saying that overly processed foods are healthy, just because the sugar is not refined is so ridiculous...I like snacks as well, but over all you save the most money buying ingredients rather than ready made food and often times it's also healthier.
I do about 98% of my shopping at Trader Joe’s, then a little at Whole Foods sometimes, and a bit at Target. TJ’s is wonderful.
I've been hearing Zach Kornfeld talk about this place for a while, but always thought it was spelled "Air One" lol! I'm glad you got to try so many tasty treats
I recently developed gluten intolerance and it has been SO HARD. Gluten is in everything! Thankfully I have a non-picky partner who will eat all of the gluten-free things I buy to try and then hate, haha. Gluten has become a thing I only eat if the food is worth it, haha, because I am in intense pain after eating it. I wish gluten free food was more accessible and affordable.
If you have a sprouts near you they have a good selection! Or a natural grocers! ❤ been gf for 10 years and it’s a JOURNEY lol
If you travel, one place I recommend for gluten free people, is Italy. I know, that cant be true, land of pasta and pizza..... but a fair amount of people have celiac disease, and everyone is tested as young children. They have a large amount gluten free options
I don't know if you can get schär products in the us, they have the biggest gluten free selection I've ever seen
@@amyfluffyfluff880 you can! They’re products are super safe and usually really good
@@elizabethr.9359 I appreciate your comment and encouragement. I’m on my second round of trying to be gf for health issues. It is tough! I live in a really rural area and there aren’t many options. I requested more gf items to my local store, so here’s hoping!
Gluten free snacks I recommend include:
-Simple Mills rosemary and sea salt crackers
-Snyder’s pretzels
-Partake graham crackers (tip: put nut butter on them😋)
-Made good granola bars or granola minis
-Nature’s bakery fig bars (gluten free version)
-Sensible portions garden veggie puffs (omg so good)
-Popcorners
-Blue diamond nut thin crackers
-coconut yogurt
-dark chocolate covered almonds
-Trader Joe’s gluten free English muffins
-dried mango
-Ripple protein shakes
I loved this video. Would love to see a Trader Joe’s haul!!
Agreed!
You absolutely MUST try the Trader Joe’s egg wraps!!!! They are by far the best ones I have ever had and I get them every time I go. (They look even better than those expensive ones actually, 10/10 can’t suggest enough)
The teriyaki mushroom jerky might be good julienned in stir fried veg or tofu. Maybe pour boiling water over it to rehydrate prior to stir Fry.
Will honestly say that the comments on the food being "healthier" or "clean" was really triggering. I think this is a super easy thing to fall into, and did really like the framing around how avoiding certain things makes sense for some people. But that doesnt make it "healtheir"
OK everybody, watch more of Molly's videos and the ads, so she can go to this store every week.
Molly, I too do a majority of my grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s. 🥰 They have delicious food at reasonable prices. There are some items that I have to get at Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc. but I can get a majority of what I need at TJs.
I so wish we had Trader Joe's in Canada!!! That Snickerdoodle latte looks so yummy! 😋🥰
The snickerdoodle latte is from Erewhon, not Trader Joe's..
This was such a fun hang. Also just a reminder to viewers many many of the products sold at Erewhon are small businesses and startups so I feel good about spending a few extra dollars to support them. Also Erewhon is almost entirely organic and non gmo. They don’t use bad oils (like canola) in their hot bar and although processed foods aren’t the best thing to consume, these products are pretty clean. (Meaning they don’t contain tons of preservatives, additives, and pesticides).
Thank you for this comment and reminder. And also thank you for not being preachy, like some others. Supporting small businesses is very important, and there are some people who are genuinely in need of what they sell here. Yes, the prices are higher, but that doesn't mean that it isn't a legitimate store. And yes, people can make their own food at home, but due to a variety of reasons, some people cannot. So places like This should definitely exist.
cool, cool. they charge too much.
The whole canola thing is massively overblown and verging into the point of conspiracy.
Yet to see a single valid report of any claims people make.
@@ECM24 "Cool". That's why there are plenty of other places to shop and give one's business to.
@@TheDolphace100%, canola/MSG/GMO fear is completely unfounded if you read the scientific peer-reviewed literature. Eat whatever and wherever you want but don't spread misinformation
Could you share a trader joes and or whole foods haul or list? I'm on an AIP diet and love all the recommendations!
YES the Boulder avocado oil chips are everything. I’m gluten free sugar free (as in anything but fruit sugar) and I get those all the time. So many things in this video I eat regularly.
lol nieve loving everything off camera is cracking me up😂
Niamh
R.I.P Molly’s bank ballance after loving 99% of these items!! Lol
😂😂 xxxx
I work at a bougie grocery store and people spend like 400-600 dollars a LOT… It’s excruciating seeing all the stuff I want to eat but I definitely can’t justify it. 😅 SOMETIMES I do, though. 😂😂😂 I get my groceries at Aldi mostly so that’s less than 100 for a full cart mostly. 😅😅😅
Right my mom worked at Whole Foods for a short time and she said she would never buy anything from there if she didn’t need to she’d leave work and go to a different store
I’ve been dairy free for like 15 years and gluten free for about 10. My quality life has been completely changed by changing my diet. You’re so right though!! The options have become SOMUCH better😊
Can you PLEASE do a Trader Joe’s Haul?! 😍 I don’t live in LA, I’m from Upstate NY.
What’s crazy, is that with inflation, erewhon is the same price as the average grocery store in Denver Colorado right now
I love how your friend said "healthy junk". That's how I view Masala chips when I buy them. They're baked rather than fried and so I feel like I'm eating a healthier chip on movie nights as opposed to something less healthy like ketchup or dill pickle chips.
$30 for a small bag of olives? Yikes! I thought $7.99 for tetra pack soups was expensive!
B is insanely gorgeous! I enjoyed this episode but I will definitely stick to my cheap stores lol
Aldi for the win.🙌🥇🏆
Would love to see a video about the anti inflammatory eating that you did to help your EBV....like a "what I ate in a week" or something like that!
Please talk to an actual dietitian, not a youtuber with no medical credentials for diet recs
That pic's peanut butter, their "everything butter" is SOOOO GOOOD, if you love your nuts and seeds it's a must try, I love it with banana and cinnamon on toast.
I used to work at trader joes and their prices and products are so great! Their bananas have been the same price since they opened
Also you HAVE to try the boulder chips (the ridged plain chips you got) in the malt vinegar flavor. Incredible.
I'm not sure if the $185 was supposed to be a shocking number? But in Canada, families are spending $400 a week at regular grocery stores buying normal things thanks to inflation. $185 is not that much. I spent $150 on myself last week, didn't buy anything fancy. I mean...everything is more expensive in Canada though but I'm sorry, this is far from "absurd", this is normal.
It was shocking because she just bought a few snacks and one hot meal. She didn't get a real grocery haul 😅
@@sierrabelle11 Unfortunately, with the grocery prices these days, still not shocking to me. I buy one small bag and it costs $50.
@Infrogneato Did I say it was a pissing contest? I'm aware of where Molly lives, that's why I was surprised that she would call this much money absurd when food prices are so ridiculous these days. I also just thought that if we're going to a fancy grocery store it would be a shocking amount of money lol calm down
I avoid anything almond at all costs. Almonds are not sustainable at all. So much land is cleared for the almond industry and the amount of water thats required for a singular almond is insane
That was an interesting food haul video! I know everyone's going on about it not being the "healthiest", which I'm going to assume is known..it's just a fun little taste test video...just, enjoy it!
Okay but thst bee mug in the beginning?! CUTE AF!!!
Unpopular opinion: granola is not healthy. you may as well eat a cake. which if you love it, go ahead and eat it, I just find deceiving that they're trying to make it look like it's healthy. it's pumped with sugar and saturated fat. which again, you can eat it you want I'm not here to tell anyone what to eat. it's just for info, awareness. it's not healthy
Agreed! When I was in college; some morning we would smell chocolate chip cookies baking and be so happy. Nope. It was granola. Yuck!
What do Americans do to granola?!
@@TheDolphace eat granola bars, put it on top of yogurt or fruit...
Agreed it isn’t healthy. Well some of it isn’t bad. But for me it satisfies the cookie craving so I try to choose brands that are healthier than a straight up cookie.
I love those egg wraps! Target 🎯 carries them! $5.19 for a pack
Does Erewhon take SNAP benefits?
Wow 2010’s was hard to find dairy free? I remember it as a time when you could find more dairy free things. But then I’m comparing it to ten years earlier and a few before.
I’m so curious about all these things. As someone with coeliac disease I’m always craving novelty in snacks since options are quite restricted & I really need to search to find new things where I live.
I thought the same thing. Someone close to me has wheat and dairy allergies and I can’t imagine shopping at a place with so many options. Very cool.
The siete foods churro strips are at Costco and Krogers.
Siete is so good and they carry it at HEB too if you live in the south
I love Siete products! They have the BEST cookies. And Kite Hill yogurt has a wonderful texture and flavor (i like the unsweetened - if I want to sweeten it, I add a dollop of my favorite jelly.
I can't trust y'all's opinions on anything in this video 😂 Because I've had the Siete churro sticks and the BBQ chips, and they are just "OK" lol. I eat/choose them because they're dairy free, but if I didn't have a dairy allergy I wouldn't choose them over other similar snacks.
Would love it if you could do a video on healing your IBS. I've been struggling and looking for a relatable video.
I don't think you can call this stuff "healthy" - just less unhealthy alternatives to more unhealthy products. 'Cause like... are these products high in protein and fiber, for instance, or just lower in added sugar and have fewer carbs? Just something to keep in mind.
I was not ready to see Pics peanut butter! It's made 10 minutes down the road from me in New Zealand and it's totally normal peanut butter here but apparently people rave about it cause most peanut butter is sweet???
£175 would probably buy me meals for just over a month!
i love the boulder chips in the olive oil flavor, my dad picks a couple up from sam’s club when we go. we always make pinto beans and eating them with that and some salsa it is so delicious
The fact that a product replaces traditional items with whatever is trendy “healthy” at the time doesn’t make it actually healthy. So many things here are packed full of preservatives, sugar, sweeteners.
I love it. I haven’t watched it yet, but I’m here to settle in. Let me go get my snacks lol 🌟🔥🔥❤️😊
I want the brand of lipstick your friend is wearing. It didn’t budge. Impressed!!!
It’s by Maybelline super stay ink crayon. It dries out your lips though, so you have to put some sort of moisture like lip smacker over it and then a gooey gloss over that.
For cheapos: they sell great almond flour crackers at Costco
I actually live that mushroom jerky but I love Mushroom anything and I think I had the Thai flavor.
Gluten free saltine alternatives, aka Salternatives
I finally caught to all of Molly's videos!
Sounds like if Whole Foods & Goop got together had a child!
a fellow person who can't say Massachusetts bonzai. yes i cannot say it either it's so hard.
I discovered 7 layer bars when I moved out and started doing my own groceries. They have so many names, it's Hello Dolly bars at my grocery store. I have a sweet tooth, and to say these bars are _dangerous,_ would be an understatement.
It Boston mass uh chew sits.
180 for groceries where I live 180 sounds about right 😂
I'd love to get to know you from the beginning. Can you create a playlist that starts from the beginning? Other channels have them and I can watch on auto-play. Thanks for your content.
P.S., did you find out haw much water it takes to grow one almond?
Thank you again for your honesty, openness and humor.
I spend almost the same on a regular grocery trip at Walmart in Canada

I really wish I had a Trader Joe’s closer to me. It is like 30 minutes away but I like to go a couple times a year.
Most of this is sold at sprouts too and not that expensive!
All these new wheat free things now are tapioca starch like the saltine like crackers, so for those with SIBO still a no-go. Just FYI
Your nail colors are so fun!
I haven’t been able to eat gluten for 10 years now I can’t eat dairy, eggs, red meat, soy, palm oil, plus other stuff I’m forgetting. Combine gastroparesis with MCAS and it’s a crap shoot of what I can eat and actually digest or not have an anaphylactic reaction to 😅 also if you want to eat super healthy without the price just go to a good farmers market and shop carefully at a normal grocery store also nothing is healthier than just vegetables
oh, wow! I have followed ppl in the past with so many food restrictions. I am so sorry for you.
I have gastroparesis, it is so difficult enough on its own
MCAS is so hard to deal with…
@@shelly7269 ugh it really is a lot to manage, even with H1 and H2 blockers it’s rough
@@shalacarter6658 no worries, I’m honestly really used to it and it’s kind of the least of my health issues I live with tbh
This was fun, thanks for sharing!
😂I am not questioning your blindness but I find it so funny that you turned the avocado oil chips towards you and stared at them for a hot sec before turning them to the camera and your friend told you that they were upside down.
Are you new? Have you seen her videos where she explains her blindness and why she does certain things?
No, i know she has sighted habits. I think it’s wild that she has ‘trained’/conditioned herself to participate in these traits when she cannot see it. I’m sure she did that subconsciously, just gave me a little giggle.

I love Spindrift and I like the siete chips also the food looks good I want it. Target sells these.
8:58 almond breeze at erehwon?
I wish these stores would have bulk shopping.
I’m on tiktok every day and I’ve never heard of this place. Then again, I’m in Oklahoma 😆
I subscribed because you are besties with your mom, like me ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey, when you find something great; it's okay to cry. :)
In my opinion, nothing with almonds is good for water conservation. Do your homework. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Regards, k
Do you mean how they are grown?
They need a lot of water, I think it's reasonable to avoid eating a lot but a few here and there should be ok.
A single almond needs 1.1 gallons to mature. Just think about that for a minute. 👍
Seeing they sell low brands of almond milk shows they are good with their marketing and inflation of prices toward a rich crowd.
Thankfully Wegmen's has some of the more "healthier" (moreso things people on certain diets can eat) brands thankfully so I still get to try these things while doing my regular grocery shopping at reasonable prices.
I wish we had Wegman’s in Florida !
In Ireland, are you should shop in Tesco or Aldi, and I’m trying to live healthy with just healthy food and that sort of thing and I’m trying to do it as a person that spell autistic and visually impaired
I pay $100 for basics at Ralph’s (bread, veggies, bagels, cheese, chicken breast etc) (I’m new to the US, and I’ve heard Trader Joe’s is better, but it’s also further from my flat). I understand LA is expensive so I assume you got barely anything at a celebrity grocery store.
My dad has celiac disease so that would be a good store for him but sadly no stores in NorCal. The price would probably make my mom have a heart attack anyway.
Omg. Live in Boston leaving in a couple days for LA. Guess it was meant to be …..
+MollyBurkeOfficial 🤔 *I'm sorry, but I never heard of EREШHONⓇ prior to this vid.* Erewhon Market has ten locations in Los Ángeles (CA, USA) County; any expansion to the San Francisco (CA, USA) Bay Area will probably be to Marin County (specifically, Sausalito).
People are brainwashed to believe that because something is expensive, it's better for you/tastes better which is just NOT true. But perfect place to market something like that where everyone is so materialistic
The thing is that every single person's IBS is different. Gluten doesn't both me AT ALL but I can't eat mushrooms...and I LOVE mushrooms.
Love you Molly ❤
$183 for that much healthy food and a hot meal doesn’t seem that outrageous. But then again I’m from Canada 😂🤦♀️
Same from Switzerland 😅
In Canadian dollars they actually spent like 247 😬
I love a good 7 layer bar, we call them magic bars where Im from
you guys-the good news is: Since the world´s on fire and we´te all broke, let´s go ahead and watch vids like yours to practice gratitude again für our -either way-much lower grocery bills-even lately. But regardless: This Erewhon-Sh*t looks so fancy and yum... If I were a zillionaire I woudd live from them -alternating with methodology. And my coffe would be from Emma Chamberlain and Four Sigmatic.
I have to go to the grocery store when I’m hungry or I won’t buy anything… I don’t like the taste of most foods unless I’m hungry enough where almost everything tastes great.
Only Molly could make a video eating crackers and I’ll watch it
Does your friend have social media to follow? Her style is so cute. I'm glad I don't have access to that kinda of fancy, delicious food because I would be broke 24/7 lol!
These are crazy. I'm allergic to everything here so even if I could afford it I'd have to skip. For gluten free dairy free pasta, a brand I can highly recommend is the Banza branded chickpea pasta. It tastes very much like regular pasta but it's made from chickpea flour instead. I have also been struggling with trying to lower the amount of gluten and dairy in my diet cuz I know it's high histamine but I'm even more reactive to the most common substitutes like coconut, most tree nuts, mushrooms, and a whole bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. I have a histamine intolerance thanks to mcas and so I have to be very creative when it comes to food. The Boulder brand has pure olive oil chips that are fantastic and the only ones I tolerate. I will say I tolerate the A2 brand ultrapasteurized milk better than regular milk you should try it out cuz it removes the histamine and also a protein that is one of the more common sources of allergy/discomfort for people not lactose intolerant. It's still dairy, just gentler.
Oh and also the vegan mayo by Best Foods brand is the best vegan mayo. Sensitive Sweets is a bakery in LA that sells allergen free (gluten free, dairy free, nut free, corn free, artificial sweeteners free, vegan) cookies, cupcakes, cakes, cake pops, pancakes, and waffles and they're amazing. They sell ready made stuff as well as mixes (I only ever get the mixes cuz I'm allergic to the shortening they use but that's just a me thing). I personally love the waffle and pancake mixes the most.
Boston doesn’t claim that nonsense lmao
Here I just spend $185 on groceries at Walmart today 😂
