    Here we were bored so we started to play random tunes, and as you can hear he was telling me the keys for the tunes before starting them. It's fun! More info below:
    The instrument is a Chieftain low whistle in the key of D.

    I’m so glad you guys didn’t delete these old videos. I used to watch/listen to this video and the “Irish Flute + Tin Whistle & Guitar” video 15 years ago. 31 now and still brings back the same feelings as when I first watched it. Absolutely beautiful :)

    It is 2019, @tinwhistler and this video still rocks!
    You inspired me with this video to start my own journey on the low whistle. Been playing for about 4 months now.
    I honestly didn’t know it existed until I started listening more closely to Irish music. Now that i know what it is, I hear it a lot more often.

    I love this, cause he tells you when he's changing on the guitar then you go ahead and change on the flute without stoping. You should really make go pro with this.

    I just got my Chieftain tuneable v4 low d. Dreaming of playing that well some day! But moving back from england to Ireland soon so hopefully I'll find a good teacher.

    As far as I know, in the true style of the Irish flute, there is a constant stream of air and little to no tongue used, much like the bagpipes. I believe that to articulate, you usually decorate the notes (ex going from A to F , would be something along the lines of A-GAG-F, etc). It's a very free style of music.
    Again, this is to my knowledge (which isn't very extensive)

    I mostly use ornaments like cuts and taps but I do tongue some note in the beginning of the phrases. I think that's what everybody does.

    Loved the last two - I'm a sucker for minor keys!
    I'm not sure how intentional that A major was at the start of The Abbey Reel but it sounded great none the less - the progression from A major to A minor sounds really good to me for some reason.
