If you got your hands on these laptop selections, Spectre is clearly the best everyday non-gaming laptop, especially if you don’t care about their built in speakers and carry your own headphone on the go. Reading the comments, I am inclined to think people just prefer another laptop because of the brand name or bias because towards the laptop they own.
Hp Sucks. ASUS is way better for everything. Also odd that you said that if you don’t care about speakers. Terrible speakers on a laptop that’s 1.6k should be a crime.
Could you please review and compare the new Lenovo Yoga 7i (2-in-1) Gen 9? I would be interested in how the Intel Core Ultra chip compares to the AMD 7840S from last years Yoga Slim 7 Gen 8. The CPU and the higher display refresh rate and slightly smaller display seem to be the only dicernable differences.
what about the Yoga Slim 5 14 inch? Its so much cheaper and performs better in the gaming aspect while only weighing a little bit more than the others!
Are you talking about the Legion Slim 5 14? That one is a solid performer, but its a lot bulkier and does not really fit into this "lifestyle" every-day kinda notebook segment. It is a great contender in the 14" gaming laptop category, though!
could you include the constant load / sustained watt / performance tests in your videos? Thanks a lot for the reviews. Love the detailed reviews on the website!
Well, we have that information in our written reviews; I do not simply want to do a copy of those since I want to keep our videos a bit shorter and more easily "digestible" ;)
Yoga Slim 7 with 7640S/7840S is 1100€ here in Spain... :( Same price as the Zenbook 14. Spectre might not even be available here. So not sure what budget laptop there is for us ehre
Well, there aren't that many 15" left in the wild. So maybe an XPS 15 if you are fine with last-gen and do not need a ton of performance. Or if you want something faster, XMG just announced an amazing 15", the Fusion 15!
Excellent analysis! Would you possiblly comment also on MSI stealth AI studio 14 2024? Everyone agrees G14 is a stunning and budget friendly 14" gaming laptop but I am undecisive between stealth ai studio and G14.. The bettary life of stealth seems very bad but despite that MSI seems to have better cooling, upgradability, wifi connectivitiy, and similar performance?
I would throw in the Galaxy Book4 Pro and XPS 14, along with the obvious ultrabook King, the MB Air 13/15. There would still be no clear winner, as it is down to use cases and what is subjectively more important. We are at a point where even without the perfect laptop, there are multiple excellent choices, and it is a win for consumers.
XPS 14 is a disaster when compared to the others. Only advantage is a micro SD card reader. Asus Zenbook and HP Spectre 360 the best Windows laptops for prosumers in 2024. M3 Air is amazing too for iPhone owners.
I have been using lenovo yoga slim 7 for over a year. It is too fragile. Within months, 1-2 spots shows up on screen, sometimes there is an error with the touch screen, face recognition works 80ish% of the time, keyboard is fast but sometimes it jumps for some reason. Performance is comendable though. However, i would sacrifice a couple of grams for better built quality. Being a first time user of windows, it was a rather disappointing experience. Decided to trade in with asus zenbook 14 oled non touch screen. Hopefully the better build quality (supposedly) will be closer to the mac I used to use
Hello! I own ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UX3404VA-M9015W. Aida64 shows a RAM latency of 160 ms, which is inadequately high. I am looking for the same owners to confirm or refute a factory “bug” or defect, although this does not affect the operation of the laptop at all.
I guess that is a very personal choice, but since the Zenbook and the G14 offer both, the Slim 7 is a bit "limited" in that comparison. For almost everyone, just using this as a daily do-it-all 3 USB-C are probably more than good enough!
Still testing them, but I would say yes. If you do not want the fastest of them all, but rather a well rounded package that is absolutely beautiful ... I actually enjoy both a lot! The review will be out soon(-ish)
I'm in favor of the 4060 version of Zephyrus g14, but with only 16g of memory. Do I need to upgrade to 4070version? 1999usd will be a bit out of my budget.
What do you plan to do with it? The 4060 will perform all right, but 16 GB is a bit of a limiting factor if you want to get into heavier productivity or content creation, for example.

Yeah, that's a problem, especially for th Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, as that is locked to 32 GB at most, which may not be enough for some users, but that's the most you can get with it... The HP Spectre 14 would be my pick if I didn't need a dGPU or were doing ultrabook type tasks, followed by the Razer Blade 14 if I did.
The Core Ultra chip has LPDDR5X, which is not made in modular form. Most of us want the fastest and would not want downgraded RAM just for upgradeability. 32GB is enough for the vast majority of users.
In terms of chasis, keyboard performance/price Slim7 swipes the floor. G14 has more bass but slim7 sounds truest, the high prequency sound better on slim7. Easily the best window speaker so far. Slim7 is also has a 2 in 1 option and still the best in performance/price 1100$.

@@i3_i9 because I never use the speaker. I use my headphone. I have Zenbook 14 and Spectre X360 14, that’s my basis.
HP Omen transcend 14 is missing in your comparison just to give the g14 a run for its money
It arrived too late :/
But the review is coming soon!
The Zenbook can also come with the latest amd processor (almost the same as last year's) for 999€ with 512 GB storage and 16gb of ram
You are right; they just announced the availability of that particular SKU.
I just got the ZenBook with the ultra I9 CPU and 32 ram this little machine is a beast, the G14 cost twice the price of the ZenBook,
Hi, i might get the same, how is the fan noise at all? Did you test it? Would be nice if you could answer. 😀
@@TennisBoyyy I use the fan on silent mode, so I barely hear it, but I have not tested it under heavy load.
Hows the battery?
@@Tgrjye The battery is great for web browsing and light coding; I can use it for up to 15-18 hours.
@@AirLineASMRcan the zenbook run any pc games?
Torn between Lenovo and Asus.
I'll mainly use them for college. It involves business analytics and would use software such as Power BI, Excel, etc.

u can't go wrong with either, both can handle that easily

Short and informative 👌
Thanks for the kind words!
Great review. Which you will think as the best 15”windows?
Still X1 Carbon for me... But the G14 and Slim 7 look very appealing.
btw I heard the Spectre does not include a hub at all, only the pen unless its a review unit
Sir, why you not included samsung galaxy book 4 pro
Could you please do same video for 16” laptops? I’m hesitating between XPS 16 / Zephyrus G16 / Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i
Thanks !!
Good ideo, but I might not have them all in the studio at the same time! But the XPS 16 will come soon!
Thank you so much for the video ❤
Great review, thanks.
Could have also included the 14 inch macbook pro.
How has the zenbook been
can you give an update? is the zenbook good?

With the new amd 8845hs 8840hs or 370 and intel 185H do you think everything is different now?
where to get those wallpapers?
Why did you leave out the XPS 14?
Pls make same for 16 inc, would be good to see that too
Already planning for it! :)
i wouldn't call an ultra thin with 3 usb-c including TB4 'limited'. I would much prefer high bandwidth modern ports instead of usb-a
I guess that is a very personal choice, but since the Zenbook and the G14 offer both, the Slim 7 is a bit "limited" in that comparison.
For almost everyone, just using this as a daily do-it-all 3 USB-C are probably more than good enough!
If you put price point aside, are xps 14 and 16 able to compete against these?
Still testing them, but I would say yes. If you do not want the fastest of them all, but rather a well rounded package that is absolutely beautiful ... I actually enjoy both a lot!
The review will be out soon(-ish)
I'm in favor of the 4060 version of Zephyrus g14, but with only 16g of memory. Do I need to upgrade to 4070version? 1999usd will be a bit out of my budget.
What do you plan to do with it? The 4060 will perform all right, but 16 GB is a bit of a limiting factor if you want to get into heavier productivity or content creation, for example.

Nice! I really liked that one, they nailed the look and feel part!
Planning to buy Spectre ... Do you find any faulty issues...Do you suggest buying this laptop or Macbookpro
@@syedmohdfaize7813 the laptop looks and feels really premium, the hinge although is very rigid but sometimes when I lift the laptop up in a hurry it just slips and opens upto 180°, sometimes its hard to open with one hand because you don't get the space to stick the finger and lift it up and for the touchscreen part which I thought would be useful to me(I have not yet felt the need of using the pen it's still in the box), personally it is not for me I really dont need it, battery life is very good, keyboard has a nice click, speakers are good, peformance is decent enough, the price is really for the premium built of the laptop, it is a very good day to day laptop and if you are not looking for specifically a 2 in 1 or not an artist you should go for g14 or a mac. Premium 14 inch without MacBook Pro 14, Razer Blade 14 (potentially Alienware X14r2)?
The most premium thing about the blade 14 is its price. I think the G14 is much better.(just my opinion...)
@@dilinaweragama Yeah, and that’s exactly why every premium-priced laptop should be included if you want to determine the best.
The idea for this video was to compare your premium "ultrabooks", and I included the G14 because of its ultrabook-like form factor.
If we would do a 14" Gaming or Performance comparison video, we would, of course, talk about the Blade, a Macbook Pro 14, maybe the Legion Slim 5 14, and maybe even the Omen 14.

HP shows much better results if you switch it to performance mode.
Can the Intel Arc integrated gpu run sketchup and autocad?
Do you have any updates on this ? Need a laptop for cad as well
@@muemmelil not yet. Still finding an answer also. I also tried looking in reddit
@@sandinopaulino5552 yeah I also looked into Reddit. I’m getting mixed feedback. Some say an integrated GPU is fine, but other say you need a dedicated GPU. I think I’ll buy the asus Zenbook 14 with the integrated GPU ext week and test it out. If it doesn’t work, I’ll just return it. if you’re a student like me, you’ll only need CAD for a couple semesters. if you buy a laptop with a dGPU your battery will not last that long. I want laptop which is in general fun to use is pleasant to work with (i.e. long lasting battery good speakers/display, etc.). So I think an iGPU will suffice. What about Legion 5 slim 14 oled? Is that a bad choice?
Not at all if you are looking for a gaming/performance machine.
I was just including the G14 because of its super slim form factor; the Legion is much bulkier in comparison.
@@NotebookcheckReviews Thank you for answering.
Quick question, do you think I'll notice that the Lenovo 14’’ doesn't have G-Sync?
I was between the ROG G14 (2023) or the Lenovo 14, but I feel I got the most for the money for the Lenovo and that it had oled.
So i ordered Lenovo with 32gb/1tb.
Where is Razer Blade 14?

Love the video quality. Regarding the video, I'm a big fan of the 2024 Asus Zenbook 14 and 2024 HP Spectre 360 for those not obsessed with gaming. The Asus ROG G14 for gaming.
For those looking for discounts on the 2023 models, look into Asus Zenbook Pro 14x 6404, Lenovo ThinkPad T14s (AMD 7 7840U), or M2 MacBook Pro 14.
Thank you! :)
And yes, I wonder what Asus has planned for the Zenbook Pro 14 refresh, it is such a solid notebook already!
You can get an Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Oled Touch display loaded with a RTX4070, i9 13gen, 32gb DDR5 and a 1T SSD for $1600 (in the US). Why would you even bother considering this lineup at this price range??
Why not Blade 14?
I was trying to focus more on your typical "lifestyle" notebook, but the Blade is leaning a lot more toward the gaming/performance part of the market, in my opinion!
@@NotebookcheckReviews Blade 14 overshadows Zephyrus G14 in almost every aspect…if G14 was included then Blade 14 should’ve been too in my opinion. It’s almost 1.8 kilos, got clean minimalist aesthetics and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut with 3ms screen response.
sadly, none of these laptops can upgrade RAM
Yeah, that's a problem, especially for th Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, as that is locked to 32 GB at most, which may not be enough for some users, but that's the most you can get with it...
The HP Spectre 14 would be my pick if I didn't need a dGPU or were doing ultrabook type tasks, followed by the Razer Blade 14 if I did.
The Core Ultra chip has LPDDR5X, which is not made in modular form. Most of us want the fastest and would not want downgraded RAM just for upgradeability. 32GB is enough for the vast majority of users.
@@andyH_England Mostly true, except not for creative users.

G14 has more bass but slim7 sounds truest, the high prequency sound better on slim7. Easily the best window speaker so far.
