Just purchased the Legion slim 5 14” recently and I have to say I am blown away by the bang for buck on performance, build and that 2.8k oled screen. Got the R7, 32GB and 1TB SSD model for £1240 in the UK from Lenovo. I don’t think there is a better value all round laptop out there. Also love it’s less gamery aesthetic and can remain incognito when blasting Forza 5 on the train 😂
I'd generally wait a month or two until we see all these intel ultra laptops get reviewed (after all the "pre-production/sponsored videos" are done). Seems like the best chip for a laptop paired with the arc GPU. Battery life looks great as well as performance (unless you are looking for a gaming rig then get one with a dedicated GPU). If I was looking at a gaming-centric laptop and was not worrying about battery life or weight, go with the sales that are going on with the 13th gen intel laptops (or even the 12th gen). Thanks for the video!
I've had the Yoga 9i the past few years and it is by far the best laptop I've every owned. I used to buy Dell but it seems like the motherboards would go out within 18 months.
I’ve never had a laptop ever, I always had a desktop, I just built a new rig in the beginning of the 40 super series. Working on the another house on the land and going back and forth is what made me go buy a laptop. I ended up getting a steal, Lenovo LOQ Ryzen 5 7000 series 16 gigs of DDR5 5600, RTX 4060, 1TB for 749.99 at my local micro center. Actually didn’t even pay that cause I had me and my wife’s old Apple Watches I already reset for our new ones. She ended up letting me trade them in so I got 260 for each one 520 off 749.99 so I got it brand new sealed for 230 bucks. My main rig blows it out the water. But just had my first weekend away working on the house and I had my whole main rig at my disposal away from home was playing cod, hades 2 early access, and even some f1 24 been loving it!

Get g14, 16gb internal and upgrades to 32gb with another stick. Also ddr5 I love my g14 and I’m glad I waited because it’s better the 2022. Also 7940 has npu.

Can you tell me if Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16IRH8 (82Y30021US) has only 16gb soldered RAM or one part is replaceable and I can add more RAM. What is the maximum value?
Bro , Ben If i used your link to purchase a laptop? is there any chance to have a shipment around asia? Coz here its expensive😅😆 I check the difference of the price Its too far haha, Any suggestions Thanks man🤙🔥
why r the slower 13 inch laptops being sold with higher end gear than the 16 inch versions. so frustrating, it should be the opposite. asus stuff is ridiculous in their prices and configurations being sold, they like to scam people who look at review videos and expect they r buying the same product that got reviewed....the configurations link to generic lesser configurations and they trick people with IPS display versions and why in the heck r they shipping the flow with 8 gb of ram and making the process of replacing that ram, much less finding a compatible stick, urself look like mission impossible.
What do you think about the Asus Zepgyrus G14/G16 2024 models? They look great and some early reviews look very promising. I do lots of Solidworks design, thanks
The NVIDIA GeForce GPUs are NOT great in Solidworks. I would try to find an older G14 with the RX6700s or RX6800s. That would be the best G14 for Solidworks.
He kind of says his picks are directed towards creators but more specifically in the description it states "I’m choosing these laptops from the perspective of a creative professional that does not game, so keep that in mind when you see my top 5 favorite laptops in 2024."
g14 2022 is a waste of money considering it doesnt look that profesional and there are better gaming options, g14 2023 is powerful yeah but design is pretty much like 2022 and there are better options for your money and bigger screens if you are full gamer, But the g14 2024 in the other hand is like a Mac on roids, it´s design is elegant but is more powerful than a mac in terms of gaming and it looks a lot better than the rest of the gaming laptops, so if you like to play the latest games in ultra settings and also go to work with it yeah it definitely is the best choice. Just my opinion. Great video tho.

Hi , thanks for the great content , I just bought a brand new Legion pro 5i Gen 8 , intel Core i7 13700 HX , Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU 8 GB GDDR6 , 16GB DDR-5 4800 MHz and while I was playing warzone on a display setting of 2560x1440 , 7,8 minutes into the game my laptop suddenly got turned off , now when I try too boot the RGB lights on keyboard are showing up but the Legion sign doesn’t come up ( black lcd ) , nothing comes up , tried holding power button for a minute , unplugged power button , let the laptop cool down but nothing works , I mean is this normal for a gaming laptop with this configuration ?
no
Try to remove older drivers and install new drivers.if still doesn't work, ask for replacement.
So i can get a 2022 g14 for £900 in the uk or the 2023 4060 g14 for £1200 which one would you recommend?
Get g14, 16gb internal and upgrades to 32gb with another stick. Also ddr5 I love my g14 and I’m glad I waited because it’s better the 2022. Also 7940 has npu.
Does the ASUS ROG Zephyrus have touchscreen?
No
BB only has the black model of the HP which is a shame because it looks like a fingerprint magnet
I agree. The white is WAY better for that reason alone.
which desktop do u have=?
What do you think is better? The g14 2024 or the omen transcend 14
i simply do not like the transcend keyboard, otherwise they seem pretty comparable
Comparable for sure. But I've yet to test the NEW models. I'll be receiving them SOON!

@@BenGKaiser ❤🔥
@@MightyAimetti-1same. The keyboard looks a bit ugly.
OK, but what about Acer swift X?
I'm very humble I'll go for the victus 😅
No need of being humble of that bro 😅
Victus is great. price to performance is solid. PLUS they improved the chassis design slightly in 2023, which I really like.
Lenovo is the best❤
I only needed one of these, with my salary any of these I would take 2 years to pay, success for you! :)
I got 2 of those laptops but newer Mac since this was made before the release
Mine 2023 asus g14 999.99 7940hs/rtx 4060, 4060 performance as well as the desktop versions and great battery.
Wife has a m3 Mac air 256gb/8gb 999.99.
is there any news about Legion slim 5 14'' 2024?
@@hansavacations7695 Thanks for advice, but I never trust a random guy from internet, who doesnt bring an argument for his point.
@@hansavacations7695can you expound a bit more
Most likely not going to see a refresh on these. At best we will see the latest Ryzen 8000 series CPU. They may SURPRISE us, but that's my guess.
@@BenGKaiser Thanks for answer.
Wait is m2 better than m3??? Why?
What do I have to do?
what about HP Spectre x360 2024?
i bought the msi stealth 14... got it under 1000 usd.. hoping it will be worth it..
I like Ben’s taste. He’s apparently a Ryan Dungey fan.
I was planning to buy yoga pro 7i until I heard intel's 13-14th gen issues.
What's the issue?
as a 3d modeler, I wouldn't touch any of these unless they had number pad
Just buy a higher sized version. Most 14 inch laptops don’t have numpads. Even 15” laptops have started removing it
Loved the g14 2022 edition but they really disappointed with the 2024 edition 😥
Agreed!
Spent 2k on the 9i and at first I loved it but the amount of problems I have had with it has been ridiculous. I am shocked as I thought lenovo laptops were extremely reliable
The new 9i 2 in 1 Gen 9?
@@leroxy1464 gen 8*
Hardware issues?
What about lenovo loq 15???
its 16 inch laptop is okay its a more budget friendly laptop with trash display and speakers and battery
Laptop for heavy rendering?
any idea yet?
Better to build a pc for heavy rendering
can you do a video on top 5 laptops you would buy with Other People's money
I bought Lenovo Legion slim 5 7840hs 16ddr5 5600 ram 1tb SSD 4060. 240hz 500nit wqhd
Turkey price: 1.766$
Dang! Great buy!
Also make videos exclusively 2in1touch and stylus support laptops.
I only see one, the HP Omen and its a HP, so really I see none.
Can you tell me if Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16IRH8 (82Y30021US) has only 16gb soldered RAM or one part is replaceable and I can add more RAM. What is the maximum value?
16 gb soldered and 1 slot to add 16gb
No matter what for me the HP VICTUS still is the best budget king 🙏
Bro , Ben If i used your link to purchase a laptop? is there any chance to have a shipment around asia? Coz here its expensive😅😆 I check the difference of the price Its too far haha, Any suggestions Thanks man🤙🔥
:(((
why r the slower 13 inch laptops being sold with higher end gear than the 16 inch versions. so frustrating, it should be the opposite. asus stuff is ridiculous in their prices and configurations being sold, they like to scam people who look at review videos and expect they r buying the same product that got reviewed....the configurations link to generic lesser configurations and they trick people with IPS display versions and why in the heck r they shipping the flow with 8 gb of ram and making the process of replacing that ram, much less finding a compatible stick, urself look like mission impossible.
No Framework 😢
I would not buy one, because I've never had the chance to use one.
Why am watching tech device while am not able to buy due to shortage of money!
I'm looking forward to the new ROG Zephyrus laptops for 2024. They look great.
I don't know But I like 2023 models
What do you think about the Asus Zepgyrus G14/G16 2024 models? They look great and some early reviews look very promising. I do lots of Solidworks design, thanks
Too expensive with no meaningful performance boost. Love the design though.
What do you suggest as an alternative for similar performance?
The NVIDIA GeForce GPUs are NOT great in Solidworks. I would try to find an older G14 with the RX6700s or RX6800s. That would be the best G14 for Solidworks.
''Laptops I ''WOULD'' buy with my own money'' 😂
I read some reviews about the Lenovo legion slim 5 that it’s too loud and wanted to know from someone that owns one if it’s actually that bad
Nah, it's not any louder than any other gaming laptop.
If you had any.
Just buy a Anti-Glare Screen protector for the legion Slim 5😎
Dude talk about cooling and gaming efficiency
He kind of says his picks are directed towards creators but more specifically in the description it states "I’m choosing these laptops from the perspective of a creative professional that does not game, so keep that in mind when you see my top 5 favorite laptops in 2024."
Correct!
Why not any of the acer predators included in them?
They are NOT a lap[top I would buy with my own money.
Acer after sales service is horrible.
You gonna do a giveaway?
ain't it a little early in the year for this video?
Nah... I see what's coming and this is pretty much how I'm feeling for the year.
g14 2022 is a waste of money considering it doesnt look that profesional and there are better gaming options, g14 2023 is powerful yeah but design is pretty much like 2022 and there are better options for your money and bigger screens if you are full gamer, But the g14 2024 in the other hand is like a Mac on roids, it´s design is elegant but is more powerful than a mac in terms of gaming and it looks a lot better than the rest of the gaming laptops, so if you like to play the latest games in ultra settings and also go to work with it yeah it definitely is the best choice. Just my opinion. Great video tho.
No x13??? Oh wait he said bang for the buck nvm 😭
What ??? Your "CHILDREN" use these laptops ? Brother I thought you are mere 22 years old. Damn you look young for your age man.
Love your videos brother. You'll reach millions of subscribes within 2 years.
Haha! Yes indeed. Thanks for watching and thanks for the support!
What About Rog Zephyrus M16 with rtx4070
Not my jam. But still a great laptop.
Awesome
Absolutely adore my Legion 5 Slim 14”. The bang for your buck is absolutely unmatched and I got mine on sale for $1000, $1300 after the upgrades. Unbelievable. I will say those speakers are just terrible though lol
3 Lenovo options but zero Dell XPS. Please...
